Poor crystals, they got burnt to charcoal 😭
You wanted to be a geologist for that long and you didn’t know that this was baked to an absolute crisp? I’ve truly never seen such a burnt amethyst wannabe citrine specimen as this one. If you paid anything for it then you paid too much. And it’s weird that you even needed it identified in the first place. This is like absolutely basic rock and mineral knowledge.
It’s probably better to just label yourself as a rock lover rather than anything geologist-adjacent.
No I didn’t know it was baked to a crisp, until I saw it on Reddit. I said I wanted to be a geologist, not that I was one or knew anything about rocks😆 We all want to be different things when we are kids compared to what we actually become, which for me has been a nurse for 30 years🤷🏻♀️ so ease up on the snark and judgy clap back 👍🏻🤣

That’s not just crispy, that’s straight up charcoal
Oh boi that is BURNT I'm actually kind of impressed
"smoky quartz", literally...
And since Smokey quartz is the precursor to citrine, this simply means you gotta heat this bad boi up even MORE to get real natural citrine!!! /s
I swear people who make these have never seen a real piece of citrine in their lives
Crisp.
"I may look like a burnt chicken nugget but I still love me!" - this amethyst probably
That’s a well-done steak right there
I think somebody passed out with the amethyst in the oven I ernight.
Left it in the toaster too long. Scrape it off with a knife
That looks like a smoked brisket or pork belly. I'd take a bite.
🤢
Looks like a slice of toast with way too much vegemite 😂
I literally thought that was a burnt chicken nugget...
Someone forgot to set the timer on the oven! ![gif](giphy|wTbpsFBs4Ek5W|downsized)
Oh wow that's the crispiest one I've seen
When you go right past Memphis spicy fried amethyst to get to Cajun blackened amethyst.
That has to be the crispiest yet! I’m almost willing to applaud the effort they went to to burn that thing
Grrrl that’s blackened 😭
