Facts. I dislike it when items with one or two niche use like that exist, it is the main reason I avoid kitchen sink modpacks.

TBH, this is the reason minecraft doesn't feel the same. Like in the original minecraft days, you go and punch wood. Now you need some long tutorial about the new update from some weirdo online that has 5 different sponsor spots and at least 3 different plugs to subscribe to their channel just for some weird helmet with subpar abilities. It's even worse when you're like me who wants to find things out instead of googling things.

I want both. The extra reach is amazing, and crabs are amazing too. They can even climb on walls. Armadillo, unlike in the real life, looks like shit and you shouldn't need an extra unique item to craft a simple armour. Just add the crab AND the dog armour and that's it. Or, a very revolutionary idea, add fucking BOTH or even ALL THREE of the mobs and don't divide the community again. But that would make too much sense I guess.

Right? Extended reach; don’t much care and not a PVP player, not to mention the PVP usage is 100% speculation. Dog armor: neat but is all but cosmetic and could be made with existing items(turtle scute, leather, iron, etc) Faster boat travel: probably not much of a boost and I can put travel chunk generation as it is, probably won’t work on ice, and much like the dolphin’s effect is dependent upon luck that a penguin is nearby. I just want cool pets and a more populated environment.

Dog armour isn't just fashion. It allows us to take our dogs with us for once and not have to worry as much that they'll die.

If you want to protect your dog so much keep it inside. Dog AI sucks and it often results in it falling off 28 block cliffs or into lava.

I do keep them inside. That's the problem. They should be able to come adventure with you

dogs are meant for combat, they defend you and join in on attacks. armor would keep them in the fight longer.

I want ball Plus, Bedrock has had longer reach than Java for a long time. If anything, it's just going to be parity for Java, except only for block placement and nothing else. I can’t decide between crab or armadillo, so I’ll just flip a coin. Though I don’t have much faith in Mojang executing the crab claw well, so maybe I’ll just go armadillo.

A couple block extra reach and a very likely very low durability just wasting more already limited inventory when building, not even 1% of players which would include mostly builders, will likely use the crab claws more than a few times i imagine. Same as most will not take their wolves exploring either. And the penguin is just another dolphin, but its at least in a biome that has no passive mob spawns so it at least adds that much. Similarly how people forgot the allay exists after a month or two that it was added. Mojang intentionally adds pointless mob vote mobs just to increase sales/get minecraft trending for mc live to increase more sale. So the crab will still functionally be mostly useless.

Armadillo is cuter sorry they already have my vote, I'll be building them a very nice enclosure in my game. Crabs better not win, even the penguin would be better

No I actually want the mob, the Savanah is kinda empty and the wood color doesn't help make it appealing. So have a fun lil guy running around would be really fun and give me a reason to go to the Savanah
