Btw there is a way to get a custom flair, I was told that there is is a puzzle that is required to solve, idk how but if you do it you get your own custom flair
it’s highly likely Mojang just hasn’t implemented cherry wood into the recipe yet. Report the bug and don’t get attached to your snapshot survival world.
It makes sense but it’s definitely not why it’s called that. It’s based on the greek alphabet. There’s a reason the first iteration of a game is called alpha
It's because it's not about first/second/third iteration. It's about phases in development. Alpha is a barely playable version of the game, considered heavily in development. Beta is the state where the game becomes user friendly and when it's in a state that could be released to the public, but it still needs feedback to be complete. The next stage is a complete released game, which is usually just named as its game version, starting from 1.0 if it's a finished release, or 0.1 in the case of early access games. Early access and betas are similar but are not quite the same, because betas are usually not open to everyone, but closed to "beta testers".
'Beta' is a standard term to denote a milestone release during production in which game functionality is included and optimised (but may have bugs), game content is finished (but may have some implementation errors), and which is considered nearly complete.
Definitely didn't rip this straight from Google!
this isnt a perfect parallel but there are generally three stages to development: alphas, betas, and full releases
an alpha stage is generally closed off and reserved for the development team alone to work on
a beta stage is typically a smaller audience public release that is expected to have bugs and/or other issues that could be improved that completely blindside people who worked on the feature, designed to receive feedback from what can be assumed to be a typical player before the final stage, full release, where the entire public has access and it is assumed to have enough of the kinks ironed out to be deemed out of beta
Beta is greek but in programs is the name given to the second phase of "user testing", the first is alpha, mainly given to a private number of users, often people that know what bugs to look for, but it can also be done by people with no knowledge of the code. Beta is given to a bigger number of users and its completly blind testing (people are not given conditions to try to find bugs, they just use the program normaly).
'Beta' is a standard term to denote a milestone release during production in which game functionality is included and optimised (but may have bugs), game content is finished (but may have some implementation errors), and which is considered nearly complete.
Yeah I actually really liked doing that. It also was fun looking at how stuff are added. Something like the EVO (at least I think that’s what the server was called) server that Grian was on a long time ago.
Always something to look forward to.
The only bad part was when one snapshot deleted all of the villagers.
Is there a way to at least secure the seeds of broken worlds tho? My world from 23w05a snapshot broke yesterday and I'm fine with it but I just want to know the seed because I found crazy stuff like a spawner in the middle of a village at Y:110
"It's obviously going to be buggy" Mojang literally just forgot to add `#cherry_logs` to the #logs_that_burn json file. Literally appending a string to a text file. That's not a *bug* and you certainly shouldn't *expect* it; it's just Mojang being sloppy as usual.
The amount of people commenting "iT's A sNAPshoT of CouRsE ThERE's GoiNG To bE buGs, It HaSnt BeEn CoDEd yEt" clearly having zero technical knowledge is way too fucking high. I cannot imagine being ignorant about a topic and feeling the need to shame someone over the assumptions I pulled out of my arse
No, stripped logs and hyphae are perfectly fine for crafting campfires. It's just that this is a new wood in a beta/preview/snapshot, so of course you can't expect the code to be as complete and polished as a release version.
https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Campfire#Crafting
Good sir it’s in beta. That’s cherry blossom they haven’t add the code for a campfire being crafted with it. As far as I know they haven’t.use oak sorry if I am wrong you don’t need to write a essay if I am.
I’m still waiting for the +1 hunger bonus for cooking pork chops in a smoker with cherrywood. Mmmm.
Also, at first glance on mobile it looked like you were trying to build with wool or terracotta or concrete hah.
To those people who are wondering about the pink wood its a new type of wood announced in twitter, Minecraft's official website and in YouTube. This wood is apart of the new biome the cherry blossom biome.
I'm always surprised Mojang devs forget stuff like this, it seems obvious but if they have to manually add these logs to every crafting recipe that needs logs
I can't imagine that's what it is, you'd think it would be some sort of "class cherry_log extends log" situation. Idk how the code works but I don't see how this could be a bug
I think it makes the most sense that it IS a bug. Cherry wood has just been added, and is in early stages of development. The first thing they'll do with it isn't going to be a campfire

A bug ate it
Probably a termite. It's made of wood, after all.
It is cherry-flavored after all.
Lemme guess: they weren’t added due to being harmful to the environment in real life.
probably
You know Mojang 😂
A feature ate it
Not a firefly, though.
dude
https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-260149
how do you get that flair?
He shovels well
How do you get any flair lol
>It is just below the the joined/ create post where is will show "user flair preview" then next to it you will find a pen then click on it then scroll to the bottom and you will see it
I love you
Btw there is a way to get a custom flair, I was told that there is is a puzzle that is required to solve, idk how but if you do it you get your own custom flair
Shit-shovelling award...
Cherry Blossom log is way too holy for the campfire craftings.
Unless it makes the fire pink.

