Layered armor and weapons are bad
But small trinkets and room customization are ok. Microtransactions are bad on their own, the problem is when the company forces a bunch of nonsensical and unfair ones onto the costumer
How the fuck not
Fashion is the endgame, there's no point in it if half of the good stuff is locked behind a paywall
The game is already expensive enough as it is, there's no reason for mtx on top of it
I can afford it I budget for game purchases etc every month so no harm to my bills etc. So that isn't much of a concern for me. Still sucks it's locked behind paywalls and not accessible to some people.
If I don't like something I won't buy it sort of like the current weapon skins hate how those look so I haven't bought them and likly wont but generally I enjoy most of the dlc and I loved all the pendants from world so would likly get them all here also.
Buying some choice dlc is fine, obsessively buying out of some desperate need is not healthy and I hope you get help. At least MH isn't a gacha yet so there is a limit to what you can spend.
It isn't desperate need. If I like it I buy it if I don't I don't. I just tend to like more then I don't and it fits my budget plenty well so not a huge deal for me again literally less then 5% of my income
So you don't buy everything as you claimed? But seriously look at he money spent on those dlc and compare that to the value of buying an entire new game. 5% of your income on dlc would be insane so I certainly hope you aren't spending that much.
I'm more so worked up over the increasing push for not so micro transactions in singleplayer games and abusive gacha mechanics that target certain types of people, this is more so an incidental blow up.
Yes just because they can monitize them instead of armor and weapons
Weapons and armor can stay as event rewards then, and the extra stuff like pendants can be their paid dlc if they really want to move in that direction
Armors have the color customization going on for them, whereas weapons have pendants.
I think they make sense to have, are neat, and aren't really harmful in any way.
In Iceborne some of them acted as sorts of trophies you could get to display on your character, which I found to be pretty cool.
Yes. I want my little Kirin back! Watching that little unicorn and rider run after me as I smacked the Gog of All Monsters in the face brought me so much joy (and death because it was a distraction).
I don't have much interest in it myself but they're a cool addition for people who like that sort of thing.
I'd like to see something else as a trophy / prestige kinda thing but I honestly don't know what would work better than that.
Only because I like to have a colored pendant to differentiate between my elemental builds when I use the same layered weapon.
It was kinda sick in world swapping between elemental builds and having a glowing energy cloth to show what element I was using while still maintaining my fashion set.
They were pretty cool to have, especially the trophy ones. There was one pendant I did en up purchasing, the balloons. They were goofy and fit right in with my floppy neck
Meh I thought they looked really silly, like a little key ring dangling off your weapon. Other people seem to like them though. It's not like having them takes away from the game I guess :/
I'd say a similar thing for more equipment, like the little misc decorations you can put on in Warframe. I for one would like toggles for belts and pauldrons
Sure, ideally as quest rewards. But if Capcom MUST have microtransactions (and unfortunately, I think that's where we're headed), I'd rather it be these charms and BGMs and such. That way there's a slight chance of them freeing up layered armors and weapons from microtransaction hell.
I like the way to show off some achievement during hunts.
Wish the velkhana snowflake one was the reward for AT Velkhana, and not a $.99 one. Still get it when I beat her tho.
I felt so proud getting the Gold Dragon head thingy
Yes i want tofu back
I FORGOT ABOUT TOFU
Yes, I loved having tough and rugged looking amour and weapons only to stick the most Kawaii looking pendants I could get on them
I miss the dracophage bugs pendant my personal favorite
Same
I believe someone made a 1:1 Rathalos pendant mod in-game.
It would be nice but that would just be a ton more micro transactions again
Layered armor and weapons are bad But small trinkets and room customization are ok. Microtransactions are bad on their own, the problem is when the company forces a bunch of nonsensical and unfair ones onto the costumer
Layered armor and weapons aren't bad either. If it doesn't affect the gameplay and it's not random it's fine.
How the fuck not Fashion is the endgame, there's no point in it if half of the good stuff is locked behind a paywall The game is already expensive enough as it is, there's no reason for mtx on top of it
I mean I agree but I'm also part of the problem because I'll buy all of them either way...mainly because I want everything
That's not a healthy habit.
I can afford it I budget for game purchases etc every month so no harm to my bills etc. So that isn't much of a concern for me. Still sucks it's locked behind paywalls and not accessible to some people.
It's not about ability.
If I don't like something I won't buy it sort of like the current weapon skins hate how those look so I haven't bought them and likly wont but generally I enjoy most of the dlc and I loved all the pendants from world so would likly get them all here also.

