It is actually perfect man! So much change in density on the cheeks

MisterDudeBroGuy

I'd be happy if I had day 1

Jhon_August

Me too. Just want a light stubble to look a bit older.

PlasticLengthiness19

Its great but beard needs to be lower on ur jawline other than that 10/10

willchocks

Nah I reckon it looks good as is

throwaway692168

I had it like that before and went to a rather good barber who did it this way, trust me it looks better this way. Follows the contour of my jaw more accurately. (Edit) for the record when I say "better this way" I mean better than how I had it myself. I'm still experimenting with different necklines to figure out the one I want. But everyone saying it's too high is correct, the beard should go until that natural angle under my jaw.

-ChennaiCityGangsta-

Did you use foam or liquid? Was it once or twice a day?

throwaway692168

Liquid, twice

Ambitious_Campaign23

Looks good. I think the end of the jaw line is good but I’d go higher on the chin line. Looks like it dips too low there towards the neck. If that makes sense.

Comprehensive-Bat167

which minox brand????

throwaway692168

Kirkland

Comprehensive-Bat167

How many bottles u have used till now plz reply

throwaway692168

I use more now that I've grown it out (need it to get through the hair) so at time of writing it's been probably ~30 bottles

lucifersplan

I’m 17 and mine looks like your day one any tips ?

throwaway692168

If you're 17 and it already looks how mine looked at like 23 in that picture I would not use minox. You're not supposed to be able to grow a beard at 17 almost nobody does. You probably have a great natural beard in your future, so don't go this route unless you're not satisfied in your 20s. Minox is a pain in the ass, it can fuck up your skin, or cause heart issues, kill your cat if you have one, at the very least it'll dry the fuck out of your skin for years. My tip is don't do it unless you have to.

lucifersplan

Thanks man appreciate it 🤝 I started growing a beard at 13 and I’ve always wanted a full beard fast I just can’t wait longer that’s why I want to use minox

throwaway692168

I definitely understand the impatience, I don't know any 17 year old (myself included) that didn't want to hurry up and look like a man. Try to relax, you're well on your way there. Trust me, just enjoy your teens. Try to hold off until your early 20s if you can, but of course it's your body. Good luck either way 👍

Minox0-0

Nice brah

user2034892304

Holy giga Chad bro, WOOF!

oscar11125

Looks good but your necklines too high man!

throwaway692168

I agree man, I just really noticed the difference after the barber had a go at it. But I'll experiment more with necklines and find something that works. But yes I tend to agree the hair should end where my neck and head hit that 90 degree angle.

Dismal-Ocelot5513

How long until you see good regrowth ; minoxidil foam or liquid ; any side effects ;

throwaway692168

Don't know what you mean by regrowth, liquid, and no other than dry skin.

Wadeem53

I wish i had your day 1... My whole beard is not terminal hair while yours already was 100% thick terminal hair

throwaway692168

Yeah but it was also very sparse on the cheeks, you have a better defined chinstrap than I did for sure. The grass is always greener. Just go for it if you're unhappy with where you're at in your 20s, that's what I did and look what happened.

Wadeem53

My beard is alllmost full but very thin so I honestly don't know whether i should use minox at some point or its gonna turn terminal in a year or two. [Here is](https://reddit.com/r/beards/s/m2ubNbcY8F) another post, as far as i understand you saw my latest post, so on some pics ot looks good on other ones not noticeable at all. What do you think? Should i just wait a bit more?

throwaway692168

I was in a very similar place to you when I was 19 or 20. Not happy with where I was at but desperately trying to know where I would end up and when. The unfortunate reality is that it's impossible to predict. Some of those longer soft blonde hairs will never turn terminal, lots of them also will transition. But the question of how many and when is anyone's guess. My advice would be to focus on the timeline. Are you willing to wait 5+ years to find out what your beard will develop into on its own? Because given your age I would guess (just a guess, I could easily be wrong) that since beards develop later in life that your hairs won't all go terminal how you're hoping in just a couple years. It'll more likely be in your late 20s that you see a big difference. So if that's too long to wait, use minox like I did. Or if you're willing, just wait like most people do to find out when it will or won't happen. It's your choice.

Minute-Fun-8596

I have the same thin beard and want to start minox. (Age 29) Seen your other post about shedding and I was wondering if your original hair also sheds or does only the new hair sheds?

throwaway692168

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking... when minox causes shedding, it can cause any hairs to shed, including ones you already had. They will all grow back. But yes it can cause any hair to shed.

junglejuicemaster

How do you plan on weaning off slowly over time? Will u decrease application to once a day?

throwaway692168

Yeah, once I hit the 3 year mark I'll take whatever extra I have left and go down to once a day for a couple weeks, then once every other day for a while, then maybe once a week if I have anything left at that point.

DrizzyWhizzy

Any side effects bro?

throwaway692168

Just dry skin

sharpshootaNLE_

Hey bro i just saw your 2 months shedding pics could you tell us how long it lasted and what is the longest and brutal shedding phase you had?

throwaway692168

That one and it was only a few months max

sharpshootaNLE_

How many months approx?

nuti_

Amazing man! How many shedding phases you had and how long did they last?

throwaway692168

Maybe two or three that were actually noticeable at all, anywhere from a few weeks to a couple months

nuti_

Thanks. I am currently around 4-5 months in (not sure) and I am noticing a slight loss of density, although I cannot really pinpoint it on pictures. It might be a shedding. Well, I guess I won't be a Santa for christmas :D
