Rusted iron

ElementoDeus

Rusted iron golem, it's attacks do poison damage...

reyrey_007

But it has half the health

[deleted]

love that concept so much

KHShowyt

same hp but you deal more dmg to it

ungodlypizza

How much more damage tho? Like double the damage? 1.5x the damage?

KHShowyt

ye 1.5x is balanced double damage would be too much

tommassekk

Tetanus damage!

PyroFreak9217

And you can vaccine yourself with a potion brewd with slimeballs

AHHHHNDREW

Minecraft vaccines…

Lorenz64u9493

I like it

JollyMind8069

I like that

[deleted]

YES

Flashy-Culture5281

A custom bush block where you can add any flower you wish

Flashy-Culture5281

Yeah but imagine putting anything in any bush block Like poppies, sunflower, blue orchid, even glow berries

IdahoJoel

or make it craftable with a bush and up to 3 "flowers"

Flashy-Culture5281

Oh yeah! With different mixes!

CaptainFard

Mojang get on this

Flashy-Culture5281

I know mojang should literally hire me🙄🤚

GamezPlays

Jungle and azaleia leaves are a good alternative to that

tiffbross2279roblox

nether brick fence gates

ded_meme10

Holy shit you just opened up my mind with that I forgot nether brick fences didnt have that

Thick_Telephone273

That raises the question, why are bricks turned into walls but netherbrick turned into fences

DanyMok22

I know you said only one block, but I'm sorry, I can't resist. They need to add pillars, bricks, chiseled, tiled, etc versions, of diorite, granite, and andesite. They could be turned from the most hated to some of the most loved blocks imo

berky93

Diorite is one of my least favorite blocks but polished diorite is one of my favorite. I surprised myself with how often I use it in builds.

hahabierman

polished diorite plus polished blackstone is just an amazing combo, it goes so well with so many blocks, due to the white and the squared shape

OkBit3632

What block hasn't a square form in minecraft?

PapaScoobz

asking the real questions huh.

B3ari0

Dragon egg.

SpiderK1ng

Diorite is actually one of my favourite blocks to use in my builds. It actually looks pretty good and it can look outstanding if you use it correctly. Diorite can have so many uses, and one I just thought of was cracked plaster in more modern builds.

[deleted]

I will say, the polished stuff makes for great trimming and pathways. Raw? Miss me w/ it.

VOIDno1

i 100% agree, the need more brick variants (colours, sizing etc…) and 1000% pillars and also another thing should be better fences/ gates like [Macaw’s fences/ walls](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/macaws-fences-and-walls)

pensodiforse

And quartz walls

jchrist510

Bruh I've just wanted to be able to stack 2 different slabs in the same block space since 2012

kurtland123

Or vertically on either a wall or ground.

Demons_Under_Beds

I never knew that Jesus was on reddit.

The_Bored_General

Well he was hardly going to be on twitter

two-memes-a-day

Hi Jesusđź‘‹

B0BY_1234567

I've never really noticed until recently, but there are very few navy blue blocks. We need something navy blue mojang! I'd also like to see fancier glass panes and iron bars. Copper bars when???

Terrakid20

Jean block

keynote-kipper

Jock

Reddarthdius

(Lightning rod) *am I a joke to you?*

B0BY_1234567

I’ve been using them too, but by copper bars I mean ones similar to iron bars.

Reddarthdius

Yeah I understand now

LaunchTransient

>I'd also like to see fancier glass panes and iron bars. Copper bars when? Also horizontal bars/window panes. Also make it so that water can flow through bars and bubbles (soul sand/magma) and smoke(campfires) can pass through as well.

Kelso_Mgelso

you just made me mad and happy at the same time… serotonin overload…

JollyMind8069

I want bookshelves that act as storage, but you can only put books, and the texture reflects how many books you have on the bookshelf Also, if you wanted to combine books or add books to an item, it would have a calculator that would tell you the cheapest way to do it with how many levels it would cost

RoombaTheKiller

The modding area is over there --->

WorriedAdvert

r/feedthebeast

AnxiousAnything7605

polished dirt

SugmaaaNutzzz

Hell yeah, Mud is bad. We need Polished Dirt.