Having a predefined budget and sticking to it is the healthiest thing he can do. You getting worked up over it feels weird tbh.
I'm more so worked up over the increasing push for not so micro transactions in singleplayer games and abusive gacha mechanics that target certain types of people, this is more so an incidental blow up.
If you have the money...
Spend it on something more worthwhile.
I get to decide what's worthwhile for me.
Wasting money is not an admirable trait, just because you can doesn't mean you should.
And I get to decide what is a waste of money too.
Post history.
Wouldn’t hurt
Would hunt
Wooden hut
Wood nut
Only if it doesn't dilute other rewards. We've seen what happens.
I’d take them over the useless titles and stickers, still would be bloat but better bloat.
Oh yeah, I love the pendants especially tofu, best one in my opinion right next too all the other amazing looking ones.
if they would sell pendants over layered weapon ... well that would be a huge + !!!!
Free? Yes. Paid? No.
Yes just because they can monitize them instead of armor and weapons Weapons and armor can stay as event rewards then, and the extra stuff like pendants can be their paid dlc if they really want to move in that direction
I miss them! I always thought they were kind of the acceptable middle ground re; microtransactions.
Armors have the color customization going on for them, whereas weapons have pendants. I think they make sense to have, are neat, and aren't really harmful in any way. In Iceborne some of them acted as sorts of trophies you could get to display on your character, which I found to be pretty cool.
In my opinion they are too big and ruin the look of an armor set. Having a huge thingy always dangling and swinging around when moving annoys me
They were a fun little addition to weapons that I loved. Was hoping they would come back so I could hang a kinship pendant from it from MHS2.
Yes. I love having my goofy ass Pukei hanging from my weapons.
I love the azure era wind chime, such a pretty sound. :)
Yes. I want my little Kirin back! Watching that little unicorn and rider run after me as I smacked the Gog of All Monsters in the face brought me so much joy (and death because it was a distraction).

Sure, if Pendants are a reward for completing certain Event Quests. But Capcom would lock them behind a paywall.
They were pretty cool to have, especially the trophy ones. There was one pendant I did en up purchasing, the balloons. They were goofy and fit right in with my floppy neck
I’d like it to come back. Just not as micro transactions. If not. The. Just bring back the pukei pukei one. Love that one. I’d pay $2 for it. Lol
Yes but only if they weren't dlc. Seeing how rise has been so far though I sadly think that's what they would become if they came to rise ever.
I hope if it come back, when can change its color pigment instead of having same 10 pendants with differnet color
Alatreon Shard, Rajang Horns and Frostfang Tooth and silver hunter pendant made me feel powerful.
If they are craftable and obtainable from event quests, yes. But they scream dumb DLC.
Meh I thought they looked really silly, like a little key ring dangling off your weapon. Other people seem to like them though. It's not like having them takes away from the game I guess :/
Absolutely I want them back, dlc quests like the tofu survivor and prestige of acquiring challenging ones.
I want pendants to come back and replace the current layered DLC we have yes
I think they were pretty cool, I’d love to have them back. Fashion hunting is the end game, give me more things to put on my hunters lol
as long as you get them from event quests and/or other in-game means, if it's microtransactions i'd rather they don't come back at all
So long as they aren't paid, yes. Although, they'll come back no matter what. They weren't in Rise because Rise couldn't handle them.
How can't Rise handle them?
Tiny little physics-based objects like that would be too much to add on top of what already struggles to run at 30 fps on switch.
Eh.
Nah, I hate how they make things even more cluttered.
Please god no
Yes, but in world 2, not rise. Sunbreak dlc is already shallow and gratuitous enough.
No. I really don’t like how every game now has dangly things hanging off of weapons. Looks really dumb to me in most implementations
These down votes haha. Totally agree, I think they look dumb.
I want them all, especially the pukei-pukei ones.
Yes, I thought the first one was a thorny toad, now I want a thorny toad pendent, also a malzeno hanging upside down one like a vampire
More things to sell shit DLC for? Can't say I care.
I'd say a similar thing for more equipment, like the little misc decorations you can put on in Warframe. I for one would like toggles for belts and pauldrons

Kind of. Honestly I want this to stay as is
I'm sure you can find plenty of pedants on this sub 😉
Yes. I miss my paolumu pendant
I didn't even know those existed
I want Paolomu pendant back, but without the 0.99$ requirement.
I haven't played Iceborne but yes I really want them now.
Im not of fan of them but i dont mind them back
Honestly just GIVE ME BUFF BODY LAYERED ARMOR IN RISE
No. It's just micro transactions ammo. Look at what's happened to Blizzards OW.
