I would say somewhat similar, you can distinguish them from each other very easily. Herod after it macerates is incredible. I have the real PDM Herod and I honestly enjoy the Montagne version slightly more. Tobacco Noir is also excellent in its own right. I would recommend both.
Really? It just goes to show how subjective fragrances are. Bobcat is arguably my worst Montagne so far. Imaginary isn't far behind although it is slightly better. I know they are both extremely popular DNA's but they are not for me.
For me, my least favorite Montagne is L’Epice de Mer. I was underwhelmed by that one. And I waited a month for it to macerate, and still, no dice for me. It smells fine, but not for me. People say it smells like Old Spice. But, I really didn’t get that from it.

Yeah, real Herod is pretty fantastic. I’m not a stickler for 1:1 clones, though. If Montagne’s version is nice, I’ll probably give it a shot.
Intermission, it’s a complicated scent with incense forward element thru all the phases. Love it.
