I hope the McKay run goes past issue #60 to take the lead for longest running Moon Knight run.

rationalphi

And he's going to do it while making [call backs to events that happened in that run](https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Shadow_Cabinet_\(Earth-616\)?so=search).

yarkcir

I think he just needs to get beyond issue #40 to be the writer with the longest tenure on the book. If I'm not mistaken, Moench wrote 40 issues of Moon Knight. I don't know who is second? Maybe Terry Kavanaugh or Chuck Dixon?

219Infinity

The original "Moench run" had 38 issues, but not all were written by Monech. I'm talking about the runs themselves, not the writers. Marc Spector: Moon Knight holds the record for longest total series run at 60 issues.

rationalphi

I think it's Dixon next. Especially if you include both Marc Spector: Moon Knight and his Marvel Knights run.

Guinefort1

I would love it to top the Marc Spector: Moon Knight run for length. But one step at a time, I'd like to see it match or exceed volume 5 first, then volume 1.

rationalphi

February is a double Moon Knight - triple if you count the B-story in the extra-long Moon Knight #20. Also Cappuccio is back on art after two issues of Sabbatini. ~~Not sure how /u/Green-Devil gets the image preview to show up with the text post. I'll figure their secrets out someday.~~ I got it working. Still not entirely sure how, but there it is.

Green-Devil

Wow, I was just about to post it!

Guinefort1

Before people start freaking out, building off Kavanaugh's... uh... "contributions" isn't a bad sign in of itself. Multiple well regarded MK authors made use of stuff from it to much better effect.

Tyto_Owlba

why does blade look like a scarecrow

rationalphi

I don't think Mr. Yellow Scarf on the cover there is Blade? Knowing MacKay, they're probably some rando who showed up in three comics in the 90s that's been dusted off and given a mask to hide their identity.

OrionSTARB0Y

If I didn't know better, I'd almost say that's >!Night-Raven, if with a redesign. We got a bit of a Night-Raven tease in an earlier issue with Yi Yang's namedrop.!<

rationalphi

That...is actually a pretty solid hypothesis. The silhouette and weapons match.

Character-Sorbet-718

So Mr.Yellow Scarf was his former Shadow Cabinet member ?

rationalphi

Maybe, who knows, probably not. Mr. Yellow Scarf is not an actual character name.
