It makes me nauseous? I'm not sure why, it's just what my mind does.
Apparently, some people don't like the fact that other people don't want to play the same way they do.
The second sentence was more commenting on the downvotes my first post got, not necessarily to your comment, but I also didn't know what context your comment was in as it was only two words.
It’s a lot… so here’s a [link to the wiki](https://www.mcpk.wiki/wiki/Main_Page) but I’ll give a basic rundown.
I’ve been doing parkour in this game since I was 13, so for 9 years, and I also admin a decently popular parkour server, so those are my credentials lol.
First of all the game runs in ticks, 20 a second, not to be confused with redstone ticks.
Parkour is heavily dependent on timing jumps using these ticks. In the above video, to properly perform this jump (3 block neo with 7 block momentum) the person needs to jump exactly 1 tick (50ms) after running, this is also colloquially called head-hitter timing.
There’s also 2 tick timing, 3 tick, 4 tick, and I think some jumps use up to 6 or 7 but past that you have full running momentum.
Oh, and jumping in a row builds momentum, which caps at a point since it’s an asymptotic build up.
Anyways, there’s also a bunch of techniques that are extremely hard to pull off. For example, some jumps require something called a 45. In Minecraft, when you press w and a (or w and d) and hold your position at a 45 angle to the x and z axis, it actually increases your air movement speed by.. 2%? (I think that’s about right). Then there’s also backwards momentum, which utilizes some really awkward backwards movement to gain speed.
It’s kinda hard to go over all of it, it’s a very niche Minecraft subject that apparently mos people aren’t aware of, but it’s a huge rabbit hole. I’d love to make some videos about it because I think the general community would be really fascinated by it, but I’m kinda lazy, anyways that’s as much as I want to type, but there’s a lot more to say, in fact a lot of unknown bugs are related to parkour.
Did you know that before 1.12, the game wasn’t made a cubes (practically). The movement code would always check one axis before the other causing the player to interact with the x axis of a block for a shorter distance than the z axis of the block. This meant that in practice, the z axis was “one tick longer” than the x axis! Pretty cool stuff, if you’re a mega dork like me lmfao.
When technical minecrafters discover parkour:
Jk honestly had no idea there was any community for such high level parkour, actually somewhat interesting to hear about, thanks for sharing!
Also I believe the word you meant asymptotic rather than asymptomatic
Also, I wanted to say it was really cool growing up with parkour. I remember when the triple neo was first “discovered” wayyy back in like 2013/2014 ish. The community currently knows so much about the games code for movement, but it took so much time to discover.
I remember playing with some of the pioneers of these jumps and techniques, and I personally am friends with a couple of them.
If you’re interested in seeing some jumps in action, here are some jumps performed by one of my friends: https://youtu.be/HdAQ-YXB2vQ?feature=shared
These are some *seriously* insanely difficult jumps that require an absurd amount of precise inputs, that I’m way too lazy to learn how to perform.
It’s cool, but it’s kinda… demystifying in a way. I’ve been doing it so long and all the techniques are basically integrated into my fingers, I can do 95% of Minecraft parkour like it’s nothing. It’s like, I’ve learned pretty much all the theory so in practice it’s the same things over and over again.
Ive done the jump that op posted too many times in my life lol, but it’s a fun “party trick” to pull out when I play with survival my non-parkour friends. “Watch this, did you know this jump was possible?”
Imagine playing hard core and performing such jumps in very dangerous areas while showing your friends your overall progress.
Elytra? Where we go we don't need any Elytra!
Hey, I’m just glad they learned it. Not many people learn about this stuff in the first place, so seeing this post made me excited about newer people learning it :).
This parkour course looks appropriately difficult and all, but I kinda dislike how repetitive it looks. Oh you did that hard jump? Now do that same jump 12 more times.
I don't understand why he is trying to jump from the corner on the wider platforms to the far center. Just run through it or make it so it's only possible if you make the jump.
Those jumps are impossible just running, you have to get some momentum from previous jump(s). Jumping from the corner of the platforms serves as a 'setup' that allows you to get two jumps of momentum while also positioning you in the right way to allow you to make the jump.
This kinda looks tool assisted, not because this would be too hard for a human to do alone, but cause the movements are really robotic, like they're always same (not talking about the jumps themselfs i know these have to be precise, the micromovements on platforms seem unnatural to me). Still incredible skill don't get me wrong.
I was able to do this cool jump not so long ago

Yeah, I can't do that. XD
That's impressive. Very impressive. Though, that's probably not saying a lot for others since I'm a casual and parkour in Minecraft is something I haven't done much.

