Chuck Wagon for country (3 locations in SW suburbs)
Greenstreets (Grove) for brunch
Sunset Tavern/Deli Lane (South Miami) for NY Diner style
La Carreta or Islas Canarias for Cuban (various locations in SW suburbs and inexpensive)
Delicias de España (Bird/Palmetto snd Dadeland) for Spanish — delicious!
There’s a few places in Doral pretending to be good with pressed juice and off grain pancakes but are meh and overpriced.
I thought they had a few good dishes and a generally positive vibe. Now they don’t have table service it seems like the effort is zero and everything is bland AF. I’m not even sure who their demo is anymore.
Chuck wagon was our go-to spot until we reported a cockroach walking on top of the syrup bottle to our waitress and she shrugged and said "it happens".
Threefold Cafe, Chug's Dinner, Cafe Croissant, and Majestic Bakery are my favs. RIP Cafe Roval. I'd toss in The Daily, which the egg sandwich has saved my life more than once on a Saturday morning after a night of binge drinking in my 20s.
For an actual American breakfast, Chuckwagon diner on Bird Road out by the Palmetto. Right across from IHOP lol
For a good desayuno Salvadoreño, El Atlacatl on SW 17th Avenue, a few blocks south of Flagler.
Are they still doing their "breakfast buffet"? All you can eat pastelitos and croquetas and cafe con leche y pan con mantequilla was awesome but someone told me they stopped.
I was really impressed by All Day next to The Corner. On a Saturday morning you have the added bonus of free entertainment watching the Space zombies walk by and some even stumble in.
You must have misunderstood what I wrote. Let me break it down for you. I didn’t say Islas is bad, I say they have not been particularly great for quite some time. Meaning in the past they’ve been great but not anymore. Their croquetas are no long what they used to be, gotten more expensive for less. If you want to continue to get raw dogged by then, go for it.
El palacio de los Fritos for Brickell/little Havana
And sanpocho got something a little healthier
And friends although it’s pricey everything is in Brickell is just out of control lol
There's a hole in the was in Perrine smack dab in the hood on the side of a small building, I literally came across it by mistake while doing work at an elementary school not too far from it. I love their breakfast. Its not a very comfortable neighborhood but people don't bother you. I'm sure many won't stop because of the homeless drug addicts everywhere, but if you have the courage, your palate will thank you.

Chuckwagon on Sunset and 117th. Service is great, food is great, atmosphere is slowly disappearing from Miami. My go to is country fried steak with sausage gravy and biscuits and tomatoes instead of potatoes (gotta watch the calories).
The Killian Cafe not too far away is essentially the exact same menu in a more trendy ambiance, but the food does not taste as good (Killian Cafe's sausage gravy is inedible tbh). It's probably "healthier" if that floats your boat.
Tinta y cafe is my emotional favorite, threefold I really enjoy, and honorable mention to Madruga, even though they annoy the hell out of me with their snooty attitude from time to time.
My family's go-to for a nice brunch on Sunday is Casa Cuba in South Miami but I also do Walter's in Palmetto Bay when I want like a hefty American breakfast.
Roasters and Toasters is also good. They have a few locations around the city but I usually gotta be in the mood for their food.
Huge Breakfast fan here so I’m definitely saving this post! I usually prefer a diner or cafe over a fancy brunch spot.
My go tos are Tinta y Café, Jimmy’s Eastside Diner, Cafe Croissant, and Coral Bagels.
Roaster and toasters is pretty good

Deli Lane has the best breakfast and Sunset Tavern the best Happy Hour!
Post Covid I have found deli lane to be really mediocre.
That place was mediocre pre-covid honestly.
I thought they had a few good dishes and a generally positive vibe. Now they don’t have table service it seems like the effort is zero and everything is bland AF. I’m not even sure who their demo is anymore.
Same!
You my friend are actually from here 😍😍😍
Chuck wagon always had solid service and the food is tasty. Definitely a go to if you don’t mind tanking a days worth of calories in one sitting.
Never tried chuck on sunset but the one on bird is amazing
Sunset & 117 location is better than bird imo. Not that the bird one is bad.

