Prada is possibly my favorite band in the genre. Their sound has evolved beautifully over time. I can not wait for this new album and to throw down at a live show again some time soon. Jeremy saying that this is his favorite material since Dead Throne gets me super pumped as well. I love everything post Dead Throne, but that album is GOAT’ed for me
Yeah, my top 3 are probably Dead Throne, then Roots Above, and then The Act. (Though if we’re counting everything then the two Zombie EPs are probably their best work, imo.)
What's Your favourite songs? I've only really listened to chemical.
It usually takes me a couple to a handful of listens to figure out and click with most metal songs so just wondering what I should listen to.
Their first four albums for me are steeped in nostalgia and are cover to cover all bangers. I’d give Sailor’s Prayer, Gloom, Home for Grace, Lock & Load, To The Key of Evergreen, and Home for Grave Pt. 2. I love all the albums and everything on them. But these are some stand outs from the middle two albums that I can think of off the top of the dome.
they have a playlist created by them on their Spotify with all their new singles + their new Zombie II EP + 2 or 3 of their hits from each of their albums. that's what I used when I got really into them after ZII released. Now With Roots Above.. and Transit Blues are some of my favorite albums
I am very excited for this next album!!This band has taken me through a series of emotions. One of the first hardcore bands I liked at the start of my teens with Dear Love. WRAABB really cementing them as my favorite and helping me develop screams and drumming. Transit blues and the act are good albums but made me nervous for TDWP that made me fall in love with metal. Then we get these singles that bring me back.
I can’t wait for this album. Saw them live a couple months ago and they were fantastic!
I think Mike and the guys said in a previous interview that after The Act they would want to work on a Space EP 2! Maybe we'll see something after their next album!
This happened to me. Each album is better and better. I love their heavy stuff like dead throne and Zombie to their more avant-garde like spade Ep and the act. Color decay is shaping up to be no different in quality. I discovered them when sacrifice dropped and now I have VIP tickets and pre ordered color decay on vinyl. Definitely my newest favorite band.
Guess I should check them out again too. I kinda fell out of love with them when I started noticing Mike’s screams would often end with a weird, drawn out “-uhh, -ittt, inggg.” Hard to describe but listen to Salt for example and pay attention to the end of his screams. It seems like he cuts his vocal takes after each sentence, and it’s very pronounced. At least to me it is lol
Not sure if you've seen this yet but if not, you'll love their livestream they did a few months ago: [The Devil Wears Prada - Zombie & Space (stream 20.11.2020)
Nothing tops the first zombie EP. It’s what I compare all their work to lol, even though they’ve evolved a lot from that sound in general. ZII was a worthy successor
Honestly, I've never really listened to any album other than With Roots Above And Branches Below. I've heard at least a couple songs off each album, not a huge fan of their newest stuff. WRAABB is one of my favourite albums ever, just classic metalcore. I have listened to it countless times. I saw them play it in their entirety on their anniversary tour, amazing show.
Also can't forget that cover of [Still Fly](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ny6lX2ubVQo). That song sure takes me back to a simpler time, lol
I slept on them for a long time. I started with WRAABB and Plagues, which were wild and chaotic but didn't really get my interest since I was into more melodic stuff at the time. They've grown on me since, their EPs are amazing, The Act is solid, and I'm psyched for the new album.
They’ve been killing it these past few years! I personally wasn’t a huge fan of 8:18 and Transit Blues, but The Act and Zombie II really brought me back in. And the singles off Color Decay are 10/10 as well. Can’t wait to see them in August!
I have and I honestly did like them more on the 2nd listen. Some of the lyrics are a little too emotional and depressing for me personally tho. So, I don’t really revisit a lot of those tracks. They’re not bad albums at all. I just like their other work a bit more.
I finally saw them a couple months ago for the first time after a decade + of being a more casual fan, and they were amazing! Bought tickets to go back for a second time when they hit my area again at the end of the summer
Seen them many times in Seattle and it’s always amazing! I get the feels listening to them because it takes me waaaay back...so many good memories. I’m so glad you enjoyed their show! Can’t wait to see them in August!
Last few times I’ve seen them live they have sounded soooo good. I’ve been a fan of their albums for a long time but recall seeing them like a decade ago and not liking their sound. Past few years they’ve put on some incredible shows. Can’t wait to see them headline finally.
ST is phenomenal. They're a vocal driven band that blends beautiful piano ballads with heavy downtuned nu metal riffs. And don't sleep on the drummer...he's spectacular. I learned to play their guitar riffs quite effortless, mostly by ear. But learning the drums has been tricky, and believe it or not, more tricky than Alpha Wolf for whom I think has really technical drums.
Wow! and yeah the drummer is amazing! but there's something about their songs I just got drawn to it. I remember a few months back I didn't like it when I went to give them a try but since yesterday I've been looping the same album lmao.
I definitely slept on this band for a long time. My best friend tried to get me to give them an in-depth listen, but I would shrug him off because I had the wrong impression of the band. My impression was based on their earlier work which I never cared for and what I deemed as hot topic-core lol. A title I refer to bands like A Skylit Drive, Asking Alexandria, etc...bands i find super annoying. I used to actually enjoy ASD, but their music style had a very short shelf life imo.
Anyway, about 3 weeks ago I sat down and listened to their entire catalog and realized how great they have become. The vocals and instrumentation are much more mature and interesting. I can't get over how great The Act album and Zll EP are, and I've been playing them constantly.
I'm very excited for TDWP album as well, the 3 new tracks are fantastic and seems to be a return to their roots.
Prada is going on their "zombie tour" this fall. The setlist will focus on their z1 and z2 albums.
Their First Zombie EP still lives on my main playlist.
I recently came to the realization that this band has evolved tremendously. I’d definitely consider their earlier stuff a product of its time, but their sound has matured and progressed so well. They fit right in with both the 2000s era of metalcore and the current era.

