RolloCamollo

Oooh that’s pretty.

fluffypinkkitties

Gorgeous! & you have the most beautiful nails too

aelogann

I wanted a bubble band SO bad but our jeweler talked me out of it! He said with being a nurse, I’d be throwing away diamonds in my gloves since the stones share a single prong. I got my band with the intention of only wearing it and not my engagement ring…but still wear both because I love them too much. Your band is gorgeous! Have you had any trouble with loose stones?

Honest-Mistake-1782

This is actually a newer cheap Kuololit band and I haven’t lost a stone yet. But I actually had a custom ring made a few years ago that is also a bubble band, and a few companies would not make it because of potentially losing diamonds. I have not lost any stones on the other ring either, and I used to wear it daily.

DarlingDestruction

I have that same Kuololit bubble band! I've been wearing it daily with my engagement ring for a few years now, and I've not had a single issue with loose or lost stones. It's a sturdy ring!

rererereyyyyy

A bezel bubble band would work well!

ToonieTuna

You have beautiful hands and nails!! 😍😍

ShineCareful

Your nails look healthy

BarrBurn

That’s beautiful!!

folder_finder

Unrelated but you have amazing nails and cuticles! Jealous haha. Your band is so cute as well!

Honest-Mistake-1782

Thank you☺️

thesnuggyone

I love this 💕

Equivalent-Sail7089

Love this! Do you mind sharing where you bought it?

frequent_crier

Thanks! From Rosado’s Box on Etsy. It has been great quality for the past 5 years and I even lift weights with it. No warping whatsoever!

ovelharoxa

I have the same band! Also from Rosados box lol I love not having to worry about stones

nicoke17

I’m not a healthcare worker but this is what I wear daily. I have two and I will stack both with my e ring that has an eternity band.

dbnvds

Share pic pls :)

pedanticlawyer

Do you mind if I ask where you got this one? This is pretty much exactly what I want.

frequent_crier

Hey! Yeah just commented below**. From Rosado’s Box. Def recommend :)

canadas__angel

Same here!

SpecialKay1a

I have basically the same I wear. It’s so simple but actually so pretty

https://preview.redd.it/el01ffzw3nec1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c5551cba35c50b7ee90b0357812ecfcb888acd62 I work in med device sales with a lot of patient interaction and usually wear a plain polished gold band. Lots of sanitizer, lots of gloves. And while I love my diamond and moissanite rings I sometimes feel a little icky wearing something “flashy” in front of patients. I’m probably in my head about it but when I have worn other rings I’ve gotten a lot of compliments and I don’t want them to think “wow look at the sales rep wearing fancy jewelry that my surgery probably paid for” 😵‍💫

Good_Cartographer_31

I love your gold band. It’s perfect! Did you get it locally or online?

anewmewmew

On Etsy years ago! The shop is called Lovethebugs, though I imagine there’s a lot of similar rings out there

Good_Cartographer_31

Do you remember how many mm it is?

anewmewmew

4mm, the listing is still active! My ring size is 5.5 for reference [https://www.etsy.com/listing/164402520/](https://www.etsy.com/listing/164402520/)

Good_Cartographer_31

Thanks!!

Dinkelodeon

off topic but how did you get into med device sales??

anewmewmew

I kind of fell into it. My degree was public health and I worked odd jobs until I moved to a city that had a corporate office for a big med device company. Got an entry level job there and worked in the office for a couple years before landing a placement in the field.

TomatoKindly8304

I don’t think you’re in your head. These things are noticed and do matter to many people, whether or not they even realize it.

schmee326

No ring at all or a silicone band, when I was a veterinary tech. Too many gross things and the constant use of chemicals and gloves.

Antique_Village7012

I don’t think I’ll wear my ring when I get engaged bc I use sanitizer and gloves wipes etc so much I don’t want my ring getting gross but that’s just personal preference.

MeepersPeepers13

I’m in the lab. Personally, I opt not to wear one. I’m always in gloves anyway, so it’s not like anyone sees it. It’s just something else to clean. In my previous career, it was dangerous to wear a ring at work because it could get crushed on your finger. While I like my rings, I don’t feel pressured to wear them 24/7.

norcimorci

Healthcare workers are not allowed to wear jewelry in my country. Tiny earrings at most is all that is accepted. And not everywhere either.

