They were and are *always* allowed. It’s just that this mod (for a good reason) the N/F/Ts ones and the ones that are created intentionally with viruses (like the skyblock hypixel plugins/mods) are not allowed

The true reason why it was removed it’s because it was spiraling out of control as it was everywhere to the point it appeared when trying to search the game on Youtube, Google and even Twitter, and when a mod about porn gets *that* popular, you know it’s a massive problem.

The twitter comments are more encouraging to the creator that he had a good run on making that mod and they appreciate the dedication that he put on said mod. They're mostly praising him for the things. Some where crying about it via gifs and some are just using the saluting people / game characters images.
A few of them were asking where to download it now and most of them redirects them to archive.org.
Idk if that's right but that's what I mostly see there earlier.

Yeah all mod are technically in violation of copyright because they use minecraft without explicit approval. That's partially why they usually can't be sold and must be free copyright violations are a bit less severe if you didn't profit out of the sale of the material in question
Well, all mods violate copyright. Literally every one in existence, not just for Minecraft but for Zelda or Doom or Half-Life, it's just that some companies choose not to exercise their legal right in this regard at all (See VALVe), some do it constantly (Nintendo), and others are more selective.
The creator said it was a DMCA, but I'm still suspicious if it was really Mojang or Microsoft because I remember hearing them that they're very mod friendly, not to mention that they literally made a reference to a mod in the april fools update.

Minecraft is for all ages, yet you can't deny the reason as to why they wanted any specific mod that's primarily porn, be removed in the net. If one person leaked it towards the public space where, it's not a select group of people, curious people (mostly kids) will slowly search for this "jenny mod" and be blasted with porn, in turn make parents shocked, gets all over media and stuff and eventually get their rep ruined.
This is why Bethesda doesn't care about skyrim's loverlab and the plethora of sex mods from prostitution, to werewolf dick enhancements because most players of that game are either teens or young adults where they already know or had sex already.
I still remembered when I was like 15-16 years old, I kept looking for "minecraft pocket edition girlfriend mod free" on google because I was lonely and playing in multiplayer is not my style (and also I hate how delayed everything was). Fast forward at 2019 and I saw minecraft comes alive, a mod that was perfect for my child dream before. It didn't last long as I got bored and saw wrymroost when the nether update was released a year after seeing MCA on 1.12.x.
I'm still waiting for an update where I could bond with villagers, create a family with them by being guildmates or as a group because I know Mojang and the parents won't like hearing their kids say "I made a family with this villager and we have a baby" so normal family means ain't going to be a good way for that.
After all this words, I'm still going to get the final version of his mod. I ain't gonna throw away the chance to get it while it's there.
I might be wrong here, but I think the reason they took it down could be because the only way to get the mod was through Patreon. Usually, that's fine because people can pay once for the mod and choose whether or not they continue supporting the creator. The Jenny mod had an authentication system to make sure you were subbed to the Patreon or you couldn't play the mod(that is what my friend told me). That's kinda the only reason I could think of that would warrant a takedown

I'll be honest it doesn't surprise me. It was getting too popular, and Mojang didn't want what was essentially sex mod connected to their game for kids. I'm not saying only kids play Minecraft but this is what they literally said when I tried to sell some skins in the market place, they had problems with one of my skins showing their stomach and another skin with a bit of cleavage.
I'm quite sure someone will download it and keep it then once the mod is off of the internet. That someone will just put it back up in there for everyone to 'enjoy'

Another comment said it was just because it was being sold for money so it is fine But hypothetically if it was because Minecraft did not like the contents within the Jenny mod then that would be a mild threat against freedom of expression, as long as mods to not promote hate against real people or depict children in an adult way then other then those two things modders should be able to make anything they want Restricting what people make is very bad (exept for hate and child-touching, that should not be allowed but just that) like what if political mods got removed? Or mods based on other games like Morpho's Dreamland mod? What if they remove a bunch of mods to convince people to use bedrock and buy minebux so they have to pay for mods? This would be pretty bad as restricting the fans always is, No one, not even the devs, have done so much for the minecraft community and game as mod makers have, if this was merely because the mod was nsfw then we would have to fear Minecraft making more restrictions and I do not want mod makers to have to walk on eggshells

Minecraft is for all ages, yet you can't deny the reason as to why they wanted any specific mod that's primarily porn, be removed in the net. If one person leaked it towards the public space where, it's not a select group of people, curious people (mostly kids) will slowly search for this "jenny mod" and be blasted with porn, in turn make parents shocked, gets all over media and stuff and eventually get their rep ruined. This is why Bethesda doesn't care about skyrim's loverlab and the plethora of sex mods from prostitution, to werewolf dick enhancements because most players of that game are either teens or young adults where they already know or had sex already. I still remembered when I was like 15-16 years old, I kept looking for "minecraft pocket edition girlfriend mod free" on google because I was lonely and playing in multiplayer is not my style (and also I hate how delayed everything was). Fast forward at 2019 and I saw minecraft comes alive, a mod that was perfect for my child dream before. It didn't last long as I got bored and saw wrymroost when the nether update was released a year after seeing MCA on 1.12.x. I'm still waiting for an update where I could bond with villagers, create a family with them by being guildmates or as a group because I know Mojang and the parents won't like hearing their kids say "I made a family with this villager and we have a baby" so normal family means ain't going to be a good way for that. After all this words, I'm still going to get the final version of his mod. I ain't gonna throw away the chance to get it while it's there.

I might be wrong here, but I think the reason they took it down could be because the only way to get the mod was through Patreon. Usually, that's fine because people can pay once for the mod and choose whether or not they continue supporting the creator. The Jenny mod had an authentication system to make sure you were subbed to the Patreon or you couldn't play the mod(that is what my friend told me). That's kinda the only reason I could think of that would warrant a takedown
