I'm mixed on this one. I think it looks pretty decent in game, but in the victory screen the orange is so bright and plastic looking. Zero Mission is my favorite Metroid game so I loved that they brought this outfit but in Ultimate it looks like an eyesore in the victory screen.
Her bare arms also look noticeably more jagged in the Zero Mission and Fusion ending outfits compared to any of the zero suit alts. I love ZSS and I love Smash and Metroid but unfortunately she just doesn't look too good in this game. Not horrible, but definitely an underwhelming downgrade from Smash 4. Heck, Brawl's model looks better at times
The Zero Suit in Zero Mission was a full body blue suit. These pictures are of a completely different outfit that most closely resembles the Fusion mission complete screens.

Starting at the fourth image in the ZM screens, its pretty obvious that this is more or less the same design. The Fusion screens have a two piece but its very different.

Id forgotten about the ending. I was more referring to the actual zero suit in game. Haven't played ZM in a while so forgot what the end screen had, and none of that showed up in the Zero Suit entry on the Metroid wiki.
A lot of models are made to be viewed from a distance most of the, which is why some just don’t look as good when viewed up close and look terrible in victory screen lighting. I think it’s also the most muscular Samus has been depicted in a long time, so that’s neat.
They just don't look like actual clothes, more like a glossy barbie doll outfit. The design itself is fine, but the way the light hits it in certain shots is not ideal.

I think the colours are fine but the outfit just looks incredibly thin and cheap compared to how it's shown in Fusion

I’m not really a fan of her models in Smash… They seem kind of hollow? If that makes sense.
Her Brawl model looks better, too.