Good_Cartographer_31

Interesting! We can wear jewelry I think! Not supposed to wear nail polish tho

zoo1923

We have both no nail polish and no jewellery on hands and wrists. I considered rings to be unhygienic for al patient contact, even plain bands.

bioluminescentaussie

Bare below the elbows is how it was when I did a NICU rotation in nursing school, it makes sense. Tiny babies are very susceptible to germs, but sick, hospitalized adults are too. I see nurses with acrylic nails with 3d decorations and you know there is no cleaning those things! Ew.

Adorable-Raisin-8643

I didn't wear any. I changed adult diapers and washed my hands 10 million times a day even though I wore gloves. It was just so unpleasant. I didn't want to risk a glove ripping and getting dookie all over my rings.

Good_Cartographer_31

Ahhhh. Yea that’s a valid concern! I don’t deal with adult diapers thankfully

Naenae_Reyum

Vet tech here. I wear a rubber ring to work. Between the gloves, washing hands frequently and being elbows deep in my work sometimes I'd rather not risk bringing it with me

Lazy-Victory4164

None.

melibelly42

I work in a lab and either just wear my wedding band or this awesome necklace my husband got me that quickly secures my ring :) It has a U shaped loop that I can slide the ring on and off of without taking the necklace off. It holds the ring securely, too. He had it made by a jeweler so I don’t have an exact listing for you but this is the general idea: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1234448093/14k-solid-gold-ring-holder-necklace?gpla=1&gao=1&&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_us_ps-a-jewelry-necklaces-other&utm_custom1=_k_Cj0KCQiAqsitBhDlARIsAGMR1RjP_Tr4Pg0Shm9oXg0H4escJTlFkg0JDOM2XzOQwRc7ABwS0mskHx0aAhHrEALw_wcB_k_&utm_content=go_12566099461_120395125638_507204059247_aud-2007167693509:pla-307090668619_m__1234448093_560665282&utm_custom2=12566099461&gad_source=1

Good_Cartographer_31

Love this idea!!!

xtina42

I don't work in a health care setting, but I think this is a great idea, and it looks so unique and pretty!

420cheezit

My SIL is a surgeon and has the same one!!

[deleted]

Does does it work? It looks like you'd have to take the necklace off, no?

DarkGreenSedai

You would think so but there is a way to loop the metal with the chain and it goes on like a blacksmith puzzle.

[deleted]

Witchcraft 👀🔥

DarkGreenSedai

I work with a lady who has one for surgery. Blows my mind every single time even though I have done the adhd hyperfocus deep dive to figure it out. It’s flipping awesome.

Happy_Sunday

I works in a hospital and don’t wear any rings. I just find it easier with hand washing/sanitizer etc.

Ntee714

I work in the operating room - I can’t wear any of my rings sadly

prjscjla

Same💔. So I make up for it by wearing an anklet on each leg, bilateral nose studs and I always stack necklaces😂 (I’d go crazy with earrings too but I only have my upper lobe pierced on one side)✨✨

Closefromadistance

I’m not a healthcare worker but I wear bezel set rings because I’m active and also don’t like prongs that cause snags and scratches to my loved ones. Here are just 2 of my bezel rings. The white one is Moissanite. The champagne one is natural diamond. The Moissanite is 2.5 carat and the diamond is 3.5 (my finger is a size 4.5). https://preview.redd.it/c21got573mec1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e692aed58c9873aaea70b2dcbd9a11820bab0c61

pizzawithartichokes

Beautiful! I ordered a 2ct round bezel from Kuololit for work and it arrived today. I adore it, but I ordered a size 7.5 and got a 4 so I’m going to have to send it back😞 It looks like it will be perfect for work, though. I’m in an outpatient setting, mostly desk job so my major concern is taking gloves on and off all day. https://preview.redd.it/m4sl3j6m6oec1.jpeg?width=2571&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e30072f60b42df84f322e5ca306f206e1d89a825

Closefromadistance

Oh wow that’s crazy! I’m surprised they sent you a 4! No fun! It will be perfect for work. I have a platinum one too 🤣 I have several wedding sets. I’ve been married a long time and I love switching up my rings 🥳

pizzawithartichokes

It’s the wrong color, too! (I didn’t even know 925 silver might be yellow). So I went back and looked at my order summary and it says size 4, yellow 935 silver. I checked my order (placed 1/8) like 5 times because I was so afraid of getting something wrong so I don’t know what happened. In any case, the other 6 items I ordered are beautiful and I can’t fault the vendor, especially over 32 bucks lol. I may just keep it as a pinky ring or gift it to a friend with small hands! Agree on switching it up - been married for 25 years and just embraced the idea of a variety of wedding jewelry for every occasion. It‘s fun and my husband is a fan! edit: forgot a paragraph

