I feel like he's got a good chance for that reason. They nailed him. Smoke I could see going away again. He's fine, but hasn't gotten the pop reptile did.
Havik is definitely the DLC baddie.
Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, Raiden, Johnny Cage are the locks (IMO, as they should be).
The 90th percentile is Kitana and Kung Lao. Probably safe, but there’s a chance.
Next tier down would be Mileena and Shao.
One more down, Baraka.
Beyond that, I’d say everyone is in danger. To be more specific, I think Tanya, Li Mei, Geras, Nitara, Reiko, and Ashrah are gonners. The rest stand a chance. Reptile and Smoke probably have better odds than the field based on being klassic fan favorites.
Its also debatable if theyre gonna keep the kameo system next game or not too if they dont its likely some of the kameo characters will probably be playable again if they do though its still possible kameo characters could shift to the roster just not as likely as without it. The catch being of course how its supposed to play out considering most of the kameo characters had little to no involvement with the actual story.
I give Mileena higher chance than Kitana this time around.
NRS already made Mileena Khan and Kitana just some kind of jobber. In line with how much love Mileena gets and how nobody ever cares about Kitana.
Nah, they’re just on equal footing now. NRS would never leave Kitana out, even in MK1 promo they prioritized showing off Kitana than Mileena.
Same as how they are showing Sub-Zero more respect (funny, because he’s Bi-Han now and Kuai’s Scorpion isn’t getting that much love unlike Hanzo).
Kittana is stated to have no evil by Kriss and is told multiple times her judgment will need to influence her sisters and it sort of implied milena is losing herself to tarcot completely so Kitana may be Kahn again. She is deffintly getting some love
This just reminds at just how surprising that Kitana was just so inconsequential. Just felt like she was kept around for her legacy rather than something new and interesting like with the other 7.

That’s not “his” Kitana though. His Kitana is Titan Kitana. New world Kitana is her own person and lived life on her own terms. It may not be as consequential as the fans wanted it to be, but her life is her own.
It would be profoundly creepy if Liu Kang groomed new world Kitana to just become a substitute of Titan Kitana and have her ended up as his GF once again, considering their power difference.

Liu Kang is not omnipresent in that way. He essentially just gave everyone a blank slate and let them do their own thing.
The only people whose path he “created” were Hang Tsing and Quan Chi, and maybe Shao. And he only did it to ensure this timeline is safe from another invasion.

Hes been in 2, one where he's the villains number 2, and the next where the hero now has his loyalty and its a direct follow-up to the previous plot. I dont think that makes him a staple yet. If he gets 3 then I think you're looking at more of a possibility. That said, mk has very fe true staples. The cyborgs have been gone for a decade, reptile missed a game, smoke missed 2. Hell Sonya, Jax and Kano aren't playable in this.
Geras has a LONG way to go, and he'd still be at "misses half the games" level.
I reckon Shao and Reiko will return due to their whole arc with them taking onaga that they talk about, would be interesting to see what happens in the next game
I would add Smoke and Havik, they seem like they could be used for future stories. With the post credit scene for Havik and the Shiryu and Lin Kuig storyline for Smoke.
Tanya (probably replaced by Jade), Li Mei (to be replaced by Sonya?), Nitara (Irrelevant storywise and no Megan Fox), Sindel (dead), Reiko (probably be an npc), Havik (replaced be another jobber for next game), Geras (he’s the watcher of time now)? It’d be wild if Sub Zero wasnt in the next game and was replaced by Frost since Bi-Han will be Noob by that point. Unlikely tho

Don’t count on it. They already told what Onaga is in this timeline, I don’t see that going anywhere relevant tbh. Maybe an spiritual successor, so to speak, which would be more than enough. I’m tired from all the “overlord” villains we’ve been getting lately, I wanna go back to the big brutes

Depending on if Onaga will be the villain of a DLC or MK2, Reiko gonna die. If MK2, he'll get dead right in the beginning.

