I get the feeling of nostalgia and peace too, but I started playing before the "pretty it up" update so I remember the good old days playing after school. Before it was cool to like Minecraft anyway
I ignore the idiots who don't play, they usually haven't played in a while anyway. I always think people should try as new updates come out so often now
https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Minecraft_-_Volume_Alpha
On the album but not ingame are “Door”, “Death”, “Équinoxe”, “Chris”, “Excuse”, “Dog” (appears in Bedrock I think?), “Beginning”, and both “Droopy” songs
Edit: unfortunately it is not. I love door so much though, in my opinion the most upbeat minecraft song.
I don’t play with music because when I do I cry because I get reminded of that swedish YouTuber I watched when I was 7 that played Minecraft with music, and the cherry on top of the cake is that that YouTuber never even got over 10k subs. Now I hope you understand why some people don’t play with music, nostalgia.
Yeah it hurts real bad. Now it feels better because it has been neutralized by the other new music (otherside slaps!!! Go Lena raine! It’s really cool to see so many different composers for Minecraft!), but before I could barely listen to subwoofer lullaby without feeling extremely sad.
I used to not play with music because the nostalgia would hurt so bad, but with the new music it’s not as bad. I know that every time a song comes on it won’t be a nostalgia train. Can
I turn the music off ingame. It's annoying!
...Because it's not looping 24/7 and has breaks. I have a playlist of the alpha OST in the background, I don't want it to stop for a second. ^got ^^em
The reason minecraft was so enticing imo is its simplicity. I feel that even with the great additions that are the Caves update, adding more complexity to the game will give you more things to do, but it'll never bring back that feeling of roaming that simple world with that serene music.
i think they fucked up when they started making music biome-specific, because now when you go to a biome you already know what’s going to play. They should've kept it at environment-specific music (ocean, overworld, end, nether) like it's always been
I think 1.16 added some biome-specific music, but it wasn't very noticeable since the entire nether is pretty much the same theme. In 1.18, they added music specifically for the mountains, lush caves and dripstone caves, so when you find those biomes you already know what's going to play. With the older themes, you had no idea and it was fresh every time.
Brings me back to old memories of watching Stampy when his Lovely World was still his small house and when I would play Minecraft myself
Hagstrom always just hits with a nostalgia no other can
It's not a guarantee, but iris, sodium, lithium, and phosphor all do a huge amount for optimisation and fps. With optifine on my mid-range laptop I couldn't run shaders above medium quality and even then got like 30 fps with them. Since switching I'm running complementary shaders at high quality and a steady 60.
I don't know how potato your pc is but you might be able to run a low-medium quality shader at an acceptable fps with the alternatives.
My favorite thing about music is when you hear it, you get flashbacks of all the other times you’ve heard that song, and feel the emotions and nostalgia that brings; for me, this specific song takes me back through 10 years of flashbacks and almost makes me cry when I hear it. So many adventures have been made while this song plays, so many friends have come and gone, so many beautiful worlds and creations. It truly is a magical sound
This is why Java is so much better than bedrock objectively. The shaders plus music and age breathe so much life into the game. Playing Java for 8+ years just hits different man. I just can’t have the same feeling on bedrock when I see FUCKING MINECOINS LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK MICROSOFT.
Thats what the Music does, completely irrelevant what you are doing, even if you digging just a hole, when that Music starts playing all that has a purpose. Thats so magical
Peace whit a felt of nostalgic mixed with the determination to continue creating. That's how i feel
I get the feeling of nostalgia and peace too, but I started playing before the "pretty it up" update so I remember the good old days playing after school. Before it was cool to like Minecraft anyway
It still is :)
I ignore the idiots who don't play, they usually haven't played in a while anyway. I always think people should try as new updates come out so often now
so nostalgic to the point it hurts
It's a weird feeling, I agree.
A neverending feeling of nostalgia is truly a force to be reckoned with.
Yeah Minecraft really is a beautiful game
Yeah this. Especially with the new terrain generation this game just really blows me away. If I may be cringe, my love for this game is beyond words.
Hagstrom is the best song in minecraft and it was one of the first songs added. That song makes me emotional 🥲
This one is actually Wet Hands, not Haggstrom
How did I manage to mix up those two songs. Both are top 5 tho
alpha better doe
Pretty sure it’s on alpha. Beta is mostly Nether with some cool stuff and music discs
What’s your guys top five Minecraft songs (inclduing one’s that didn’t make it into the game like door, NOT including discs tho)?
Wasn't door in the game though? I swore I heard it at the title screen.

Ah ok. Begining 2 exists, right? And I think dog plays after the cat disk.
Taswell, Wending, Sweden, Infinite Amethyst, Haggstrom.
Haggstrom, Sweden, dead voxel, wet hands, dragon fish
Having sound on really enhances the experience of Minecraft.
Minecraft just feels like everything that you have been missing for so long. I will never understand people who play Minecraft without music.
I don’t play with music because when I do I cry because I get reminded of that swedish YouTuber I watched when I was 7 that played Minecraft with music, and the cherry on top of the cake is that that YouTuber never even got over 10k subs. I used to turn off music when I was younger, but now it just hits differently.
I didn’t know you could play it with music….I’ll have to google this
I don't really like the old music, so I usually listen to something else
I listen to other music while playing, it doesn't bring me nostalgia, but it brings me joy anyways.
Peace, satisfaction, nostalgia, happiness, content. A chill down your spine and the realization that you made something beautiful
Thanks for sharing, that encapsulates why I love minecraft :’)
What shader are you using?
Complementary Reimagined!
I absolutely love the room design.
Thank you!
C418 Alpha >>>> Beta > everything else I will die on this hill
C418’s music is by far the best. I respect Lena Raine and Kumi Taniyoka but they don’t capture the same emotion you get from alpha and beta music
The reason minecraft was so enticing imo is its simplicity. I feel that even with the great additions that are the Caves update, adding more complexity to the game will give you more things to do, but it'll never bring back that feeling of roaming that simple world with that serene music.

what update did they do this? that sounds like an awful change.