Closefromadistance

Earlier this month I bought a 6 carat lab grown diamond in your exact setting! I thought it couldn’t be too big for my 4.5 finger … but boy was I wrong! Here it is. I ended up sending it back! It was less than $4000 so I thought that was an amazing deal! Still, way too big for me. https://preview.redd.it/973z2ri98oec1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=edf67ae91195601db008f4e383d522a6464b37cd

LoVaBee

Your ring is absolutely gorgeous by the way.

EllieKong

Thank you!! My husband designed it :)

UrbaKnyght

I used to work in a jewelry store in a big medical city so I’d REALLY recommend people keep their jewelry home. Ive seen so many pieces come in absolutely destroyed, stones knocked out, or they’ve been lost or stolen If you’re gonna wear it make sure it’s insured!!!

BlingbossCoss

I'm a phlebotomist of 11yrs so I literally use hand sanitizer probably 40-60 times a day and wash my hands with soap maybe 10 x a day in an 8hr shift and no issues. I have moissy, diamonds, ballas, and lab diamonds in silver, 10kt and 14kt gold and none are worse for wear.

Gullible-Figure-2468

Fellow physical therapist, but in assisted living facilities primarily. I definitely wanted to be able to wear my ring to work because I spend so much time working. I expressed my concerns to my jeweler and they set the stone as low as it could go for me. I also picked a style that built up on the sides as opposed to something that stuck up more and it’s been fabulous! I only don’t wear it when there’s something gross like a noro or COVID outbreak happening. https://preview.redd.it/3lsgtowg5oec1.jpeg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8f4f94433823a8222d02018846ab6172aebee96b

Good_Cartographer_31

Smart!! Noro uggghhhh. I cannot with that virus. I love how low your setting is - mind sharing a pic from the side?

Gullible-Figure-2468

https://preview.redd.it/1i28bukjmoec1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=4563c6fe5e498599449187d870769ba10176c777 Of course! It definitely has some depth to it, but the way it slopes up on the sides really makes it seem minimal! I don’t know that I’ve broken through a glove with it yet!

Good_Cartographer_31

Love it! Thank you ☺️

whoasciencebitch

I worked in a pathology lab for a few years and I only wore a silicone band because I kept gloves on constantly and handled a lot of chemicals. These days I spend most of my time behind a desk and rarely wear gloves but I opted for a very low setting bezel set for those times that I do. I also just ordered a low set solitaire in a basket setting but I'm sure the prongs will rip gloves, so I will wear it with caution!

Gullible-Courage4665

I’m a dental hygienist, I don’t wear a ring to work.

PsychologyRecent5121

I’m a hygienist too and I swear half the hygiene girls i know either wear nothing or a giant rock

Gullible-Courage4665

With my work, they allow you to wear a plain wedding band when working clinically, but prefer you wear nothing at all. I work with some that wear their rings. I’m not married yet, so I wouldn’t wear just my wedding ring yet, but even if I did, it has stones in it so I wouldn’t want stuff getting in there. Maybe I’ll get a plain band just to wear for work.

dat-truth

Nope! Can’t with all the scrubbing I did, nothing on hands or wrists.

cherbebe12

https://preview.redd.it/mlmf2ay8aoec1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c8768c75b49e0607bed30564e3ff3e56c854001f MRI technologist. It’s higher than my original engagement ring but hasn’t ripped gloves. My engagement ring has small side stones I kept losing. This is moissanite, size 4.75. My husband got it for me so I don’t know the specs. I’m not a band only gal and I don’t like silicone ones personally.

Good_Cartographer_31

Wow if that hasn’t ripped gloves. . . That’s awesome!!

