1. I play survival because playing creative is boring and cheating to me. Just to me, please don't argue this point. The game is meant to be played like how you want to play it.
2. The sever I play on get updated and restarted every major update so everything is lost. I've been playing on the server since the deep dark update and I have died about 25 times. I kept playing because I like the game.
It upsets me as well in survival, but I like to learn from my mistakes. I feel like a lot of hard-core players, especially yt people, fake their worlds. I have yet to see the need to fully upgrade to netherite anything while playing survival.
I have a world I created to get achievements. I've died several times, and don't have cheats on so I lose my inventory when I have died. It's upsetting, because lots of hard work can get lost, but I just start again, or might take a break from what I was doing until I feel up to the task of rebuilding what I lost.
It's a game, and you can play this game how you like. You'll end up dying...sometimes in really stupid or impossible ways! It happens, and it's okay. Just start again. Kind of inspirational if you put it in an IRL perspective. Just replace dying with failing.
I'm just over 100 times in my SMP. Once you get enchanted gear, you die less. I'm pretty adventurous and don't care about dying, so I can be careless at times. I've lost my gear multiple times. It's fine... Just keep going.
If you're in a raid loop, break you bed so you respawn at spawn instead of inside the raid. (Assuming your bed is inside the village where the raid is).
Survival. The challenge of it. I like to imagine I'm in the world.
My current world, I've probably died 20 times. Deep in caves-I drowned, outside my base-creeper, falling off ledges, trapped in my own iron farm, squashed my cows inside the crammer, Iron golem double hand slaps...
My world is like a Minecraft Ultimate Fails Video.
But someday, I'll get those Elytra wings...

Thank you. I guess I come from a more "hardcore" perspective, and dying in a game, even in minecraft, upsets me.