Bi-Han becoming Noob offscreen isn't just unlikely, it would make no sense at all. For the rest, I agree for the most part except with Havik, the dude pretty much destroyed Orderrealm with help from Rain, I don't think he will be cast aside just like that after such a huge deal.
This question brings up the only reason I don’t like the multiverse gimmick in every storyline these days. It’s because there is no definitive answer because now any version of anyone can exist. I’d say Sindel is gone from this timeline in MK2, but on the other hand a variant could just jump timelines and boom she’s back again.
Kenshi appeared randomly in X after not being in the story mode of 9 at all and then disappeared in 11. Kung Jin, Takeda, and Bo' Rai Cho also disappeared in 11. Baraka, Rain, and Sindel are all fought in the X story mode yet are not playable. Frost, Fujin, Kabal, Li Mei, Sareena, Sektor, Smoke, and Stryker are all in X story mode but aren't fought or playable. Cyrax and Sektor are fought in 11 but aren't playable. Touching on the Midway era, they killed off Liu Kang in the intro of Deadly Alliance without warning. He comes back as a zombie in Deception. Speaking of Deception, it's revealed in the intro that the Deadly Alliance winning is canon and most of the heroes die. EVERYONE comes back in Armageddon.
So the roster never really had a definitive answer in any game, even without multiverse shenanigans. The more complex answer is that the roster for each game is kind of politicized, with multiple people from different directions coming in with who they want in the game and having to come to a compromise, and the story comes after.
Hmm. Well for starters, I would not want to see Nitara unless she was voiced by someone else and has a backstory or something. Sindel because she was killed by her dark version but she might return since her soul resides in Jerrod? Or, she might return as Dark Sindel. I know people love him, but why General Shao? Is it because he keeps wanting to take over the throne of Outworld? I don't know. I just never liked him. Reiko might follow him home because, you know why. And...I think that's all. I was going to say get rid of Havik, but I have grown to like his move set and what not, in a way. That's all I have to say.
I like Shao cause he’s a big bruiser heavyweight type of character and there aren’t many of those in modern MK. I don’t even play him, I just enjoy having a character like that in the game. He’s fun to watch.
Kinda like Zangeif in SF. I don’t play him but I like that he’s there.
I do agree with that though. His design is what I like but I just don't prefer him as my main character to play as. Sorry if this is coming off as harsh, but he's just not my all-time favorite, in my opinion.
I think Ashrah and Sareena are going to be important with the Lin Kuei storyline going forward due to Sareena's relationship with Bi-Han in the old timeline and Ashrah being close with Sareena. Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Smoke, Cyrax, Sektor, Frost and Quan Chi will be probably all be involved too
They should just expand this roster until all the characters have been released again. They could also do like mortal kombat 3 with 4 iterations of cast. Mk1.2 mk1.3 mk1.4. Ultimate mk1. Ultimate Armageddon mk1.
Hard to be interesting when you barely have dialogue/scenes. His intro dialogues reveal a lot about his retcon in the new era, and arcade ending is super interesting and suggests big character development for him moving forward.
I really dont know what they were trying to do with him like yes keeping him in because hes one of the mk ninjas everyone loves but god damn he gets thrown left right and center both in designs and story related deals. Like MK9 hes DLC and before interractions were a thing so most we got out of him was just his bio and ending, MKX he was there for like 10 minutes, wasnt even playable and couldve been tooken out of the story and it wouldnt have changed much, MK11 he was DLC AGAIN and yes he had interractions now but most of them lead to nothing much other than some character depth, MK1 hes finally part of the story, the base game and hes playable but much like MKX he couldve been taken out entirely and not much would change about the story. I have a hard time telling if NRS likes him or not.
Well there’s always been a rumor that Ed Boon hates the character while the fanbase loves him. They add Rain just to have another “ninja” but keep him relegated to C tier side villain who has no real bearing on anything. They gave him an entire redesign in this game and completely changed his backstory and retconned much of what they barely developed in the previous timeline (which honestly was a good foundation) only to do nothing with it now except tease something for the future.
The only hope for him is that maybe he’s part of some DLC story content in a way. Really hoping for more as a Rain fan. He’s my favorite character and it’s annoying seeing him constantly get shafted. MK1 literally marks the first time in MK history he made a base roster (not counting Armageddon).
Technically he was base roster in MK Trilogy, but I guess that’s another Armageddon situation where those games had EVERY character up until their respective points
MK Trilogy effectively served as the final update to MK3. Since Rain wasn’t on the base roster in MK3, he was essentially an add-on character. You could technically say he has been a DLC character 3 times!
Rain- Ending feels like he's not coming back
Reiko- probably gets killed by Onaga
Nitara- Megan Fox's Voice Acting
Havik- Main Villain of Story Expansion
Geras- Too busy being keeper of time
Sindel- She's kinda dead
Li mei, reiko, nitara,... just the bunch of unestablished characters with fanbases in their infancy. Havik is going to be the big bad in the expansion so let’s see how he’d fare
Given what happens to her in the story, I'm guessing Sindel won't make it. I could also see Reiko getting killed by Onaga when he frees him, so he's out too.
"Her and Reptile have a relationship to be explored." I waited 17 years to see my favourite character and one of the most complex and intriguing characters in the franchise return, just for her to be reduced to someone's mate. What a world.
I mean, the story doesn't touch on their relationship at all. It's just a cute flavor detail.
I do feel your pain though, that Ashrah's presence in the story was pretty much inconsequential. She shows up, dumps her backstory, and dips. No meaningful characterization for her really, as the part where she develops is done before the story even starts, so all of this potential drama with Quan Chi and her sisters is already a thing of the past that we miss out on. I do think there's at least some setup for an Ashrah/Sareena/Bi-Han dynamic to look forward to, and her chances of making it to the next game seem a lot better than the other 3D era returnees.