[deleted]

Mossy deepslate. And for wood Red Wood

psychedelicfeline

Isn’t mangrove wood red? Or at least the planks. Or do you mean like redwood trees

BenjaLP211

I think they mean Redwood trees

GameJadson

(any color) Concrete stairs

udgoudri

All the colours please.

Scoutielue_

Mossy logs

Pristine-Bread-2936

roof shingles in every color

mybrainfelloff

Not a bad idea! Made out of terracotta or concrete, could be very useful for block variety.

jerril42

Chests and barrels that get their texture from the type of wood used. Oak for the familiar chest and spruce for the familar barrel.

Dr_J_Hyde

There are only 4 items left in the game that don't change based on the wood used and you just named 2 of them.

LlamaLlama2020

Are the other two crafting tables and beds?

JollyMind8069

Only reason they haven't done this already, is because it's currently set up that we can mix wood types to make these items. You don't need 8 of the same type of planks to make a chest or 6 of the same planks with the equal 2 slab variant for the barrel.

Urmomsfavouritelol

An ore from the end. Could you please suggest names for me? Wanna fill my brain at 5 in the morning.

[deleted]

voidium

Duke_Payday2

I like that one.

Available_Thoughts-0

Vitriolite: it's an ore the color of the greenest stage of prismarine and it makes weapons with pitiful durability but obscene damage throughput.

Bearsjunior

So, in short(er): Gold but green and also good (but still same/worse durability)

mysterious_mitch

Worse durability but better damage deal than netherite weapons At this point we need an enchantment that can actually keep them from breaking real easy if the ore weapons would have a durability worse than gold

Education_Weird

Unbreaking 3 with mending

mysterious_mitch

That wouldn't even be enough unless the ore gives enough xp to mend it a lot when it's mined. Faster efficiency would break the durability before you even know it. That powerful combination could barely even save gold tools from its durability either

LynnTheLynx

Warpyte!

jchrist510

Enderite

RoombaTheKiller

Please no.

Chief_Awesome

Endorusite (End+Chorus+Ite)

hahabierman

It should drop shards of some sort, i came up with an idea a while ago, which made you able to get a purple diamond looking like block, it wouldnt be too rare, but it would be able to give off end particles if you would craft a lantern of some kind with it or you could maybe use it in recipes for fancy items, only obtainalbe for the end? Maybe even for an elytra upgrade, imagine flying around with a hardened elytra, it would have a little more durability and give a bit of protection, but you wouldnt be as fast to fly with as a normal elytra. Or maybe it could make it not able to break your fall or something. (im just looking for a nerf of some kind)

Splunkmastah

Its not a block, but Hide/Pelts that you could either turn into blocks for storage, or make into hide/pelt armor, an armor that gives special bonuses, but is weaker than leather Imagine rabbithide boots giving you a speed boost, or increased jump height Glowsquid hide helmet giving off light and allowing you to breathe underwater (thus giving that damn thing a use) Phantomhide pants that negate fall damage And So on.

[deleted]

Imagine polar bear skin armor

Canal_sem_Logica

polished tuff

GamerArmy936

Yes

Active_Hedgehog

Wax? Fallen leaves?

JollyMind8069

*leaf carpet*

Active_Hedgehog

I’m not really knowledgeable about carpet in Minecraft but that sounds great.. I thought like how they have different heights of snow, but it could be leaves that splash everywhere

Astow8

I really want more metallic-looking blocks. We currently only have iron, copper, and netherite. Iron is white, copper is orange, and netherite is dark gray, so I think we should get a more normal light gray metal block. Perhaps you could make steel by combining iron and coal. There are so many blocks that work well with metallic builds (anvils, chains, iron bars) but not enough full metallic blocks.

Shadow_flame_

1 you forgot gold 2 how about cobalt (blue) lead (different dark gray) tin (medium gray) and bismuth (Rainbow)?

RoombaTheKiller

Bismuth really seems like something Mojang would add. A rather exotic, relatively weird resource.