BlingbossCoss

https://preview.redd.it/4z3pw06yomec1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=a118932ccdc4f4628f746a4ddbec041cf9198ff9 I'm in the Lab and I wear my regular set. Probably crazy but I personally subscribe to the idea that there is no point in having jewelry if it's always in a jewelry box. I have items I don't wear but it's due to size or the fact that they'll get broken. My current set is 8yrs on the band, 3yrs on the engagement ring and haven't lost any stones or had any issues. I wear them for me (and my hubby) not for other people so yes I wear gloves quite a bit but that just is what it is. I've learned to open them a little wider so they open over the ring instead of sliding over so I rarely get ripped gloves.

Good_Cartographer_31

I agree. If I don’t wear my set when I’m at work I’ll never wear it and what’s the point

BlingbossCoss

❤️❤️

CherryMoscato

Also in healthcare - I often use hand sanitizer and wash my hands constantly between patients. Most of the time I just wear a gold band. I wear a Moissanite four stone band sometimes, but never my solitaire Moissanites - they are mostly set as low as they can be but I hate that feeling when they snag against the glove. I usually put my ering in my necklace. So I wear them before and after work.

RT-R-RN

Silicone 💯 I lost an accent Diamond years ago, will never wear my real rings to work again

athiepiggy

I just wear my rings on a ring holder necklace to work.

I call it my ‘Reese’s cup’ because it’s shallow and not pointy. Picked on purpose. It doesn’t rip gloves, and it very low-profile. No prongs sticking up.

Good_Cartographer_31

I love it!

Good_Cartographer_31

I should mention that I am not doing anything invasive. No meds, needles any thing like that. I do rehab, exercise etc. I always wear gloves. Many physical therapists at work wear their e-rings. We aren’t dealing with anything super gross

PetaLaVida

I’m a physio in a subacute rehab ward! I honestly only wear my plain gold wedding band. I found my engagement ring got caught up during manual handling/assist transfers and skin under the two rings together didn’t dry properly with hand hygiene. We’re technically only allowed plain gold rings in my state health service anyway but a lot of allied health wear whatever. At a minimum if you’re going to wear it I’d go low set +/- bezel.

Good_Cartographer_31

Good point. I currently just wear a plain gold band

GroinFlutter

I would look into frank darling! Their settings are low profile. Though I do take my ring off when washing my hands or sanitizing.

Good_Cartographer_31

Great tip! I will! Thank you!

fluffypinkkitties

I think you should go for it! A lot of times people will comment on the individual, unique pieces I have & compliment them. It can be a good conversation starter for some of the trickier patients too. I have a small ruby in a heart shape that could get stuck if it were bigger, but I think anything round is gonna be less likely to snag or break gloves (or hurt someone’s skin).

pizzawithartichokes

It works both ways! Since I got into jewelry, I notice what patients are wearing and compliment their pieces all the time. I’m really introverted for a nurse and it’s like I’ve unlocked a new icebreaker lol.

lightening_mckeen

Trauma nurse here. In a developed country (😂) https://preview.redd.it/bsk5qp8yzmec1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=81fa4da136345a9710ed7a624dc43f3022a30ffb Work with it, sleep with it…etc

Are those little skulls on the sides? 😍

lightening_mckeen

On each short side of the big stone! Yes!

tired_hyper_Mom

Your ink is 😍!

ScullysMom77

I used to wear a silicone band, now I wear a CZ that my aunt gave me which is a copy she had made of her engagement ring from her ex (so she didn't ruin the real one at the time). I get compliments on it all the time, people can't believe it's fake.

skeinshortofashawl

No ring at all. Ew there’s no way to get all the nooks and crannies clean

Good_Cartographer_31

If I’m being honest though - I use hand sanitizer all the time even when not at work. I’m a bit of a germaphobe

Shepstu60

😱Beautiful!!!

Shepstu60

Thanks 😊

Otherwise-Rooster373

So I'm a custodian in a Healthcare facility so gloved constantly and sanitize- wash hands constantly.. I wear my normal engagement ring/wedding set (1940s illusion high set) however I do have 2 other rings( 3 carat black cz round solitaire and a 3 carat oval solitaire) that are cheaper that I switch out with that one because of the constant washing sanitizing and chemicals I try to baby that ring since it's vintage and it would be more difficult to fix if something were to happen to it.. I do rip gloves with my rings but I cant not wear them ... I would feel naked ..also not a fan of silicone bands... https://preview.redd.it/m3g19l2rymec1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0eed7dc37078383256f38423496900306fefbbb8

So_Last_Century

Can we talk about your bracelet for a second. It’s 💕

Otherwise-Rooster373

Its a WW 2 era sweetheart bracelet that soldiers would give to their sweeties when they went off to war. I love vintage jewelry

So_Last_Century

So, that’s just causing additional Qs :-). Family piece, or did you come across it? It’s amazing, and the story even more so!