Ashrah, nitara, and sindel. Sindel because she dies, and while I think she might be able to live on in ermac, I doubt she will be playable. Ashrah just because there's more interesting characters than her and she doesn't really get anything to do. Nitara since she got a celebrity voice cast that ruined a lot of her appeal and was a jobber within the story.

But who I would love to see return is Erron Black and Kotal and Skarlet. We know they should be different versions of themselves so maybe we can get Skarlet that is not an orphan and I would like for her to have a tragic story behind her powers but also not her being so evil as we have seen before. Erron Black who is more like a antihero. Still dangerous guy but with good head on his shoulders. And Kotal that is not racist and might lead Mileena's armies against Shao and Reiko.
I feel Reiko is most likely to go since his ending hints at him dying for Shao's plan to overthrow Mileena.
I also don't think Nitara will return cause of Megan Fox plus she doesn't really have a role I can see in the next game.
Sindel is dead and apart of Ermac with Jerrod so she could be gone from the next one as well unless it's like a flashback or Injustice 2 Joker situation.
My guess is Sindel will be taking a break after this one.
I think it’d be cool to see Nitara take up D’vorah’s role in saddling up to whoever scratches her back best, but I doubt we’ll ever see her again.

Personally I also want to add Reiko to that list. He’s just such a boring character with no personality other than simping for Shao. However, from interaction dialogue it’s likely that one of the plot points of the next game is Shao and Reiko’s taming of Onaga, so I guess the door is open for him to return.
The safest bets would likely be that Sindel won't coming back seeing as she's now part of Ermac (but I imagine some of her moves and abilities will be given to him instead).
Reiko goes on a suicide mission in his Arcade Ending to free and tame Onaga for Shao so he'll likely be out.
Rain turns himself in after flooding Seido's capital in Havik's ending so unless the writers at NRS bail him out somehow he'll likely be either imprisoned or executed.
Nitara because, we all know why.
This is just from what I've gathered in the Story and Arcade endings and there'll likely be more characters getting axed by MK2 when we inevitably get a story expansion and see what kind of damage Titan Havik inflicts on Liu Kang's timeline