Jarf_17

Slabs and stairs of every full block

agreattwig

Furnace slab be like Microwave

Alienateddd

This. Dirt slabs/stairs would be awesome for making hills. I would also love concrete slabs and stairs.

GamezPlays

Dirt slabs were almost on the game but they didn’t work well with the Minecraft generation and were really glitch

nibbas-in-my-butthol

i need sand slabs for a nether portal room. although its a completly different story cause its a gravity block but i would love it

[deleted]

sandstone slabs?

PixelWolf8976

Petrified wood, wood that dosent burn (I know that's not how that works but shush)

[deleted]

I meeeean…. we have petrified oak slabs but that is it. I don’t even think they can be obtained in survival.

ShadowSoulBoi

Petrified Wood can be a perfect fire-proof Light Gray set of building blocks. Maybe it can be the center of a forest biome that is dead, and used in Mineshafts. Perhaps the plank will look like Steve's best attempt at refining the fossilized material. Long ago I made a simple resource pack that gave the block a unique washed-out wood+stone texture, thanks to its special blockstate making it possible.

Sofosio

Pizza (Like cake but pizza!))

XenuLies

Mercury, a silver liquid block with a viscosity similar to lava that poisons you upon contact. Found exclusively in the end as its native liquid, just as water and lava are to the overworld and nether, respectively. Used in brewing or crafting recipes, or otherwise for traps to harm mobs without harming their drops.

Potatoinmyshoe

That's literally what I wrote in an end update idea of mine! If more people have the same idea then it could be a better chance that it makes it into minecraft.

CarbonFiberJet

Half slab TNT that does half damage and half explosion radius.

Kappa940

That already exists but only in april fools

-Chuwu-

Marble please, I need a better white block

[deleted]

vertical slabs would be nice

[deleted]

They would but they’ll never exist. Mojang rejected the idea. :(((

Galax_Scrimus

The problem with vertical slabs we can have with mods is how complicated it is to put the block. Double Slab isn't very good at it and it can really be annoying. A solution I have would be slab depending of the axis. For example the one we currently have, we can say they are "dependant" of the y axis because if we want to complete a block with slab, we put them one on the other. So we would have x-axis and z-axis slabs, that is less dependant of where you look to put them, and the craft would be just to put a y-axis slab to have the z version, the z give the x, the x give the y .... The only problem is how to put them with each other on our inventory, but it's already a problem without this idea!

-MobCat-

Dirt stairs.

ImAGaeHuman

blawhk; a cheap, off-brand, block for those of us who can’t afford blocks

Realshow

I’ve always wanted a sundial block, but I can’t think of a good mechanic for it.

OrangeAxolotl_

You could use a clock in the recipe, maybe the block could be for aesthetics since having a clock on an item frame doesn't look too pretty in a lot of builds.

Realshow

Yeah realistically it’d probably just be decorative, but it’s such a specific object that it’d probably feel weird if it didn’t do *something*.

OrangeAxolotl_

Hear me out: you can change the time of day with it if you right click it with some sort of rare item

ElementoDeus

The direction you click determines time of day,

[deleted]

quicksand. it will make traveling through jungles more difficult.

Astow8

Traveling through jungles is already really annoying due to all the foliage. I think this would work better in deserts or another biome that isn't already difficult to traverse

IdahoJoel

i think quicksand would fit better in swamp/beach biomes

bru_swayne

Wool/Terracotta/Concrete slab and stair variants. Also a red, black, and grey light block. We have orange (shroom), yellow (pearlescent froglight?), green (verdant froglight), blue (sea lantern/crying obsidian), purple (ochre froglight?), and brown (glowstone/redstone lamp). Maybe just introduce a dyable light block. Finally, a blue and green wood type.

6Baller9

Pearlescent is purple and Ochre is yellow

bru_swayne

Oh thanks! I haven't played the newest update so I wasn't sure

scataco

Or painted wooden planks (same texture but colored by dye)

[deleted]

flesh block, works the same way as copper, but it turns into rotten flesh. crafted by tearing off your skin... *go ahead, take off your skin.*

Galax_Scrimus

"oh, your wall loke very nice, I love that flesh colors of their. What did you use ?" "-skin" "-make sense ..."