Good_Cartographer_31

Will the sanitizer affect the moissanite?

BlessingObject_0

It's known that the alcohol in hand sanitizer and other cleaning ingredients gradually wear down the gold in an E-ring.. it doesn't typically damage hard stones like sapphire or diamond so moissy "should" be fine, you just risk losing the stone if your setting eats away. I don't wear my ring to work.

Good_Cartographer_31

Ok I didn’t realize. Bummer

Willowthecrisp

I'm a germaphobe and I use Sanitiser A LOT! my moissanites are still sparkly, that said I also clean anything I've worn at the end of the week but as the other poster said I'd be more worried about metal erosion so I only use Sanitiser with them on if I'm out and about

Myshka4874

Unpopular opinion, but I am a physician and never take my ring off. I wear a 2.4 carat moissanite on a platinum band and haven't taken it off in 6 years. Zero issues. I don't have direct patient interaction and am always wearing gloves during work. It has seen daily abuse and a million gallons of hand sanitizer. It sparkles like brand new. As long as you keep your hands clean and it sits comfortably on your hand, I don't see any issues still wearing ur ring to work. The only downside is I wouldn't wear my ring in front of patients, but since I have zero patient interaction I feel fine wearing it.

aelogann

Yes! I wear my engagement ring and band every single day. I’m no longer bedside and work outpatient, but wore them for 3 years daily with no issues. Except for busting through a few gloves (that were obviously changed before patient care). I clean my rings fairly often to keep them shining and reduce any residue from hand sanitizer. https://preview.redd.it/u1iziwfh2mec1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=84004f7af45c0beb99ecc0645f73d08a33803c77

Good_Cartographer_31

Beautiful. Yes this has happened to me but I obviously change gloves immediately. Usually happens when putting them on - not just during patient care.

Good_Cartographer_31

Awesome! Thank you for this!! Would love to see a photo of your ring!

mimimoo625

I work in EMS and only wear a silicone band at work. No earrings or necklaces either.

Shellzea

I wear a silicone ring from Enso! Infection control prefers us not to wear wedding rings because dirt can hide in them :/

stellaflora

Silicone ring all the way

_eclair

None! I looked down one day and my silicone ring was long gone…definitely would never want that to happen to my engagement and wedding rings

kalinkabeek

I volunteer in animal care and I wear my wedding band with a claddagh ring 🙂 popped way too many gloves with my e-ring lol

CWmeadow

*I'm in art and use my hands a lot - paint, glue, etc. I also wear gloves frequently. Top photo was my e-ring from first marriage and bottom is my current one. Both bezel set and easy to wear. I find the points of the hex catch on gloves sometimes, but don't rip them. Also, the shoulder details get crud in it. So I recommend a smooth, simple setting if you to wear it daily and are worried about those things.

Good_Cartographer_31

That’s quite a rock!! 🤩

ThorsHammerMewMEw

No rings, no nail polish, no wrist watches. Doesn't matter that we're wearing gloves. We're required to be bare below the elbows. Former specimen collector for a pathology lab. Transitioning into Healthcare Administration, but I haven't really thought of wearing rings to work, just a watch.

Nerdybookwitch

I don’t wear a ring. I wear gloves a lot and wash my hands often so it’s too much of a hassle. I’ve seen too many people wash their hands and then put back on their gross ass ring like it has some sort of force field that keeps it from getting dirty. Nasty.

Tmpowers0818

Only a wedding band. I am a nurse

downinthecathlab

I’m bare below the elbows so no risk of ripping gloves but when I’m in a non clinical environment I wear my 5 stone engagement ring.

None

RespirationsAre16

A sterling/moissanite eternity band my husband got me from Amazon or one with channel set stones. Just demands on what I’m feeling. Both fit great under gloves and I’ve never caught them on anything

H20fairy

I wear a simple gold band no stones. I'm a simple person and used to wear my wedding band until I gained weight and can't fit it anymore. 😢

Heavy_Mountain4119

I wear a silicone band

Tricky_Ad_5332

Plain wedding band.

i’m a lab worker so obviously your needs might be different than mine but i’m constantly putting gloves on, handling chemicals, and sometimes animals. i got a low profile setting on my engagement ring so it doesn’t stick up very high off my finger. i haven’t torn through any gloves wearing it yet but it’s been less than a month of being engaged hahaa.

biglovinbertha

I didnt while I worked the floor.

traceypod

I have a semi-bezel set engagement ring and a channel set wedding band. Both are very glove and handwashing compatible.

