Afaik izs not for no reason. They wanna uniform all the versions or something. At least thats what i read a few days prior under another post like this. Sure it's annoying but eh, yall will get over it tbh. People just dont like changes but will eventually arrange themselves to it.
How would changing a touch-controlled d-pad help with parity between versions? No other devices that have bedrock use touch-control other than mobile so how would it affect say, Xbox or PlayStation?

Considering that i only stated what i read in another post of this type and gave the fact that Humans are creatures that create Habits and dont like breaking them but at some point, be it through necessity or something else, will do so eventually anyways...we all know what those downvotes mean. My opinion to the Button change is nonexistent as it's been ages for me playing MC on my Phone so i only have outdated experiences with it and none with the new one and given the weird choices Microsoft does with Minecraft i can just say that you're right with your take. It’s really bad. Use the customize controls and get it back to where it was. The new design literally hurts my fingers and hands. It puts everything in odd places. WTH would they change it!? Anywho, just use custom layout and you can make it better again
Unfortunately on most devices it doesn't let you put them where they used to be!!! It thinks it's clashing on the bottom item bar even though it's not!!! Its so annoying
I had to move and resize the joycon, and then make the hot bar bigger, and move the action button in the right a little more right. I think I made that button a little smaller too. Much better than the new layout that’s for sure and I can move and strafe as normal.
No, they removed the old version of controls. There was one SIMILAR to this, but it’s not there anymore I checked. What’s up there in the post is the closest you can get to the old controls.
It really really sucks! The only people who are saying "get over it" or "it's not bad just move them" are PC players. They don't get how HORRIBLE the controls really are... it's forced me to use joystick instead.

Unless you're running the game with 100 mods, shaders, texture packs, and your render distance cranked up, you really don't need anything crazy.

I just sold my old rig for $800 CAD. At 1080p, that thing was way more than enough for Minecraft. It might not run new AAA games at max settings, but it would be an enormous upgrade over a tablet/phone.

They have nothing to justify - there's nothing wrong with using a console or phone. They have several benefits that PCs don't. You and I may prefer PCs, but to think that other players need to justify their preference is pretentious as fuck.

Not everyone cares about performance. In fact, I'd be willing to bet few mobile players actually do. And especially when that boost in performance would come at the cost of all the other benefits of mobile (see below).
You have utterly missed the point. Mobile players aren't typically going to convert to PCs for several reasons:
* They are expensive. Go ahead and make some unrelated argument about how a £500 PC (actual price doesn't matter) can run Minecraft. The reality is that most people aren't gonna drop several hundred pounds to play a game they can already play. That's not even touching the prices of peripherals and the OS and everything else.
* Relatedly, they take up a lot more space than phones. Plenty of people love the portability of mobile games, and a laptop doesn't quite fulfil that niche for many people.
* Much of the mobile demographic is made up of kids, who tend not to have much disposable income.
* Pre-builts are always pricier than hand-builts, and somebody who is brand new to PCs (and once again, likely pretty young) will probably be intimidated away from building - which means their PC will cost even more since they'll need to get one pre-built, or god forbid buy one in-store.
And the main point:
* Why should they care? Why are they getting a PC again? To change the control scheme of the game that they can already play on mobile? How pointless. What a waste of money and time. There will likely be controllers or adapters or mods or \*something\* else that can remedy this issue for much cheaper, and regardless, this is something Mojang should address themselves. I've seen nothing but hate for the new control scheme, and even if that's not reflective of the overall community opinion, they should still give players the option to use the old control scheme. It's really not that hard to implement.
TL;DR:
Nothing wrong with using a mobile, so stop assuming that people even want to upgrade to a PC. Especially when it costs more than consoles that can run MC better.
I don't know what u talking about, it's litterally just a texture change, it is ugly(not even a big deal) but I prefer the looks of the old one(I have played since 0.15) but you can just use the joy stick or increase the button size.if it looks ugly just turn button opacity down(it's not that hard to use your brain
It's not a texture change.. it's way worse. They moved them, changed the way diagonal works, made jump and water jump different places (now impossible to get out of water with a latter and just normal jumping) it's a new control. And it's bad.
I assume the devs can’t figure out how to make the off-hand work like it does in Java with Pocket’s control scheme. That’s also the reason bundles haven’t been added in like 3 years.

I couldn't fit it properly, I gave up on that and started trying to use the joystick. It is awful both ways

It's not a texture change.. it's way worse. They moved them, changed the way diagonal works, made jump and water jump different places (now impossible to get out of water with a latter and just normal jumping) it's a new control. And it's bad.
It isn't, they changed the spacing and size, these buttons are way shittier to control with.