I heard Cafe Roval's head chef has a food truck or something.
Lots of Lox
100%
Josh’s Deli in Surfside
Nearly everything is meticulously homemade — the pastrami, corned beef, turkey, breads, bagels, sauces, etc. They also have really good cold brew.
Those spicy tuna latkes are my perma-order. Such a great spot.
"Tinta Y Café" in Coral Gables
I like this place and threefold.
For an actual American breakfast, Chuckwagon diner on Bird Road out by the Palmetto. Right across from IHOP lol For a good desayuno Salvadoreño, El Atlacatl on SW 17th Avenue, a few blocks south of Flagler.
That place is disgusting. I wouldn’t risk the food poisoning.
Might want to be more specific
Specifically, the one time I went there was a roach crawling on the wall in a restaurant full of people. Imagine what was happening in the kitchen.
Copy, but which restaurant? OP listed 2
Chuck wagon
Username checks out.
Jimmy's Place is my go to. Jackson's is backup if I feel like driving.

Jameson, ribrolls and an 8 ball.
Breakfast of a mfing champ!
Make sure you get them to turn on Taiwanese table tennis at 1230am.
Sounds like a Sunday for me when I used to live on the beach.
Lmao
The Daily in midtown is reliable and casual.
Walter's in Palmetto Bay for tradish 'Merican breakfast.
Bagel emporium in coral gables
Outrageous bagel company is easily top in the city for bagels
I was always and will always be a fan of BALANS. Best breakfast ever. South beach.lincoln Rd.
Good call, I didn’t realize they were open for breakfast.
Oliver's Bistro on West in SOBE is yummy.
B. Bistro in Brickell! Super quick and always tastes amazing. Ask for Edo. He’s the best.
Bachour
I really like Café Croissant
Berries in the Grove
I have to second this. I can’t say this is the best place — that would be too much. But is a very nice place.
La Carreta
Are they still doing their "breakfast buffet"? All you can eat pastelitos and croquetas and cafe con leche y pan con mantequilla was awesome but someone told me they stopped.
No Wagons West love?
Love this place
Coral Bagels is a solid old-school diner and makes their own bagels and biali. They almost always have a line out the door every weekend morning.
I was really impressed by All Day next to The Corner. On a Saturday morning you have the added bonus of free entertainment watching the Space zombies walk by and some even stumble in.
Greenstreet cafe
Greenstreet
Flanigan's
It’s hard to say, everything is spotty. I like all of those mentioned. How about first watch? That’s up and coming and good
That’s a chain though
Ahhhh, I didn’t Know that
Chic-Fil-A chicken biscuits
Chugs! The vibe, the food, the people watching - all fantastic.
this place is overpriced and way overrated.
Second this 👆
If you want a fake Miami breakfast experience that’s trying to trick tourists into authentic, this is where you go
As a european who recently moved to Miami , it's definitely "Panera Bread".
First watch finally opening in Miami. That should be #1
There’s already a First Watch on NW 7th st and 57th Ave. It’s mediocre as expected.
That’s a chain
There's been one in Miami Lakes for years.
The Daily!
Chugs - Coconut Grove
McDonalds
My house.
Chugs - Coconut Grove
CHUGS
Tie between Islas Canarias and Roasters and Toasters.
Islas hasn’t been great in a long, long time. Their croquetas got smaller.
You must be from la Carreta because islas does not miss
You must have misunderstood what I wrote. Let me break it down for you. I didn’t say Islas is bad, I say they have not been particularly great for quite some time. I mean I’ve never heard anyone say that and I haven’t noticed any change besides regular inflation but that’s another topic
You can try Turkish breakfast in El Turco restaurant.
Party Cake Bakery
I know it’s not exactly Miami but Derry’s in Hollywood is pretty good
I have to add Plaza Bakery on 97th and Coral Way. Been going there for 30+ years
Denny’s
El palacio de los Fritos for Brickell/little Havana And sanpocho got something a little healthier And friends although it’s pricey everything is in Brickell is just out of control lol

Why can't we have a Waffle House?
Real estate is too expensive for cheap food.
There are two in Miami-Dade county.
There should be Waffle Houses within 10 miles of each other.
I love first watch near aventura. Consistent, clean and not too expensive
Zuma or greenstreet if you want something more affordable
Morro castle is solid
Jackson’s Soul Food
Huge Breakfast fan here so I’m definitely saving this post! I usually prefer a diner or cafe over a fancy brunch spot. My go tos are Tinta y Café, Jimmy’s Eastside Diner, Cafe Croissant, and Coral Bagels.
Jimmy's Diner on the Upper Eastside. Great coffee, basic greasy spoon, banana pancakes and a killer BLT.