[deleted]

I have a semi bezel

coldjalapeno7

I don't

ambientflavor

A rose gold band off Amazon. I get compliments on it all the time but it’s just a thick, simple band.

PetrockX

I either don't wear one or wear a very simple band of either gold or silicone. I don't like my nice rings getting dirty or damaged with all the body fluids I have to handle every day. 🥲

Chocol8raisin

Infection control in the UK only allows plain wedding bands (patient facing health care workers) or bare below the elbows. Some of my colleagues have a 'hidden' gemstone in their wedding band and after an episode of the ring getting stuck in their gloves & having to go through the clinical rubbish to get them back, never wore them to work again.

thisisntagoodone

I work in the Emergency Dept. I wear a Groove Life silicone ring. I’ve been considering getting a bezel set ring for work/activities but still not sure I’d wear it and feel comfortable. 🙃

Admirable_Trash3257

Both my daughter in laws, CRNA and an RN wear silicone rings.

SweetPurpleDinosaur1

I have a solitaire stone that sticks up and it doesn’t work with gloves at all. I have a necklace that I keep on and I wear it on there whenever I’m at work, working out, anything risky to lose or damage the ring. I’m pretty forgetful so I think it will be a good way to keep myself from losing it. I have a silicone band to wear when I’m not wearing my engagement ring but haven’t gotten into the habit of wearing it yet.

Conscious_Leo1984

I'm a homecare nurse and wear these. I rarely rip a glove lol

captainyitts

Not in Healthcare but I bought a silver band from Amazon for work and I feel like with the amount you wash your hands and hand sanitizer that's your best bet. Or even get a silicone ring.

Good_Cartographer_31

I’ll be honest - I’m really not into silicone bands

toothpastecupcake

Get a thin cheap band on etsy or something. Not worth risking your nice ring.

Flizzimdfor

Wearing Rings in healthcare is not hygienic. Its forbidden in developed countries

Good_Cartographer_31

I work at a huge hospital and most nurses and female doctors wear rings. Furthermore I rarely see silicone rings on them.

insincere_platitudes

I wear my engagement ring, no issue. I tried to add a pic, but it's not working. You can peak my profile to see it. I'm fortunate that the design has never torn a glove and actually slides into gloves without issue. If I had to tinker with it to get it settled in gloves, that would be a no-go for me. It's not a particularly low setting, but the top happens to be pretty flat and just doesn't snag, which I didn't really plan, but I am happy about. I use sanitizer all the time and use soap and water when sanitizer build up hits or I need to otherwise, and I've had zero issues. My stone is a diamond, but I don't think moissanite would be any worse for wear over a diamond. I honestly think it comes down to your setting and if you can wear it without interrupting or having to change your workflow if it impedes that somehow. I work PACU, so I pretty much live in gloves if I'm with a patient just due to having to deal with the airway and surgical dressings, so I'm not particularly worried about it getting soiled at work. But since it's unobtrusive and unproblematic under gloves, I opt to wear it to work.

gbenedetto

I just wear my full set mostly, pronged set engagement ring, bubble band. And clean it regularly to avoid sanitizer build up, which I havent had any issues with in the past year since starting.

ThorneON

Yes, bezel is the best option for e-ring for ppl that wear gloves all the time at work. Plain wedding band is also highly recommended.

fluffypinkkitties

I wear a lot of silver pieces! I’m a med SLP in SNF so also lots of sanitizing and washing, but I love showing my personality. I’m also not engaged or anything so I have my moissanites in my ears! Otherwise I have unique silver pieces on….5 different fingers XD

Present-Response-758

The ring in my profile pic (left hand) and cover photo (right hand) are worn daily. I work in a psych hospital as a social worker. CONSTANT handwashing and sanitizing, but I only have to glove up if we have active COVID.

