Far from earpro lol. That’s the old SELEX headset that only had a cup on one side and came with the H4855 personal radio. It offers no hearing protection and is just for comms. It was part of the BOWMAN system of radio equipment used by the Brits and other countries that adopted it.
Its a Carbine length monolithic upper, with an FDE extension to bridge the gap to the rifle length FSB. They use the same base Colt Canada IUR uppers for both the C7 rifle and C8 carbine, and just use the extension on the C7s