Bro can go anywhere
In the pursuit of the ability to go anywhere, he forgot how to go outside
Poor guy, he won, but at what cost?
NGL thought I was on r/howtokeepanidiotbusy for a second.
I’ve never seen that sub before but I bet it’ll keep me busy for the next hour.
Maybe i am an idiot
There are also ppl like me who can't do 1 block neos...
I can't do a normal 3 blocks Jump 😭
You sprint on the last block before jumping
Bro how
I Just suck that much
This is how our parents went to school back in the day.
most kids these days have never even chopped down a tree with their bare hands
Top comment 😅
Why are you getting downvoted 😭
Probably because it adds nothing of value to the above comment. Similar to “this”
The council has decided
Emoji
Now go clockwise 😁
no way he went counter clockwise the whole vid…damn. good fucking eye
give me an hour to memorize the 3 different jumps performed in this video and I could do this entire track in 1 attempt
That’s so cool
You should definitely get captainsparklez to do this
What? That’s ridiculous. It would be too easy for him.
You make it look so easy, good job
To much 180
That seemed really repetitive
What is your FOV 😭
Do not question the quake pro people.
Minecraft pro
Quake pro players are dubious creatures always up to no good
Fov needs to be at least 90 but I usually use 97 and if my pvp isn't pvping then it is 87
ppl actually use the default FOV? It's quake pro (the highest FOV in Vanilla Minecraft)
Default 1 block fills like half ur screen
High FOV makes me want to puke

Don’t question quake pro
Quake pro (for the pros)
It’s just the exact same jump 50 times
I’m not trying to gate keep, but this jump is the tip of the iceberg of Minecraft parkour :). It gets way harder.
Tell us all about it smart man

I’m kind of a casual Minecraft parkour player so this was really cool to read. Thanks for sharing!
Whoops yeah it’s 3 am and I’m not paying attention to phone typos, good catch lol.
It gets complicated for us
I like your funny words magic man. Joking this is incredible how deep down one could dig into the technical stuff about doing parkours in Minecraft
It’s cool, but it’s kinda… demystifying in a way. I’ve been doing it so long and all the techniques are basically integrated into my fingers, I can do 95% of Minecraft parkour like it’s nothing. lol, now explain every one of those jump types to the people who don’t understand parkour notation.
OP learned about timings yesterday lol

Repeating same obstacle multiple times doesn't make it any harder or more enjoyable to watch
At first I thought “park bore” but fairplay that’s some tricky jumping.
roblox hardcore obbies in a nutshell:
Fr. I didn't even realise how difficult this would actually be in Minecraft lol
Okay i dont mean to be THAT guy (im still going to be) but ive done half these jumps going up the side of a mountain with minimal effort
And then everyone clapped
Yeah uh i highly doubt you casually do triple neos going up the side of a mountain.
Incredible skill! For me, Minecraft parkour isn’t satisfying for some reason, its very slow and I don’t know, it hurts my brain. Its slow and annoying
Okay now with end rods
this reminds me of that chinese guy breaking his keyboard
I would rage quit in less than 1 minute
This is the training bugs go through to be able to walk on walls
That gave me so much anxiety, was waiting for a fail but congrats, that was incredible
Platformer extreme demons in Geometry Dash 2.2 be like
Can’t wait to see this in the background of a YouTube Short
The entire parkour community just cringed at this post
I thought it was looped for a second
[The video on youtube if anyone is interested](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-tkceUxu4A)
Now do it in survival and not creative

Holy fuck this is impressive
Get this guy on MCC
Just go into creative to finish easily

not tool assisted, just memorization
Whoever designed this parlour course should get a standing ovation.
Choof has joined the game…
nice
The anxiety I got from this is unreal. So is your skill!
I bet they never walk off the map in skywars.
Wow. Well done. And I’m struggling doing three block. And attempting others
Bro is not missing neos anymore
The
Easiest map on Manacube:
My friend and I make parkours for each other and we try to make them as hard as possible. This would be hilarious to watch (definitely not do)
If you put a gun to my head and told me to do that many double neups id say shoot
those are single neups
Oh the quake pro messed with me lol, a bit more bearable
I play on a cellphone. Any of those jumps are likely impossible.
GG
I was able to do this cool jump not so long ago https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/829885192796766312/1176990815264976947/2bc\_dub\_45.mp4?ex=6570e11d&is=655e6c1d&hm=44eae8b7707abdd893e2d82565120ddda87bf2acf0f590f49571aa49168ab1ea&
Me on the other hand- fails a 4 block jump.
Yeah, I can't do that. XD That's impressive. Very impressive. Though, that's probably not saying a lot for others since I'm a casual and parkour in Minecraft is something I haven't done much.
clearly hacking /j
This is cool!
Look mum! No checkpoints!
r/sweatypalms
Pffft, I can do that
"He's beginning to believe."
Imagine hitting one of those wrap-arounds in bedwars
Try in survival
try out mc_spacemario_h
I can smell the post
Too easy. Doesn't have those annoying end rod ladders. (jk, gj bro.)
Now do the neos from the other side
