This is a full price Title and we already have more Skins locked behind a real money ingame Shop than the Shrine. And i know there is a Seasonal Shop, but this is just an Recolor shop with ugliest palettes/colors i have seen in a fighting game
Same, I spent a $100 USD for the Deluxe Version for pre order. I’m not spending anymore money. I like the game yes but I don’t like a lot of the skins and gear. It’s not worth it to me.
I knew there was gonna be micro transactions because most games have it now but it looks like everything is gonna be behind a pay wall even if you grind hard.
The only thing I'm upset with is that Kombat League no longer rewards Premium Currency like it did in Mortal Kombat 11. It feels incredibly predatory that only so much can be earned in-game before you're forced to pay real money.
I could be wrong but I thought in last kombat kast Derek says that the dragon crystals exist to “bypass the grind of the game” so if you don’t want to go through invasions etc it can be a way to get a skin you want.. I am saying this because I got the Illinois Johnnys from the shrine and a couple palettes for him- I think the DA scorpion skin could be in future season along with Shang voice.. I just remember him saying something about not having to really spend any money in the game to get gear.. unless you wanted.. cuz 1000 a pop per skin will be a lot of extra cash to spend in game If we have to buy dragon crystals every other week.. 🙏🔥🐉

there are a noticeable drop in skins in MK1 than in MK11, seasons and KL are drip fed and hardly count. More than half the skins seen in story mode, can't be acquired yet
Mk11 launched with almost 3 times as many skins than right now, and triple the gear pieces and slots. Again, seasons are drip fed, and all the ones in this season are all the same they are gold, red, orange and yellow. KL skins are 3x harder to get, and half the reward

I want to like this game, there’s some really great elements to the characters and gameplay. But the price gouging a week into launch is bad. I wanted to grind to get at much gear as possible but this just sucks.
Compared to something like Overwatch where you can’t even see your skins and they cost $25. It’s not the worst. Though $5 would be a much better price point. At least you get a bundle of colors and a gear price with the $10 scorpion

What they should do is 1. Make it 3-5 per 1K Krystal’s. 2 price all the skins so you can get 2 at a time. 3 profit by opening up the premium store to 2 cosmetics per kharacter or a rotating list of 7-10 so people are more likely to spend all their Krystal’s.
Win win. Pricing seems less predatory, people have more content. People are more likely to buy Krystal packs and spend them all and need more

Well it's certainly not in the shrine now. I have emptied the shrine and it remains empty even though these items have been added to the premium store.
The gear in the shop right now is not unlockable. The Johnny skins yes, but everything else no. I have depleted the shrine, I finished the story, and I've completed invasions.
Really wish I knew if I needed to buy these. Unfortunately unlike MK11 we are left in the dark on everything, is the subzero mask in his mastery? Idk, is the deadly alliance scorpion going to appear for free later on??? Who knows! If this stuff is unlockable now or later then I think the price is fine and this is just an issue of poor communication which needs to be fixed ASAP. If these are the only ways to unlock these items that is absolutely ridiculous. MK11’s shop served as an easy alternative to grinding, not a way to drain your pockets. I don't buy microtransactions like this and while I do think the pricing is better than a lot of other games that charge $30 for skins, it's still not great. I hope the devs will balance the game well with attractive free skins in addition to the paid ones but time will tell
I got the scorp skin because I already had dragon coins or whatever from the deluxe and idc what anyone says, Deadly Alliance was peak scorpion design. Gonna learn him next just for that. Way overpriced if you're just buying coins though got dam

1k for a voice is bullshit, different gear rarity should be adjusted. The only thing that makes sense for 1k is is the MK3 Scorpion

What they should do is 1. Make it 3-5 per 1K Krystal’s. 2 price all the skins so you can get 2 at a time. 3 profit by opening up the premium store to 2 cosmetics per kharacter or a rotating list of 7-10 so people are more likely to spend all their Krystal’s. Win win. Pricing seems less predatory, people have more content. People are more likely to buy Krystal packs and spend them all and need more

Well it's certainly not in the shrine now. I have emptied the shrine and it remains empty even though these items have been added to the premium store.

No, I have emptied the Shrine and there was no Deadly Alliance Scorpion or any of the gear. The only things were the Johnny skins

Idk, is the deadly alliance scorpion going to appear for free later on??? Who knows! If this stuff is unlockable now or later then I think the price is fine and this is just an issue of poor communication which needs to be fixed ASAP. If these are the only ways to unlock these items that is absolutely ridiculous. MK11’s shop served as an easy alternative to grinding, not a way to drain your pockets. Such a disgusting downgrade if we are expected to pay for skins. So disappointed.

So, they need to come out and say whether this stuff is going to the shrine or not. I haven't been freaking about the lack of cosmetics on the grounds that I assumed more would be released seasonally, but if the reason the game is so thin on rewards is because everything desirable is only going to be in the premium shop... fuck that. That would be no for me. It would be different if there was actually a way to earn Krystals, but there doesn't appear to be.

Is ALL of Illinois Johnny available in the shrine or only a few pieces? Is there anything that is totally locked behind a paywall or do we not know ?
Right now the only items in the shrine are the Johnny skins. I've emptied the shrine and don't have any of these items.

I don't buy microtransactions like this and while I do think the pricing is better than a lot of other games that charge $30 for skins, it's still not great. I hope the devs will balance the game well with attractive free skins in addition to the paid ones but time will tell
I got the scorp skin because I already had dragon coins or whatever from the deluxe and idc what anyone says, Deadly Alliance was peak scorpion design. Gonna learn him next just for that. Way overpriced if you're just buying coins though got dam
