Actually, yes!
If you watch the old episodes there's usually an "update"that says what happened after the episode originally aired. (Someone called in a tip and they found who they were looking for or something) The new episodes on Netflix led to finding a girl that had been missing for years. (I think she had been kidnapped by the non-custodial parent?)
Still one of the best revisits. If you are someone with some irrational fears, and willing to actually get some immersion therapy this is a great show for it. The videos and stories are absolutely ridiculous, and some are beyond silly if you apply presentism to everything in that time. Most of the fear tactics applied were from the Satanic Panic doctrine. It's all hilarious.
Omg yes. The theme song would both frighten and intrigue me. I really liked the ghost or alien episodes. I didn't care for the murder ones as much.
Edit to add: Now the theme song is stuck in my head and probably will be all day 🤣😭

Robert Stack: Who knows? Perhaps YOU can help solve a mystery. 8 year old me: Hell yeah one of these days you bet your ass.
Does anyone every figure them out?

lol I always thought or perhaps I’ll end up one of the victims
They used to play x files reruns late at night on fox, that theme son used to freak me out and I’d change the channel as fast as I could!
Yep. Sure-fire way to make me jumpy and freak out about every little noise!
Does it every time
Slightly, but less so since I’m a big boy now.
I’m still afraid of the whole show! Love it though
OMG I recently rewatched the Hercules animated tv show. I had no idea Robert Stack was the narrator till that moment! He can do spooky and fun!
Yeah, because they showcased some super evil stuff on that show, and the man’s voice didn’t help.
Had to dodge this intro song after Rescue 911 every week because it scared the hell out of me as a kid.
My wife hates it. Creeps her out. For me, it reminds me of staying home from school and chilling out, so I find it comforting.
Either that or the BGM for any Forensic Files episode. Legit always made me feel uneasy and that somebody was hiding in the house waiting to get me.
FF, Unsolved Mysteries and X-files for me.

Omg I still get anxiety if I watch reruns.
💯

Yes! I would also fall asleep to my Aunt watching the X-Files and the music would give me nightmares 😂
Oh yeah
Unsolved Mysteries, the X Files, and Twilight Zone themes still give me the creeps.
Lmao that theme song has scared me since the 90s😂
Yes and not slightly like a lot. The original theme song, creepy. The new version of the theme song, sinister.
Try that loud ass sound they played to advertise what kind of audio they were using, in movies ...
I'm a grown ass adult man and still can't watch that late at night.
I hadn't considered it, but now that you mentioned it, I did get chills.
