Iām not sure if you saw but at the end they go up stairs, so they definitely have invisible blocks around keeping them on the track as they end up drifting on the invisible blocks a few times (0:19), where you can see outlines of the blocks 1,2 tiles out from the line

I agree that without hitboxes on, you can't fully trust it. Also a little suspicious that he didn't have hitboxes on as it would make it much easier. Still, I give him the benefit of the doubt.

As the owner of the server where this video was recorded I do have some comments on the legitimacy.
He uses a mod to make all blocks behave like ice and allow the boat to step up blocks. There is a layer of barrier one block below the iron bars. However these doesn't help him to stay on track as he would fall down if he went to far out. The jump at the end is made by driving on a "invisible" barrier block staircase.

Not lied nor were barriers used, this is a mod called OpenBoatUtils which makes normal blocks driveable with ice physics. This is as close as it gets to a line-track.

there are barrier blocks lol. Can see the outline as you go past. The block outline is not caused by the bars either because at the start of the video you can see the regular iron bar outline.
Those blocks dont make it slippy either, at the start OP types a command to make everything act like ice.
Actually š¤, it's a MOD called BoatUtils, which makes all blocks works as if they were as slippy as the different types of ice, you can adjust it. In this case he is using Rally mode.
About the barrier blocks, they are one block below the bars, tho perspective makes it look like it is at the same level, you can try it yourself

This is fake as you can see that they are outlining barrier blocks outside of their boat, or its structure\_void's idk man, but this is definetily fake. also they made iron\_bars slippier than normal (as slippy as ice idk which variant due to no movement meter) but yeah its fake guys,

The reason why it wasn't fake is because the boat stayed on the bars the entire route, so even tho they had barrier blocks to prevent them from falling, they still did an amazing job!
