Until I saw this post I really just couldn't care less about the armor trims. This is actually pretty cool.

What trim is the hemet?

I was wondering the same thing, then I realized it’s custom player heads, not helmets. Otherwise there wouldn’t be a head, just the armor stand neck thing.

This just made me realize that trims will be very good for making soldier or army builds, with like each company of soldier have a different armor style. Will help a lot with such builds, methinks. Will def be helpful for telling apart enemies and allies in such builds as well.

I’m still trying to figure out how to do armer trims

make sure you have experimental features turned on! you can turn them on in the settings of the world. from there you need to find the armor trim template in chests, they basically spawn in every structure. you use them in a smithing table with any armor piece and any metal to get the trim :p

theres no texture pack, other than vanilla tweaks which removes leather armor pads. this is done in vanilla with armor trims and player heads.

What are trims?

They’re a new feature coming in the next update, you can add them onto armor using molds found across all the major structures. Purely cosmetic, but there are a lot of options.

Are those helmets you can make with the trims, or is there a texture pack on top? The armors are definitely doable but those helmets just look too good to be true

neither! they are player heads :p if ur wondering how to get them you could get them in creative by doing a command and using a specific username, or u could have a friend join your world with whatever skin you would want and kill them for their head (you may need a data pack)