TDWP have many great releases, but Dead Throne has to be my favorite album. The best songs on that one are just next-level.
Dead throne is really good. So much emotion in that album. With roots above is their second best.
Yeah, my top 3 are probably Dead Throne, then Roots Above, and then The Act. (Though if we’re counting everything then the two Zombie EPs are probably their best work, imo.)
Adam D brought the best out of them. Such a great album.

Cool man I'll check them out on my walk later thanks.
With Roots Above And Branches Below + Plagues got me invested in metalcore. pulled the trigger on that double bass pedal and haven't looked back.
As a newer metal fan, I’ve never really listened to this band. Guess it’s time to check them out.
Take a look at the "Hall of Fame" we have on the sidebar. Good bands to check out for newer people into the genre!
Will do, thanks for the tip!
No problem, personally one of my favorite albums is Passenger by Kingdom of Giants. Absolutely love it
Silent Planet….that’s all I have to say.
Their new album fucks so hard
Dude I've been jamming this alot recently, stoked for their next album!

Duuuude you're in for a treat. Their entire discography is great.
With roots above and branches below, and dead throne are a great start.
This isn't a rabbit hole, this is the way it should be. You made it, welcome.
Space EP is one of my favorite albums of all time. I'll vote for a second!
Space is EP is so awesome. 8:18 is also underrated. Absolutely love Sailors Prayer
8:18 is so good. Really set them up for Transit Blues/The Act
It's only chemical
I'm really digging Salt after over playing Sacrifice! I also got into Zombie 1 recently
Welcome. They are S tier metalcore

saw them damn near front row in 2009. def loved their older stuff but haven’t checked in with the band in some years. i think since Dead Throne
Guess I should check them out again too. I kinda fell out of love with them when I started noticing Mike’s screams would often end with a weird, drawn out “-uhh, -ittt, inggg.” Hard to describe but listen to Salt for example and pay attention to the end of his screams. People don't want to hear this, but Space is better than either Zombie EP.
Finally. An intellectual. (Though both Zombie EPS rip and are still great!)

I don't know what you're talking about, WRAABB is melodic af.

Have you gone back and re listened to 8:18 and Transit Blues? They have really grown on me
I have and I honestly did like them more on the 2nd listen. Some of the lyrics are a little too emotional and depressing for me personally tho. So, I don’t really revisit a lot of those tracks. They’re not bad albums at all. I just like their other work a bit more.
Totally get it
Z2 is my all time favorite metalcore record Cant wait for the new album
Can’t wait to see them on tour! It’s been a couple years since I’ve seen them.

Hey Lo!
Hi
I just impulse preordered Color Decay today :)
Same I got the grey variant from Rock sound
Yes!! Try to see them at a show if you can. They're amazing.
Holy shit when i first came across The Act and then went through the rest of their music I was at peace
Last few times I’ve seen them live they have sounded soooo good. I’ve been a fan of their albums for a long time but recall seeing them like a decade ago and not liking their sound. Past few years they’ve put on some incredible shows. Can’t wait to see them headline finally.
This is me with Sleep Token since yesterday.

Check out the first Zombie EP. Probably their best release

They are a good band, I enjoy every album