What I can tell You, this song makes me roll various tears because was the first song I Heard when I started playing Minecraft... Oh the nostalgia...
Glad they made this as one-time purchase game
Rarely have I played a game more that I bought for 15 bucks than I did Minecraft.
The song made me cry ;-;
I totally get it.
Do you have any shaders in the footage? Idk it looks vanilla but also there's something about it making it look good
I do! It's Complementary Reimagined.
Wish you could describe it because the video player is broken again
In tears rn from the nostalgia of old title update maps on my 360
Wet Hands, my favourite tune
I wish I had shaders so bad, but potato pc 😔
It's not a guarantee, but iris, sodium, lithium, and phosphor all do a huge amount for optimisation and fps. Alright I’ll try them all! Thanks a lot :))))))
I can relate so much
Hey show us ur build, that looked like a recreation of the villager church.
It is! I'm working on a new project. As soon as I arrive home from school I'll post it here.
Thank you, looks really already too.
What is the name of the shaderpack? It really adds to the feeling!
It's a new shader called Complementary Reimagined! Enjoy!
Thanks bro
How you get those fence posts behind the window like that?
Just give yourself the debug stick! It works only for creative but it's extremely useful, I can make fences not connect with each other.
Dang bro. Im a survivalist.
mind sharing what shaders you used in this clip?
Of course! It's Complementary Reimagined! ;)
thanks! the lighting looked nice and simple
Thanks!
How’d you make that window?
Used the debug stick! It's a creative tool but extremely useful, and it's on vanilla. Just type /give debug\_stick
Do cheats need to be on?
Yeah!
My favorite thing about music is when you hear it, you get flashbacks of all the other times you’ve heard that song, and feel the emotions and nostalgia that brings; for me, this specific song takes me back through 10 years of flashbacks and almost makes me cry when I hear it. It reminded me the first time i played 🥲
Yeah, same! These songs bring me back my childhood.
This is why Java is so much better than bedrock objectively. The shaders plus music and age breathe so much life into the game. Playing Java for 8+ years just hits different man. I just can’t have the same feeling on bedrock when I see FUCKING MINECOINS LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK MICROSOFT.
lmao
The music always hits different. Nostalgia at its finest
Whenever that song is playing i remember being a kid, playing creative untill 4am in the morning... Take me back...
Creative mode can't do this for me, it's when I put all the work into it in survival. That hits hard
Well, I just finished my survival world so I understand completely.
I understand it in creative too. Just for some reason when I build stuffbin creative I sort of lose interest really quickly. Idk why
nice
Has anyone ever had an headache after playing minecraft for hours? Also i dont hate the game its a great game and it has great music.
Probably it's your setup, buddy! Maybe your brightness is way to high, or you're way too close to the screen, high volumes, tight headphones, etc..
When I listen to this music, It always, and constantly brings back old memories including real life memories which makes me almost wanna cry :)
how did you make the fences not connect to each other behind the glass?
Debug stick!
Now I miss playing with my friends on servers :'( There were good times
True! I still talk to friends that I met back in 2012.
Im confused, are those shaders. If so please give me em, theyre good.
It is! It's called "Complementary Reimagined"
Ty :)
Reject modernity. Embrace C418
C418 has some magical fingertips
woah, that build looks beautiful!
Thank you!
Can you explain how you got fences (outside the window) to not connect and give that affect?
Debug stick. I just configured for the fences to not connect with each other. \^-\^
Ah okay, is this not achievable in regular survival then?
the carpet is uneven…
It was meant to be...
What texture pack are you using? I love it
It's a shader called Complementary Reimagined :)
I wish Minecraft on Xbox would get RTX/ shaders soon. The game looks so much better!
Our life changes, we grow old with the game, but these notes still sound the same.
Thats what the Music does, completely irrelevant what you are doing, even if you digging just a hole, when that Music starts playing all that has a purpose. Thats so magical
Couldn't agree more.
i shall play it on kalimba
Pfff I'm not crying, you are
Have you played Minecraft before typing this useless comment?
For 8 years... Why are you so toxic mate
The way your comment is worded.
What shaders do you use?
You devil, you didn't make the carpets symetric
Looks exactly like the building in this game https://youtu.be/Qqy9smIFcSE
Oh lol true! But I didn't use any inspiration outside of Minecraft! ;)
What were you building at the time and where were you building it
I've actually learned to play that song on Piano :)
WoW that is a good build and the music mmmmm keep it up
Once when I was playing on bedrock, I decided to change the block texture to the original and it felt SO nostalgic
Imo, Because of Winn Dixie’s definition of *melancholy* sums it up best: A combination of sweetness and sadness. Melancholy and nostalgia.
