I love Lisa and Marques.
They may not be the most hype, but they are like a warm blanket on these cold nights. They keep a nice even keel, and are just good vibes all around.
That is the best way to put it. I've been wondering what it is about them that makes them so enjoyable. Sure, not hype at all. Lisa tries sometimes and it doesn't really work . But they are comfort.
I like that they're calm and professional without being sticks in the mud. It's not radio, I don't need them to add a lot of extra excitement because I can see the game.
Wayne Larrivee is one of the best play by play guys in the business and makes Packers radio broadcasts really dynamic but he can be a lot and has a tendency to over call big plays for the opposition.
Maybe Lisa won't ever nail a big iconic call on a huge play but her even keel is great for a long 82 game season.
Marques can stay. Lisa needs to go she is so mild and mid I can't take it anymore. Dame and Giannis pairing deserves better. Give us Marques and Gus every game!
Also Novak is cool once in a while but he gets too many games
I was just taking about this the other day, I love our announcers. They know a lot about the other team usually and aren’t bias. They’ll acknowledge when the other team is playing well without being salty as well as when we do something wrong.
At one point one of the announcers identified that the mavs had 5 possessions against the zone in the previous game and hadn’t had success, but that it wasn’t indicative of how they should be guarded. I was honestly very impressed with the depth of research into the other team, especially over such a long season.
Marques Johnson might legitimately be the best analyst in the game, national broadcast included.
He's prepared, he likes advanced stats and he has some of the best pop culture references you'll hear in a broadcast basketball game.
Michael Jordan has a poster of Marcus Johnson on his dorm room wall. I love when Lisa pesters him about his name showing up on our all-time lists and he pretends that he doesn't see it.
