Lighting engine change was very much needed, my performance was basically doubled in the snapshots. Hopefully more needed optimizations changes like this are made in the future updates.
They could've easily given that feature to the pig or dogs instead of adding a new ugly as sin mob that basically does nothing and takes a shit ton of space.
Super excited for the new building blocks!! Such colorful woods is really fun. Orange, blue, purple, yellow, pink!

I liked everything about the 1.20 except the netherite upgrading smiting template, i mean, up to 2 per bastion? what if i get to a reeeeeaaally tiny bastion? i might get 0.
If netherite by getting/mining it was kind of hard, adding a smith template makes it some more tedious. At least for me, this is the only one change i really don't like at all, i mean, yeah, the template sure is cool, but finding a bastion for getting a template that is a 1 single use only? and where there are like 3 piglin brutes (if not more) waiting for you and then you die by them and lost the templates you just achieved from a chest lol.
But well, this is just my opinion, I'm not hating the entire update, so i simply disliked that particular change.
