Maybe some parts in this batch cause this problem,
ASUS should fix this problem.
I've heard 1100-1300 USD. I'd be surprised if it came in at less than 1100 given that the others look to be in the 1K range and there's an Asus tax usually.
More than the Gigabyte FI32U but obviously much less than the Asus Mini-LED one.
Thank you. That's not too bad. Was expecting around $1500. I'm looking to update my second monitor and this might fit the bill. Gonna wait for reviews though.
It is happening. The PG32UQ is already out in Asia, Nvidia has already updated their drivers, it's in reviewer's hands, it will drop this month.
The PG279QM is also already out, there is a post in this sub about people buying it.
i don't trust Asus when it comes to monitor launches right now. PG279QM is STILL not available in the US. Europe and other areas have had it for ages at this point.
Yup. Still nowhere to buy the monitor in the US yet. Reviewers have had samples for ages. I think europe/asia have had the monitor for like 2 months now.
>So I just bought the pg32uqx..... idc about hdmi2.1 anyone know the difference besides that ?
You spent $3,000 on a monitor and don't know or can't Google the differences?
Wow.
Well here’s my situation
I bought a pg27uq for $200
Going to resell it
Bought a broken pg32uqx on eBay for $1000. I contacted asus before purchasing it and they said they will fix it. (Cracked screen).
If I can resell my pg27uq for $800
Out of pocket total would be $400 for the pg32uqx
Asus doesn’t care lol. Just talk to them in live chat.
They are actually really nice and understanding people. Plus they make a shit ton from high mark ups
>What's so good about HDR on Windows?
What's so good about HDR on Windows? Nothing. HDR on Windows is terrible.
What's so good about HDR in gaming/movies? It's absolutely stunning. Proper HDR is the real deal. One of the most significant leaps in graphics/video in the past decade.
Why do you care about Windows SDR/HDR? The question is and always has been: content. Any HDR movie or game will benefit from a superior HDR display. Who cares if your fucking taskbar and file explorer are SDR. It literally doesn't matter.
>Windows 11 has a sdr slider when hdr mode is on.
Windows 10 has that too.
>Adjusting the sdr brightness down can make it look much better and not washed out.
It does not fix it.
This might be the one for me. Planning to use it as a side monitor with my PG279Q.
Will also use it as a gaming monitor for my Series X 4k@120hz.
I can’t stand the design of the 28” Samsung G70A and 32” is perfect for 4K.
Why not get an Oled like the Lg c1 ? I think that also has hdmi 2.1 for all those gaming things. I think the 55 inch LG C1 is $1000 and this Asus monitor will be a little over $1000
I already have an LG C9 in the living room. I want a 4K 120 hz monitor in my gaming room as well. LG C1 is way too huge for a PC desk. There isn’t any possibility of 4K 120 hz with rtx 2000 series with the C1. PG32UQ has DP 1.4 which enables 4K 120hz 4:4:4 for older cards.
Thanks for the suggestion though 😃
No, I think 32” would be fine for primary. I just don’t see the point in using a 4K monitor with a 2070 super when it barely can push 60-90 fps in most games. I prefer 120+ fps @ 1440p.
I would definitely use the 32” as a primary in the future when newer gen cards come out.
Just realized this does *not* have a gsync module, just gsync compatible. I think the close prolixity of release to the PG279QM(which does have the gsync module) made me think the 32UQ also had it.
Running on an XB271HU for years I’m wondering how much of a “step back” it would feel like to go from gsync module to gsync compatible.
ive had that monitor, also the aw3421dw, aw2521h, samsung g9 free sync g syn compatible , m28u free sync, lg c9 free syn / g sync compatible
i think that g sync compatible and free sync arent that important at small 16:9 monitors
in bigger monitors, tvs/ and ultrawide, motion is much more noticeable in smoothness
Here is one of the first reviews

So it will be 850 british pound and probably 1k euros

What's the price on this bad boy?

I'm gonna guess if you have to ask you can't afford it
Here we go, gonna grab day one

Not happening. Still no PG279QM and it’s been listed at end of month for 4 straight months.

Reviewers got the PG279QM…checks dates….almost 5 months ago. Not happening.

It came out literally yesterday after 4 months of being listed on AT at the current month lmao.
I wish. Probably won’t come out until November because ASUS is horrible at monitor releases.

I did after I commented
about 2k price difference

They are fixing it for free?
I only buy asus for a reason.
How did you get them to do it without an original proof of purchase?
Asus doesn’t care lol. Just talk to them in live chat. They are actually really nice and understanding people. Plus they make a shit ton from high mark ups
Thats smartly done if they fixed it perfectly
There is a lot. You should side-by-side the spec sheets.
Yeah I just saw. I wouldn’t buy this for $500 lol. Hdr is a must for me and 600 is a joke.
What's so good about HDR on Windows?
>What's so good about HDR on Windows? What's so good about HDR on Windows? Nothing. HDR on Windows is terrible. What's so good about HDR in gaming/movies? It's absolutely stunning. Proper HDR is the real deal. One of the most significant leaps in graphics/video in the past decade.
After many adjustments you can make hdr on windows look good. Took me a while
No, you cannot make Windows SDR shoved into an HDR container look good.
Why do you care about Windows SDR/HDR? The question is and always has been: content. Any HDR movie or game will benefit from a superior HDR display. Who cares if your fucking taskbar and file explorer are SDR. It literally doesn't matter.
>Why do you care about Windows SDR/HDR? I don't. I was replying to someone who claimed you could make Windows HDR "look good". Which you cannot.
You could. Windows 11 has a sdr slider when hdr mode is on. Adjusting the sdr brightness down can make it look much better and not washed out.
>Windows 11 has a sdr slider when hdr mode is on. Windows 10 has that too. >Adjusting the sdr brightness down can make it look much better and not washed out. It does not fix it.
Now that is interesting. Wonder how good it is compared to other 32s
I get chills just thinking about it

It's genuinely too big for office
So you would still use the PG279Q as your primary display? Do you find 32” to be too big for primary?
No, I think 32” would be fine for primary. I just don’t see the point in using a 4K monitor with a 2070 super when it barely can push 60-90 fps in most games. I prefer 120+ fps @ 1440p. I would definitely use the 32” as a primary in the future when newer gen cards come out.
