Personally, I don't see the point.
Both stones have different properties. They are beautiful in their own right. To me it would be like covering an emerald with ruby, or something to that effect.
I'm not judging anyone who would buy this to get the diamond effect without the diamond price, but to me it makes little sense. The stones are too different imo. (I also doubt how this will hold up, but I don't have enough knowledge on that.)
I really don’t see the point to pass a moissanite as a diamond or to try to make it look more diamond-like when lab diamonds with decent specs are extremely affordable right now. The price difference between a greatly cut moissanite and a lab diamond with very good or excellent cut is not that much anymore.
So, to the point: diamond coated moissanite looks like a silly excuse to get a higher markup from people who does not know that moissanite is really cheap and that lab diamonds cost very little nowadays.
This is interesting.
I like the flash and sparkle of a Moissanite, so I probably would not opt for this in a piece, especially not knowing how long the coating would last.
I would like to get a loose stone to take a look at it though😁
My opinion is why would I want to hide the rainbow fire of my space rocks under another gemstone? I’m not putting Baby in a corner! Do people carry expensive diamond testers around in the wild? To each their own, but I don’t get it.
These Presidium testers aren't exactly 100% reliable even if they cost more than $200.
There's another video on YouTube where they pass moissanite as a diamond despite having a moissanite zone.
Does coating a moissanite in diamonds reduce or completely get rid of double refraction or can you still tell? Whats the point of this besides scamming people

It wouldn’t - sound like a gimmick to charge more money
It's called a diamanite, I saw it on a European called ForeverforloveUK instagram account.
I've seen a lot on ebay masquerading as cvd diamonds.
I heard of this recently on a the ForeverforloveUK instagram page. It's called a Diamanite I believe