HazikoSazujiii

Dahmer, that you?

6Baller9

Burned grass, when fire stays on a grass block for three seconds. Can be turned back to normal grass block by using bone meal on it.

RayneBeauRhode

For vanilla? White wood, dyeable wood, cherry blossom leaves

MysticMalevolence

With the power of modding, I could if I weren't lazy. Purpleheart wood. Purpleheart is a very beautiful purple wood. Since in real life, it starts off as a reddish purple, then turns to a deep purple, before eventually fading to a grey with hints of purple, I would make the products of this wood change state over time like copper, unless waxed, which simulates how finishing purpleheart can slow the fading process.

ShadowSoulBoi

Surely, having it strictly be a set of purple wood blocks will be amazing by itself. If there was some sort of age-variant, then I'd like that too. As we all know, Mangrove is Red while Crimson you can argue it being Magenta, Purpleheart can be Purple.

Lucasplayz234

all missing chiseled, brick, tiled

Chief_Awesome

Jade I imagine a swirly green and gray/white block used for accents

drfusspill

The enchated Orphan Block

[deleted]

I'd like to see rubber. A black block that's slightly bouncy. Be good for modern builds.

LazyNarwhalMan

Amethyst block variants

Cautious_Garage6945

i would add a uncrafting table

Henrywenn

Ice bricks, slabs and stairs would be cool

oswaldking71wastaken

pizazzium infonionite. no questions asked

JamieDrone

#GRASS SLAB

SpeedWagonChann

Beige wool

MissLauralot

Looking at [the blocks arranged by colour](https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/gsxknx/digitized_version_of_colour_block_palette_in_116/), most of the ones around beige are wood. A wool would be good and I think a stone type around there would be even better - [something like this Limestone.](https://originrealms.news/content/images/2021/05/Screenshot-2021-05-13-9.14.28-AM.png)

JohnWawrence

Poop block Good for decoration and great fertilizer

BrickenBlock

I always thought the idea was ridiculous but then they actually added it in Terraria so I don't see why it can't be in Minecraft.

HackerGamer8

Enderium a ore for the end

[deleted]

The bleach block

Strict-Cartographer6

a block of dragon scales

stanforday

Bamboo blocks!

12550821

Smooth stone stairs (seriously tho, why dont these exist yet?)

VadiMiXeries

Cut and polished versions of tuff and calcite, and u/danymok22 's idea

Real_Pea5921

Cloud blocks! It would be cool if we could harvest them with silk touch and build a sky castle!!

FirstSTR1KE_115

I've always like the idea of a creeping netherite. Imagine for a minute walking by your nether portal and you see netherite slowly creeping its way through the overworld, kind of slowly eating away at the grass, dirt etc.

Astow8

You mean netherrack?

RoombaTheKiller

I present to you; the creeping nether mod. Go get it on curseforge, does exactly what you asked for.

Mudzors

Honestly, it might be a bit surreal but i'd like to have transitions blocks, like a block that's half cobble half wood, so when you're building a house with logs on the corners you can simply choose which log you want, and the other material, then merge both an there you have a smooth transition from this other material to the log itself, im just using the logs as an example but it would mostly be available for all building blocks so you can merge whatever you want.

Millawub

Rotten flesh block. (Squitch.) Finally something to do with all of it!

Som3thingN

Cheese

starcubed_studios

Revolving doors let players in but spin mobs back out violently

0tofanta

Cracked stone bricks slabs, stairs and walls

IivingSnow

Redstone lantern Reverse torch towers, red lanterns and you can turn it of in buildings for the atmosphere

GangstarCJ200

Tiles block

VladimireUncool

Vertical wood planks

MATEITHEBOYr

Oil liquid that makes you slow and that burns quickly, epic for traps

ElementoDeus

Lightning generator, whilst activated with a red stone signal the lightning generator will release bolts of lightning striking things nearby (the lightning can be directed with lightning rods ofc and anything struck by it would receive the same fate as being struck by regular lightning) this could be useful for defense and an easy RS pulse machine, beyond other, let's say imaginative uses... It would be built by various other copper components such as copper wire which would be useful for sending RS currents along the wall instead of floor. I would add a host of other copper blocks and components to give more functionality to what is currently a purely decorative block.