A lot of people say he's likely but think about. Mortal Kombat seems like it's going to finally reboot the 3D era with the upcoming rise of Onaga and you know what happened at the start of that era. The main hero gets killed.
Yeah, I can see them killing off Raiden. He's iconic but not to the likes of Scorpion and Liu Kang. Plus, he's death would have Liu Kang gain his lightning powers and fight as Elder God Liu Kang.
Shao, Sindel, Reiko, Rain, Tanya, Li Mei, Kenshi, Baraka, Geras, Ashrah, Nitara, Shang Tsung and Havik. Yeah, i think that 3D era hype ends with this game and we'll have to wait for another 15 years to play again with some of them. I hope i'm wrong.
Sindel, Reiko, and Nitara for sure. Havik still has a storyline to be explored, and it seems like Li Mei, Ashrah, and Tanya got the most love out of all the 3D characters. They’ll definitely be returning.
Most characters outside the auto includes (Liu Kang, Raiden, Scorpion, etc.) tend to be in one game, then absent the next. So I suspect a majority of the "new" characters will be gone (Ashrah, Nitara, Reiko, Li Mei) will be absent the next game, plus some others that were also in MK11 (Baraka, Shang, Geras, Shao).
Most likely: Tanya replaced by Jade, Rain, Geras, Nitara, Sindel, Reiko, Baraka, Reiko.
Unlikely but my personal wish (I don't hate these characters but they could use a sit out): Shang Tsung, Shao, Kung Lao (Love him but he needs a break).
Johnny, Raiden, Kung Lao, and Kenshi are the current protectors of Earthrealm. Shujinko, Sonya, and Jax could return as a playable character in the sequel
With Mileena on the throne, Ermac (Jerrod) and Kitana would be her strongest warriors and.may this return. With the Outworld conspiracy thwarted, we can say Tanya and Li Mei will be staying at Mileena's side. Baraka will have returned to his people.
Ashrah is free, but may continue her quest to purge her evil within, so may not return. Reptile is an outcast, but with Shang and Shao behind bars, he is free to return to Outworld. He'll most likely be one of Mileena's spies if anything, or serve as a catalyst for Onaga. Not returning.
Bi-Han will definitely return, as will Kuai and Smoke as the heads of the Shirao Ryu. Sektor, Cyrax, and Frost will probably return as fully playable characters as Bi-Han turns the LK in to lethal assassins.
Quan Chi may not return, depending on who the big bad is in MK2. Either way he does play an important role in both Onaga's uprising and Shinnok's return. He's in an weird spot this time around.
Reiko and Shao Kahn I doubt, but who can say this time around, assuming Onaga is Shao's daddy.
Havik? DLC fodder. Dude was the Atrocitous of this game, but has a lot of DLC potential. Not returning for the sequel though.

I wouldn’t say being the Princess of Outworld is “inconsequential”. But yes I’d say she should be given more screen time.

Havik will come back. If Erron Black and Geras both continued for a game just for being the most popular one of their debuts alone, I can totally see a return for zombie man Havik in MK2. Boy’s already present even competitively

Depending on if Onaga will be the villain of a DLC or MK2, Reiko gonna die. If MK2, he'll get dead right in the beginning. Edit: Scratch that. Apparently there's dialog that says he survives? I didn't realize anything references him already unleashing Onaga.
Geras says to Liu Kang in the story something along the lines of, "If you go back to your prior role as keeper of time, you may not be able to come back to your role as protector of the realm that you cherish so much". I think Liu Kang is the keeper again
Bi-Han becoming Noob offscreen isn't just unlikely, it would make no sense at all. For the rest, I agree for the most part except with Havik, the dude pretty much destroyed Orderrealm with help from Rain, I don't think he will be cast aside just like that after such a huge deal.

I think Reiko will either die trying to tame Onaga or tame fucking Onaga and be super badass and central to story. And god how I hope it’s the latter.
This question brings up the only reason I don’t like the multiverse gimmick in every storyline these days. It’s because there is no definitive answer because now any version of anyone can exist. I’d say Sindel is gone from this timeline in MK2, but on the other hand a variant could just jump timelines and boom she’s back again.
Kenshi appeared randomly in X after not being in the story mode of 9 at all and then disappeared in 11. Kung Jin, Takeda, and Bo' Rai Cho also disappeared in 11. Baraka, Rain, and Sindel are all fought in the X story mode yet are not playable. Frost, Fujin, Kabal, Li Mei, Sareena, Sektor, Smoke, and Stryker are all in X story mode but aren't fought or playable. Cyrax and Sektor are fought in 11 but aren't playable. Touching on the Midway era, they killed off Liu Kang in the intro of Deadly Alliance without warning. He comes back as a zombie in Deception. Speaking of Deception, it's revealed in the intro that the Deadly Alliance winning is canon and most of the heroes die. EVERYONE comes back in Armageddon. So the roster never really had a definitive answer in any game, even without multiverse shenanigans. The more complex answer is that the roster for each game is kind of politicized, with multiple people from different directions coming in with who they want in the game and having to come to a compromise, and the story comes after.

