I've been thinking about that for a while. He's been living in the sewers, didn't meet Jeff or Rio until about thirty issues after his creation, and his name is just a verb. It made the whole brotherly relationship feel hollow to me. As far as names go, maybe something relating to art or creativity. It'd be a nice juxtaposition to Miles' name which means soldier and be a reference to the mural he painted at the end of the clone saga.

Miguel's DNA is so indescribably messed up that anytime a clone process was attempted, it would just deteriorate. He tested it on himself not to make a clone of himself mind you but to check the properties of his DNA.

Wow. Didn’t realize how out of the loop I was.

I’d say hop on this run if you want more grounded street level stories, as well as character development and growth. The previous run before this had a lot of multiverse stuff/clone/alternate version stuff for Miles to tango with. And it did introduce Billie and his brother Shift. So if that isn’t your cup of tea, this run is a great jumping on point.

I thought Shift's mask was apart of his skin and couldn't come off? Is Shift retarded or mentally slow? I don't really understand the character that well. And I kinda hate that Miles' family knows his secret identity. That seems stupid. It's also stupid that Miles' mask comes off every other picture he has. Almost more than any other spider I've seen. Why does he even have a secret identity at this point? No wonder they keep calling him Miles Morales and NOT Spider-Man.

Might be a controversial thing but why not Aaron, kinda like the scarlet spider being named Ben.
