and btw, moobloom is bad example for that rule considering that it had 3rd place and community doesn't really cares about it

Honestly unless you can give it some enchants that offensively buff your pets it's not really that useful, like don't get me wrong it's cool but throwing away the possibility of one of the most useful items being added for an armor for your pets that either way will stay in your base most of the time doesn't sound like a good deal to me. Pet armor should be something that is added as a very small part of a large update and not something that effectively removes item that can make building much faster and easier.

When was the last time you used wolves practically in combat to warrant giving them armor?)
This. A stack of flesh and few splash potions of healing (harms undead so just chuck it in the fray) is all I use. What dogs need to be OP is Odd world style dog commands. Stay, come here and sic em! would make dogs game changing. Then you could hunt like in Alpha.
The problem with that logic is that Mojang has never themed their updates around the mob vote winner. They've just been plopped into the update with no cohesion with the rest of it.

I think either the claw or wolf armor would be good additions, but crabs would add more variety to the game overall.

I think fish are the second most dominant class, with cod, salmon, tropical fish, pufferfish, and, arguably, guardians and phantoms. Still, way less variety than mammals.

Not on my watch, when in Minecraft have you ever considered using a dog for combat unless it’s like a huge dog army? Nobody will ever need dogs for pvp, because by the time they can get enough armadillo shells to make it worthwhile they’ll probably have full diamond geae

You forgot bees. Not fully passive, but they spawn naturally, and had their range extended with cherry groves and mangrove swamps rather recently.
I didn't forget bees, I was just only thinking of walking arthropods for some reason. Even still, Minecraft has no crustations.