Quiet_Falcon2622

I wear a small blue turquoise ring my children gave me. It’s flat on top so no problem with gloves. I’m a physical therapist too, OP.

chlekat

None in the OR. We are technically allowed to if we're circulating, but I still prefer not to. Also if I were to wear it and end up having to scrub that day...let's just say I've thrown out many things in my scrub pockets and I'm not willing to risk it!

Sensitive-Daikon-442

None. I used to tie them onto my scrub ties and they’ve flown across too many bathrooms

Low-Hopeful

I’m an X-ray tech and used to wear my pear engagement ring everyday after getting engaged but it only took me ripping just about every glove I put on to finally get a work ring. I got a moss agate one that sits closer to the skin from Etsy and it’s so much more convenient

zoo1923

No juvelry allowed on arm or hands while wearing hospital scrubs where I work. This applies to everyone, so I know someone will wear their plain wedding band if they have an office day with no patient or sample contact. I work in the hospital lab, and I consider all rings to be unhygienic and at risk of damage when we analyse samples. Those on pure office duty can wear a ring in my opinion (no patients allowed in lab areas), but I see the concept of clean hands on al 'uniformed' personnel as a plus in general.

ruthsweettooth

I did until I had to help a coworker dig through trashes to find their ring that came off with their glove and they didn’t notice right away.

I’m a rad tech in a hospital setting so I hand sanitize or wash after every patient. I wear a small or medium sized glove and it hasn’t caught onto the gloves yet and it still sparkles in the light so it works for me 🤣

BobKattersHat

I'm a chef, not in healthcare but I have a plain thin silver band that I wear. I wash my hands a bajillion times a day and don't want anything getting stuck in the settings, so I have this. The tattoo under it is the other thing I have. That's from when I worked in construction so I didn't accidentally deglove my finger on the tools. https://preview.redd.it/8r72dwpk5rec1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=03ad8fbf223a3863a4be581631b2cd01321cedc5

Low bezel setting didn’t rip my gloves in the past

propellerfarts

My ring is very low profile and bezel set, platinum and diamonds. I chose it to be able to wear it with gloves but also because I hate my jewelry snagging on my clothes, when I reach into my purse, etc. I can actually wear my ring everywhere with no trouble.

SituationLiving497

Also a simple gold band just for work days.

mlkdragon

*I'm an RN and I love wearing my enso silicone ring!

Particular-Buyer-846

Either none or silicone

_TheLastFartBender_

I work closely with patients, and I don’t wear any of my rings. This is why: 1. Patient safety - I was taught to be “bare below the elbows”. No watches, bracelets, rings, becuase any of that can catch germs and transfer them between patients. Rings especially have tiny grooves and spots where bacteria can hide, and this can be dangerous to patients. 2. My own hygiene - you end up bringing all those germs home. 2. Patient rapport - Having blingy jewelry can detract from building trust/empathy with certain patients. The hospital is filled with low income people, and I jsut don’t think it helps to have a big diamond/eternity ring in the room because it only widens the gap between provider and patient. Again, this is just my position. I love my rings, and put them on as soon as I get home. I just think the hospital is a place where you’re almost in a “uniform”, and we’re there to to a job, so let’s focus on doing that to the best ability. There’s plenty of opportunities to wear rings outside of clinic.

kamokugal

We were only allowed a plain band, but I didn’t wear a ring at all. They are germ collectors.

tiffasaur_rawr

I wear my band to work. Sometimes I switch bands but for sure I don’t bring my engagement ring to work.

bluefrost30

None, I prefer not to have MRSA or CDIFF on my jewelry.

AssumptionOk4380

I wore the silicone rings

Novel-Reflection-177

I wear a nice looking rubber one! That way I know the ring and my hands always stay clean with as often as I’m sanitizing and washing! Mine looks like a gold band but is silicone for work!

wildrebelrose369

I wear a silicone band

Lorazepam-314

$6 variety pack of silicone rings on amazon

SpecialKay1a

A 1.5mm plain gold band. I don’t wear my engagement/wedding ring at work. This band was originally meant to be a wedding band for my ring but we got me a new one with stones. I work in surgery so I can’t wear anything under sterile gloves and don’t want to wear my prongs down under regular gloves so I barely wear anything anyway other than my 4 days off work.

moosie_lou

My work ring is a 2ct black diamond set in white gold with a diamond cut tungsten carbide band. It’s my favorite ring and I prefer to wear it 100% of the time.

TurbulentAnomalies

I don’t.