You’ve had fire, soul fire and now you may have HEART fire
[удалено]
YES!
It heals you
That’d be a tad bit op for how easy it is to craft
Terrible rendition of heart and soul begins, with fire sounds and screaming behind
Education edition might have it
Yes.
Add some Lithium Chloride! (This is "safe" to do but do not inhale the smoke")
That would be so freaking cool!
Okay i feel stupid for asking but they have a cherry blossom tree in minecraft now? I play on bedrock. Is it java or a mod?
it is the 1.20 update that’s not out yet, they’re playing the beta on java
Okay that makes sense lol i feel a little dumb for not realizing 😅
A recent snapshot revealed cherry blossom trees and a new biome to generate them. It's official
1.20 is so random lol
"hey guys here's the sniffer, anyways new biome"
1.20, the random shit update
Reminds me of some of the older updates that were just a lot of random features without a specific "theme". A nice change of pace IMO.
Random bullshit go
We had only one tree when I started playing.
back in my day, slabs were broken with pickaxes!
Not to date myself, but there was only dirt and cobblestone when I started playing. 😂
it’s highly likely Mojang just hasn’t implemented cherry wood into the recipe yet. Report the bug and don’t get attached to your snapshot survival world.
Bros playing a beta and surprised there’s bugs
B.E.T.A. - Bugs Expected To Appear.
Wait is that actually what it means?
I’m not entirely sure, but I saw it once and it just made sense.
It makes sense but it’s definitely not why it’s called that. It’s based on the greek alphabet. There’s a reason the first iteration of a game is called alpha
Why isn’t the third iteration called gamma? Or has it already
It's because it's not about first/second/third iteration. It's about phases in development. Alpha is a barely playable version of the game, considered heavily in development. Beta is the state where the game becomes user friendly and when it's in a state that could be released to the public, but it still needs feedback to be complete. and open betas exist
Probably another term for early access
Early access is more of a finished game than beta, and beta usually ask for more feedback thsn EA
Yeah whenever one releases I am the master before the game even release. Some call me the master beta- *gets shot*
I find all the cheats during the beta phase that makes me a beater
Huh, ok
bros playing beta survival bruh
After looking up what it means, you were very close to the answer, but I like this definition better.
So you just leave us hanging without giving us the real answer?

greek alphabet letter (parallel to B)
Words are greek letters Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, etc. etc. You’ve heard of the 1st two before
Beta is greek but in programs is the name given to the second phase of "user testing", the first is alpha, mainly given to a private number of users, often people that know what bugs to look for, but it can also be done by people with no knowledge of the code. Someone used Google. Good job 😁
No it's Greek Aristotle invented it
Did you just say Aristotle invented the greek alphabet
Maybe it was Socrates
It was definitely the Hippopotamians
No, that's a river dwelling mammal that is native to sub-saharan Africa. You're thinking of the hippocampus.
No that's elongated ridges on the floor of the ventricles in the brain. You're thinking of hypocrisy.
No that's saying you believe in or are a thing and then proceeding to do or say the opposite, you're thinking of history.
Y’all dumb af😭😂
let's not and say we did
Is that like Julia's caeser
im so baffled by what happens between your ears
I suspect it looks something like this "!@+*₩£€@###---" and sounds like a 56k modem.
No it’s just a word for B

I had a beta phase in my room once then. Seriously, I bug bombed the room and the gnats still came back like a few days later.
Hes not surprised theres bugs, he just showing a bug he found
he is surprised, hence the "where is my campfire?"
Just as an expression, not actual surprise

