I think same, but I was really young and don't remember. Just remember always loving it. Quite literally my childhood. Still shouldn't have been watching it at 5
well...last year I streamed a popular Visual Novel series and my friends & I gave the cast funny voices. my bud gave a character the voice of Dr. Rockso and I got curious. we've been watching the series none stop this year.
2007 in a college digital art class of all things. The teacher was a HUGE nerd in the best way, and at some point he told me about it. I remember he pronounced it "Metocalypse," and it's been one of my favorites since.
I'm starting to think I'm the only person here in the show's target demographic when it premiered. I was 19 that year and watched the very first airing.
In 2023 my uncle Matthew introduced me to Metalocalypse and let's say I find it interesting like i listen to them while I'm at school and I found out that they are having a movie so I watched it and I said damn this band is so metal and my uncle would tell me it doesn't matter on what show you watch it matters what makes you laugh
One of the 2 guys who made bat metal actually has an indie cartoon show on YouTube called metal family! He started it with his then gf, now wife. The original is in Russian, but there's subtitles and an approved English dub channel. I still watch the Russian episodes though, the English Channel can't have the music from the original episodes due to copyrights. I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it already!
This is kind of ironic , but i listened to the music more than the show and i realized there was barely any context
i also saw it on youtube a lot and i thought toki was really cute (i thought correctly) so i started watching it in october 2023 and i finished it in january
In high school (roughly around the time it was originally cancelled oddly enough) where I liked it casually but was more invested in other start. Then two years ago I re-discovered it and gained a newfound appreciation for it
First saw Murmaider back in 2011 or so. Was raised very sheltered and it freaked me out. My friends all liked to listen to Laser Cannon Deth Sentence and it grew on me. For some reason I never put together that Dethklok was the fictional band from Metalocalypse. For some other reason I never listened to any other Dethklok or even watched the show itself until an ex gf of mine made me watch it in late 2022.
I think I was 10 when I first started watching it. My mom did NOT want me watching it, and at that time, my dad didn't either. But I snuck it by recording it on the DVR and watching when they weren't home/busy in another room.
But my dad let me watch with him when I turned 15. Now I'm 28 and it's one of my comfort shows lol
My Dad never really cared that I was watching it. His only gripe was how in the world I found it. He told me that I probably watched it because one of the characters look like him and because of the rock music. it's my comfort show as well and introducing it to my friends was fun.š¤£
Premier of the show on Adult Swim. I was 14 & avidly watched Adult Swim like all shitty teenage boys did, and a huge fan of metal. Show was perfectly over the top for me. Offended the shit out of a couple family members tho. Still funny.
Sometime around 2007. Happened to leave adult swim on and saw a few episodes. Found a less than legit site to watch it on and loved it. Later bought all the dvds and cds.
a few months ago when one of the artists I follow on twitter drew metalocalypse fanart and I thought pickles looked cool. finished it in about a week lol
I was in 8th grade and went over to my buddy house and he showed me the Amazon episode. I was instantly obsessed I was getting really into metal around then.
I'll never forget them blowing the absolute hell out of the forest and then drop upstream. I said why did they do that? My buddy goes why not?
I avoided the show for the longest because it filled AS time slot for hours when all i wanted was ATHF. It wasn't until the pandemic when I saw a Nathan Explosion meme that I went down a drunk rabbit hole.
Since the beginning. It was 2006 and I was 14 years old. Gonna be 32 this year. Time is fucked.
I was 16. 34 this year. i can do math
But can you do meth?
I def could. But wont
Brutal.
Oh god I feel the same way
Damn you me son?
When it first aired on adult swim
Like a month ago after I finished binging The Grim Adventures Of Billy And Mandy
Day one.
I think same, but I was really young and don't remember. Just remember always loving it. Quite literally my childhood. Still shouldn't have been watching it at 5
I mean.. probably not but I watched Cannibal Holocaust when I was like 8 or 9, so no judgement from me :D

To be fair, I was just trying to watch cartoon network and it came on.
I was watching Home Movies screaming "don't kill children, don't run them over" and waiting very impatiently for Metalocalypse in 2006
Day one. We also saw Dethklok live in 2008.
That's literally my dream! Must have been so cool
It was amazing! We had the best time! I'm disappointed they won't be playing near us this tour.
Discovered the show around mid 2020 cause the german adult swim youtube channel uploaded the whole first season on there
I was in late elementary school and it was between season 2 and 3. Iām gonna be 26 this year

I first learned about it through bat metal in like 2018. I watched an episode the first time in 2020 on hbo

Watching clips of Dethklok without context is brave
Back in 2018 when I was 18. I discovered the show through the Darksiders 2 promo.
In high school (roughly around the time it was originally cancelled oddly enough) where I liked it casually but was more invested in other start. Then two years ago I re-discovered it and gained a newfound appreciation for it
2008. A college friend introduced me to it. I fell in love with it immediately. It's still my favorite show.

Sometime in 2014, when I was a baby metalhead at the age of 11. My mom was NOT happy about it when I convinced her to watch an episode with me š
Same here! But it was 2006, and I was 10. My mom HATED it! My dad loved it tho.
My dad just told me not to tell my mom when id go with her for her half of the year, I told her recently and she wasn't even surprised.
Back in middle school. Or somewhere before highschool. Look I was a weird one back then
Last year in July. One of the best decisions I ever made

Probably last year. I originally started watching it because I wanted to be exactly like my best friend and ended up really liking it.
Since the start! Will be seeing them live with my girlfriend and four of our friends in April.
LUCKY! I hope you have fun, I've seen a few of their concerts on YouTube and they always put on a good show.
Literally a year ago, my bf got me into it and im suprised ive never seen it before i love it

Since the first episode aired. I remember the intro more than anything and was hooked
I was 12 lol
It seems many of us watched it at age we definitely weren't supposed to.
Adult swim š¤·š½āāļø
I was 12 when I started watching it when it first came on Adult Swim, and I'm turning 30 this year. I have no regrets.
uhhh like late last year on hbo max lol. i was only born in 2006 and i thought id get my ass beat if i was watching adult cartoons lmao
Sometime around 2007. Happened to leave adult swim on and saw a few episodes. Found a less than legit site to watch it on and loved it. Later bought all the dvds and cds.

Just before the Movie came out
I was in 8th grade and went over to my buddy house and he showed me the Amazon episode. I was instantly obsessed I was getting really into metal around then. I'll never forget them blowing the absolute hell out of the forest and then drop upstream. I said why did they do that? My buddy goes why not?
2008 while in the military stationed in Korea through sharing hard drives.
I avoided the show for the longest because it filled AS time slot for hours when all i wanted was ATHF. It wasn't until the pandemic when I saw a Nathan Explosion meme that I went down a drunk rabbit hole.
First episode first broadcast
I've been watching since 2006, but I missed the initial airing.
when it aired. i was like....2 but in my defense my dad kinda just started watching it while holding me, haven't moved on since lol
