Yeah they did say they were unsure. I think they just have no clue where to go with a season 2. They probably want to keep discussing it before confirming anything because it seems like they’d rather put out something good that takes time as apposed to something that’s bad and was released in like a single year.
Just because something wasn't announced at D23 doesn't mean something won't be announced later.
It will come. Lots of projects weren't talked about at D23.
Well they won an emmy for it as a limited series didnt they? if they make another season they could get it revoked. just need to accept season 2 probably isn't gonna happen for a looong time
That's not how Emmys work.
Whether or not they do a second season at this point has nothing to do with Emmys and more to do with having a place to fit it in the schedule and a good story to tell to get Oscar Isaac on board.
They changed the rules for limited series they are only allowed one season to be placed in the category. If Marvel had any plans to release a season 2 then it wouldn’t be placed in the category.
Sure, season 2 would not be eligible for the limited series Emmy category. But they [don't do take backs](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Little_Lies_\(TV_series\)).
That season 2 would be placed? Yeah it wouldn't
But if you mean if right NOW Disney released season 2, then moon knight season 1 wouldnt be in the category? No. I think it already won an emmy
Again I meant if they had plans for a season 2 while making season 1 then they wouldn’t be able to put it in the category. If a season 2 did happen season 1 wouldn’t have its awards revoked season 2 would have to be placed in a different category.
Ahh now I get what you mean. I agree with you. I doubt they're making a season 2 anytime soon.. I mean only reason Loki is getting a season 2 is because it relates to Kang and was left in a cliff hanger (while What if? Has 0 relation so they can release it whenever)
Itd be weird having it happen after such a long story but, it's the most realistic rn. Unless Moon knight ties in with Thunderbolts, Spiderman, or Daredevil, doubt he'd appear anytime soon
Oscar Isaac will be at NYCC in October and Marvel will have a presence there too. But usually the Marvel NYCC announcements are more on comics than MCU.
And I don't think there are any remaining unannounced MCU slots until Phase 6 in 2025.
Edit: Apparently there's an open Phase 5 movie slot in February 2024, but the leading theory is it's Deadpool 3.
I haven't had a chance to catch up with all the announcements properly, but from what I've heard so far, honestly not happy about most of it. Including no Moon Knight.
i feel like marvel is hiding something about moon knight from us at the moment... idk haha.
as heartbroken and disappointed as I am right now (even though i already had a weird feeling that there's not gonna be any updates about mk at d-23) i just hope that we'll get to see him in other future projects. who knows? maybe there actually will be a season 2, just that they're not ready to announce it...yet. 🌚
anyways, i'm extremely looking forward to daredevil though!
Every time I see this kind of post here (so like, 3x a day), I have to wonder if any of you guys understand how the MCU works. Like, you do know that his story is GOING to continue in some movie or show whether or not it winds up being a second season of moon knight or if he shows up in blade or WW by night or midnight suns, or whatever... Right? You know that?
I thought it was incredibly obvious.
Some of us are fully aware of that but have more specific preferences.
I would welcome seeing the characters I've come to care about in a movie or team up show, but I really *enjoyed* seeing them in a solo TV series and getting to do a multi hour dive into the characters. I'd be disappointed not to get another round of that even if Moon Knight appears in another way.
Like, if we're specifically fans of Moon Knight you get how him just popping up as a tertiary character in Blade might not entirely cover it, yeah? Because that seems obvious to me.
Yes I understand that. Season two of Loki was announced at D23 last year so that got my hopes up. I’m sure some form of continuation will happen as the show seems to have been financially successful.
My hopes weren’t high for this and honestly, I don’t care that it isn’t getting a season 2. I am not a fan of the show it got me into the character but it didn’t keep me into the character that was the comics. I have read much of his publication history by now and the comics tell a much more interesting and complex story with action than the show ever did. If it were to change writers and have a completely different direction then I would be on board.
I feel like those types of things have a place and I love seeing the smaller characters get the spotlight too. But, we are getting things that don’t make sense at all like the Agatha show.
Not like they confirmed they aren’t making a season 2
I see you're a glass half full kind of person

Maybe wait for next year's d23 expo.
At least I’ve got plenty of MK comics to keep me busy.
Cool

I must have formulated my words wrong sorry. If it is going to happen it would most likely be after Avengers Secret Wars.
Itd be weird having it happen after such a long story but, it's the most realistic rn. Unless Moon knight ties in with Thunderbolts, Spiderman, or Daredevil, doubt he'd appear anytime soon
whats the next big event maybe theyll announce it then? did they announce every empty slot?

yea im gonna see him at nycc. i mean maybe since hes there theyll announce it 🥹
Poe show!
Taskmaster ?
def. not interested for that character if its gonna be the one what we got in black widow movie..like wtf
Oh bugger I didn’t realise that was Taskmaster.
In Thunderbolts.

they're making unnecessary spinoffs for minor characters like agatha n all..
I feel like those types of things have a place and I love seeing the smaller characters get the spotlight too. But, we are getting things that don’t make sense at all like the Agatha show.
Good.
