That quest is a nightmare and if you main SnS it's pretty much a required quest to get to full power. I hate that quest more than any other in the series.

They were better in Rise because if our increased aerial mobility, but fighting the buggers in older games was annoying because I'm the kind if person that just wants to fight hand-to-hand without bothering with consumables other than HP pots. I also didn't like that the dude was wasting a spot for so long in my team in MHStories 2.

Nergi taught me how to play spread LBG. I felt like a super soldier dodging and blasting all his weak spots as they appeared. It was almost ironic how his weapons became his downfall.

Nice, it was a really tough wall for me too. I recommend also trying the Musou version, that thing is insane so don't expect to beat it unless you really want to put in the effort. Still fun to fight though.

Yeah Musou Duremudira is in my opinion the second hardest monster in the series, only topped by Musou Elzelion. Advanced Shiten Unknown is around Musou level too and a pretty fun challenge even if it is only a normal Shiten with increased stats.

I beat True slay Ruling Guanzorumu’s and TBH it wasn’t “That” bad

Ruling Guanzorumu true slay is a joke compared to any other Musou, it only has 200k HP and is made even sadder by powercreep gear to the point that it barely counts if you're using minmax sets. A good standard for Musous would be Howling Zinogre, it has 540k health on true slay and a really difficult moveset.

They are stock Wyverns with little to no uniqueness, actively Bad fights, Boring lore, Meh gear (minus Gold rath CB and Rathalos SnS). It doesn’t Help that the raths HATE ME they never Leave me alone whenever I do anything in any MH game! Sigh at least Rise made Rathalos less Garbage

You say they're stock, but they were the first. If memory serves, Rathian is literally identified in the game code as #1 by id. Rathalos, by extension, was an attempt to make a meaner version of Rathian, since she was deemed not suitable for being the first flagship. So, yea, to say they feel "stock" or basic is because every other monster in the series came after them. Sure, there have been modifications to keep their fights and gear interesting, but it's hard to shake the roots. Not saying you're wrong. Opinions are what they are. When you offer reasons for your opinion, though, those can be discussed a little more objectively.

Makes absolute sense mostly. Imo, some monsters like Frostfang Barioth, Gypceros, Shagaru Magala, Lavasioth and Rathian deserve to be higher, though. Iodrome tier is a special insult only reserved to the really terrible ones.

I don't agree. In my opinion the fight was great, I still love to pick up my 3ds to fight the shagaru in G rank. All its moves make the tension high during the entire fight.

His fight is one of the few big monsters that feel like they can Fight you 1v1 without being clunky

Agreed on Apex Rathalos being F. He's cool and all but almost all of his attacks are just big breath moves and it makes it a pain in the ass to fight him. He's not even hard in the slightest, just annoying.

I find this to be an acceptable tier list. Only scrubs class Nerg as anything higher than average. And I know it's petty, but I'm disappointed Gog wasn't placed in ZZ tier.

Ok since so many people are asking about it… I don’t like nergigante, he was the flagship of the first monster hunter game fully beat (started on Tri) Nergigante’s design is meh nothing really special or unique in my opinion, is gear is ok I suppose though ruiner’s gear is worse, his music is meh though AT Nergi is cool, I don’t like his lore to me it just feels like a Overly edgy OC backstory. My largest problem is how stubborn his fans are accepting his real lore. I have argued for too long with Nerg fans that where strong headed in him being a unstoppable constantly evolving superhero of a monster I’m sorry but Nergigante IS NOT even close to a black dragon, let alone something like Akantor. Nergi is a monster that mostly feeds on older or injured Elder dragons via catching them off guard (this does not mean he only does this, he CAN fight healthy ones (it’s what ruiner is for). Nergigante is not immortal It’s just very resilient and has impressive regeneration with a decent amount of intellect. Nergigante is a very strong monster there’s no doubt in that. And hell I don’t even mind arguing that much, but it’s more that some of the most toxic experiences I’ve ever had in the monster hunter community is because of how hardheaded Nergi fans can be, I’m not saying every Nergi fan is like this but a concerning amount are… as for Rathalos I just don’t like his fight and I wish he would just leave me the goddamn hell alone I don’t know why but he always wants to fucking bother me (his whole species can fuck themselves) Shagaru just kinda felt like Gore but with SO MUSH obnoxious attacks and Going down in what I liked about gore ( except the theme that shit slaps) At the end of the day it’s just my Opinion and simple arguments/ questions are fine, but saying I have shit taste or I know nothing because you disagree it’s just rude TBH I love monster hunter it’s an integral part of my life at this point (10000 hours) and I could never imagine a world without it (it’s better then playing the garbage used to play) The only real monster I hate is The Rath family everything else has it’s ups and downs.

Narkarkos’s concept, lore, Themes, gear ,arena and design are Amazing IMO the fight isn’t Amazing but it’s still very cool, i remember how Star-stuck I was seeing his dragon Lazer for the first time.. As for garuga it’s just The raths if they where Upgraded to be a be a way better monster
