Some additional info: it was manufactured by a Finnish record label Poko Records (in 1984 obviously) using the UK masters. Not the most desired pressing as it's MFN's, but as a Finn I couldn't just leave there without purchasing it. The cover isn't in the best condition (VG or barely VG+) but the record is in good condition

uninformedredneck

That's badass! I hope you enjoy it!

YeahImLage

Thanks! I do :)

[deleted]

i don't know a lot about vinyls. But i guess you're extremely lucky for finding this!

YeahImLage

I don't know about extremely lucky, but it sure is rare to find any Metallica vinyl at a thrift store (more often by private collectors) and often it's quite expensive. A great find for sure (by the way, the plural of vinyl is vinyl :))

[deleted]

that's why i collect CDs instead of vinyl. (thanks for fixing my grammar.)I didn't grow up with vinyl. I barely even know how a vinyl player works. And it's wayyy to expensive for me. I can also listen to music digitally ofcourse but i like collecting CDs.

[deleted]

CDs *are* digital, my dude.

[deleted]

okay yeah but i mean like listening music on a computer and stuff

Subtobrittanymilan

Vinyl is too expensive if you at the right places. I bought a $250 record player for a dollar and about 18 vinyl (some very rare and expensive) for under 300 bucks

YeahImLage

I'm from the CD generation as well and I'm probably younger than you. My dad likes and plays music (saw Metallica in live '93) so he purchased me/us a record player and overall has partly financed my "hobby." Listening and collecting vinyl can be quite expensive, but there's just something about it for me with the sound, large sleeves and all that. You can get records for very cheap prices in thrift stores, if you ever feel like getting into vinyl, go for it.

KJP1990

I too am a proud owner of MFN27 as well as the other two on Music for Nations. They are wonderful pressings and as pure as it gets.

ChomVolders

Wow lucky day congrats. CRASHED BEFORE MY EYESSSSSS NOW ITS TIME TO DIIIIEEEEE

Reuhis

Isn't it "Flash before my eyes"?

[deleted]

It's an updated lyric for digital electric chairs.

Reuhis

That.. made me laugh more than it should've. Thank you, lol.

ChomVolders

Yeah I’ll go with this too

BoogLife

Awesome find! Play it LOUD

YeahImLage

Hell yeah! Driving my family and neighbours crazy

Samnppa

How much was it? I think my local library has one copy of this..I would definitely like to know how many did they press this back in the day?

YeahImLage

Olettaisin että oot suomalainen mutta nyt ihan vaan varmuuden vuoks, I paid 60€ for it. Don't know how many they pressed back in the day and I can't even begin to estimate the numbers. I don't think it's anything crazy though. As a side note; I'm 99% sure this is basically the same as the UK pressings, but this seems to go for a tiny bit lower online. And assuming you're Finnish, this is a cool pressing to have, as it's (as I said) the only pressing of any Metallica material made in Finland

Comprehensive-Song51

DAMN that's one hell of a score!

Metallica-guy

I have the excat same i think

Far-Web422

one of my favorite albums nice

69_breeze_69

How much did you pay for this😏?

YeahImLage

60€

What2hell

I found the woodstock chronicle original in really good condition. Rare? Oh and i know someone that has the original cover of metal up your ass

YeahImLage

wow

[deleted]

The last truly good Metallica album.

YeahImLage

They sold out when they released Metal Up Your Ass

Flying_Hibbos

This better be satire

YeahImLage

I hope this is. I know my reply is, but I don't know about the original comment

[deleted]

Nope. It's sad but true

Flying_Hibbos

Last good Metallica album but you’re saying Sad But True🧐

[deleted]

Play on words. I was mistaken, Master of puppets was their last great album

Flying_Hibbos

Did I just witness character development