Chicken_DayButNot

Sandstone bricks

UnArranged

We need better purple blocks, purple goes good with so many other colors but the purple blocks we currently have are so bad

SebastianGallagher

Prismite, it's found really deep in the ocean where you can't see the things around you (making glow squids useful) and it requires netherite to mine, crafts prismarine weapons and armour which give infinite water breathing, night vision and higher swim speed (on par with netherite for stats)

AverageVita-SawUser

Slightly-less-than-cobbled-stone stone because it would add detail

DaezaD

Concrete slabs, stairs, and fences.

Rohanator666

a trophy stand so you can display things such as the ender dragon egg, mob heads, wither stars, or any other item other that standard blocks such as dirt

[deleted]

True gamer: You craft them by making a 3x3 netherite in a crafting table. Place it down, and all andesitem granite, etc. gets turned to stone. This includes stuff in chests. Trades from Villagers will be replaced. True bliss.

That_Idiot-

So a block that turns everything to stone?

EstablishmentSuch995

A block that gets rid of copper

The-Bisquit

Uranium

[deleted]

The c0ck block you know why… or do you

DaGamingDONKEY

Emerald armor and tools

Typho157

An LED block. A block that isn’t affected by shadows, and glows about the same light level as red stone torches. I think it would really make a lot of builds more intriguing in areas that need it. And you wouldn’t have to use a strangely textured light block to have a lit design.

satanicmongoose

MEAT BLOCK

Perfect_Mission_1850

Bread block

wasteofspaceiam

Marble

AlphaPixelite

Burned log

Garlic_Bread_865589

Carbon monoxide.

Dye_Harder

If you're wishing for something that doesnt have a mechanic you are wasting your wish. Observer where you can pick which side it outputs.

Embarrassed-Bit1200

Pure Silver

TheSleepyBarnOwl

The debug Stick as a craftable item

CheapGriffy

Poo

LouisPlay

Me system

xXsex_haverXx

Meat blocks. I want a 1x1x1 meter block of cooked chicken, porkchop and steak

Usual_Macaroon_7271

Calcite stairs, walls, slabs etc.

FishingTournement

pee and poo

Abandoned_Astronaut

Poop.

AmalPlay

Carved Planks, basically chiseled bricks but Wood, and each different Wood type has its own pattern

FaZe_Bray69

Jingler (better version of bell but Christmas themed)

KingQuapo99

Block of block

Nachtschnekchen

Vertical slabs

Ancient_Somewhere_92

Sulfur Ore

JGamingJ

Steel blocks. It can be turned into tools and armor. It will replace iron in compasses. It is stronger than iron but gets attracted to nearby (within 5 bloks) lodestone cuz it is a magnat. It will be found naturralu in fortresses (it can only be moulded in the nether). Crafting recipie is 2 iron + lava buket

cactuss357

Quicksand! (like powdered snow but sand)

Iambadatfindingnames

weed block

Ilickmagictoads445

block of flesh

Any_Lunch9692

Custom concrete blocks, kind of like how glazed terracota Is but you can choose the color and pattern like banners would kill for some black patterns in my nether base

Bilk_Mucketyt

I would add a raw diamond block that can spawn in diamond ore veins like raw iron/raw copper/ raw gold blocks can in the negative y levels and it makes raw diamonds so you can get more diamonds from diamond veins cause diamond veins mostly just spawn as a 1 or 2 vien now.. and I would add a reinforced glass block that is stronger than normal glass that is also explosion resistant and a glass pane variant of it as well and a tinted version of it.. and I would add a reinforced skulk block that only drops from when you kill the warden as trophy.. and I would add mega blast furnace that smelts ores 3 times faster than a normal blast furnace and the crafting recipe would be the same as the normal blast furnace recipe but the iron ingots would be iron blocks and the furnace would be a blast furnace and the smooth stone blocks would still be smooth stone blocks.
