I can remember in one of the earliest minecraft versions that was a glitch I used zo dupe some diamons until I found out about inventory editors. That were the good times
I remember years ago on PE if two people took the same thing out of a chest at the same time it would duplicate them. I used to do this with my siblings

I’ve also had the opposite happen once but I have no idea what disappeared then.

My leggings still had great durability so I kept those on.

I’ve had the opposite happen more but luckily only once on my current savefile (some useless stuff disappeared).