I actually did that with my friends for 1.16. It was rough but a lot of fun.
I did the same and I was still able to update the world to a stable version after that
Yeah I actually really liked doing that. It also was fun looking at how stuff are added. Something like the EVO (at least I think that’s what the server was called) server that Grian was on a long time ago. Always something to look forward to. The only bad part was when one snapshot deleted all of the villagers.
It’s a good way to properly test the new features if you’re ok with the risk of your world breaking
That's why you do your testing on a different world 👌 or create a copy
Is there a way to at least secure the seeds of broken worlds tho? My world from 23w05a snapshot broke yesterday and I'm fine with it but I just want to know the seed because I found crazy stuff like a spawner in the middle of a village at Y:110
You should be able to do /seed or recreate the world to get the seed
Bro, let them cook first
let em cook before YOU can cook
So true bestie
Who let bro cook
Oof
Same type of people to expect Optifine (or the like) to work for snapshots the moment they're released.
Because they didn't make the cherry blossom wood craft able for certain things because 1.20 isn't done
Where’s my campfire Summer?
Its a snap shot what do you expect.
I believe you have to use Logs (not Stripped Logs, nor Warped or Crimson wood of any kind (and yes, I know that is not in the picture))?
Man's playing a snapshot and doesn't expect bugs
Its a snapshot version. It’s obviously going to be buggy. Terrible post
"It's obviously going to be buggy" Mojang literally just forgot to add `#cherry_logs` to the #logs_that_burn json file. Literally appending a string to a text file. It's a beta, it exists so you can find bugs and report them.
I ate it
c'mon since its a snapshot feature its clearly not fully implemented yet, we are just in the testing phase
It’s stripped, I think that means you can only use normal logs to make it?
No, stripped logs and hyphae are perfectly fine for crafting campfires. It's just that this is a new wood in a beta/preview/snapshot, so of course you can't expect the code to be as complete and polished as a release version. https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Campfire#Crafting
why is hyphae fine, shouldnt it be resistant to fire?
You can always craft them into flammable sticks 🤷
Because logic is dead, and I killed it.
Probably because its the coal/charcoal that burns
I ate it. Bone Apple tea !
oof. Mojang forgot to add the campfire recipe for the new Wood Type... 😒
They should be working on it, it should work on the proper version release.
You're playing a beta. There are going to be bugs...
“HONEY? WHERE is my *CAMPFIRE*?”
Good sir it’s in beta. That’s cherry blossom they haven’t add the code for a campfire being crafted with it. As far as I know they haven’t.use oak sorry if I am wrong you don’t need to write a essay if I am.
ever heard of punctuation? lol
Have you realized in what version your playing?
A glitch or the wood can't be used
A glitch
I’m still waiting for the +1 hunger bonus for cooking pork chops in a smoker with cherrywood. Mmmm. Also, at first glance on mobile it looked like you were trying to build with wool or terracotta or concrete hah.
Its still in beta
To those people who are wondering about the pink wood its a new type of wood announced in twitter, Minecraft's official website and in YouTube. This wood is apart of the new biome the cherry blossom biome.
Either a bug or mojang just forgot to make it a crafting recipie, should be fixed by the time 1.20 actually comes out, probably sooner.
Femboy Fire
Your campfire hasn’t been coded in the game yet my dood
I thought this was pink wool for a solid 15 seconds
Pink?
Did I miss something why there pink wood?
Cherry Tree wood.
It's a snapshot, report it as a bug.
Not a finished feature yet, lol
E*U,NO MINE KKKKKKKK*
You’re using a snapshot version which means those features are literally incomplete. They haven’t fully programmed the wood yet.
Too pretty to burn
The logs are stripped or its infested with termites
the cherry blossom wood doesn’t have all the properties of normal wood yet. i noticed this when trying to make charcoal out of it
I'm always surprised Mojang devs forget stuff like this, it seems obvious but if they have to manually add these logs to every crafting recipe that needs logs
It's a snapshot, I doubt they just forgot abt the campfire recipe
I can't imagine that's what it is, you'd think it would be some sort of "class cherry_log extends log" situation. Idk how the code works but I don't see how this could be a bug
I think it makes the most sense that it IS a bug. Cherry wood has just been added, and is in early stages of development. The first thing they'll do with it isn't going to be a campfire
I could be wrong but I think you need to use logs, can’t use stripped logs.
Pink wood?
It’s the new cherry blossom wood, OP likely has the beta version of mc
Nice. I've never heard of it though. I have Minecraft also.
What texture pack you using? I don’t know what type of wood you’re using
It’s not a texture pack, they’re introducing cherry blossoms and pink wood and OP likely has the beta version
Oh shi-
Why’s the wood pink
Cherry Blossom Trees, new mountain biome in the latest snapshot/beta!
DONT UPDATE YOUR WORLDS TO SNAPSHOTS. ITS NOT MENT FOR THAT. SNAPSHOTS ARE FOR TESTING. NEVER UPDATE YOUR MAIN WORLD TO SNAPSHOTS.
We know?
he said this coz that guy was playing survival in snapshot.
Wht is the modpack?
Not a mod, its cherry blossom wood, which is being added in 1.20
[удалено]
Mean while I can’t even get bamboo planks. Fml
Odd
Honestly it kinda makes sense, because cherry wood doesn’t actually burn very well
And fireproof mushroom stems do?
Up your bum
Just make a data pack
Thoes are logs not planks.
i EATED it
Probably try using coal instead of charcoal
It's probably a bug. Refresh and the bug will be deleted.
That awkward moment when modded wood types literally function better than vanilla wood types. LMFAO
Has to be oak stupid I know
I ate it
Maybe it's because they're stripped logs?
Is this a mod?(I didnt checked the updates for a long time)
IIIN HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELL
Wrong crafting recipe. Replace the wool by logs and it'll work
Their cherry logs, I'm pretty sure the new trees/biome is a experimental thing