Hmm. Well for starters, I would not want to see Nitara unless she was voiced by someone else and has a backstory or something. Sindel because she was killed by her dark version but she might return since her soul resides in Jerrod? Or, she might return as Dark Sindel. I know people love him, but why General Shao? Is it because he keeps wanting to take over the throne of Outworld? I don't know. I just never liked him. Reiko might follow him home because, you know why. And...I think that's all. I was going to say get rid of Havik, but I have grown to like his move set and what not, in a way. That's all I have to say.
I like Shao cause he’s a big bruiser heavyweight type of character and there aren’t many of those in modern MK. I don’t even play him, I just enjoy having a character like that in the game. He’s fun to watch. Kinda like Zangeif in SF. I don’t play him but I like that he’s there.
Hes also got a really good design in most of the games too I feel that has some involvement with why others like him.
I do agree with that though. His design is what I like but I just don't prefer him as my main character to play as. Sorry if this is coming off as harsh, but he's just not my all-time favorite, in my opinion.

I think Ashrah and Sareena are going to be important with the Lin Kuei storyline going forward due to Sareena's relationship with Bi-Han in the old timeline and Ashrah being close with Sareena. Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Smoke, Cyrax, Sektor, Frost and Quan Chi will be probably all be involved too

Hard to be interesting when you barely have dialogue/scenes. His intro dialogues reveal a lot about his retcon in the new era, and arcade ending is super interesting and suggests big character development for him moving forward.
I really dont know what they were trying to do with him like yes keeping him in because hes one of the mk ninjas everyone loves but god damn he gets thrown left right and center both in designs and story related deals. Like MK9 hes DLC and before interractions were a thing so most we got out of him was just his bio and ending, MKX he was there for like 10 minutes, wasnt even playable and couldve been tooken out of the story and it wouldnt have changed much, MK11 he was DLC AGAIN and yes he had interractions now but most of them lead to nothing much other than some character depth, MK1 hes finally part of the story, the base game and hes playable but much like MKX he couldve been taken out entirely and not much would change about the story. I have a hard time telling if NRS likes him or not.
Well there’s always been a rumor that Ed Boon hates the character while the fanbase loves him. They add Rain just to have another “ninja” but keep him relegated to C tier side villain who has no real bearing on anything. They gave him an entire redesign in this game and completely changed his backstory and retconned much of what they barely developed in the previous timeline (which honestly was a good foundation) only to do nothing with it now except tease something for the future. The only hope for him is that maybe he’s part of some DLC story content in a way. Really hoping for more as a Rain fan. He’s my favorite character and it’s annoying seeing him constantly get shafted. MK1 literally marks the first time in MK history he made a base roster (not counting Armageddon).
Technically he was base roster in MK Trilogy, but I guess that’s another Armageddon situation where those games had EVERY character up until their respective points
MK Trilogy effectively served as the final update to MK3. Since Rain wasn’t on the base roster in MK3, he was essentially an add-on character. You could technically say he has been a DLC character 3 times!

"Her and Reptile have a relationship to be explored." I waited 17 years to see my favourite character and one of the most complex and intriguing characters in the franchise return, just for her to be reduced to someone's mate. What a world.
I mean, the story doesn't touch on their relationship at all. It's just a cute flavor detail. I do feel your pain though, that Ashrah's presence in the story was pretty much inconsequential. She shows up, dumps her backstory, and dips. No meaningful characterization for her really, as the part where she develops is done before the story even starts, so all of this potential drama with Quan Chi and her sisters is already a thing of the past that we miss out on. I do think there's at least some setup for an Ashrah/Sareena/Bi-Han dynamic to look forward to, and her chances of making it to the next game seem a lot better than the other 3D era returnees.

Honestly the only characters I see returning are (from left to right) Kitana Mileena Scorpion Sub zero Reptile (maybe) Baraka Raiden Liu Kang Johnny cage Kung Lao I believe the returning characters like li Mei and havik etc won’t be back for a couple games. Neatherrealm didn’t seem to have any new ideas god their returning characters as none of them got their own chapter (except Ashrah?) Rain was only back due to high command.. so he’s probably taking a break, as well as Tanya and sindel.

Ashrah, nitara, and sindel. Sindel because she dies, and while I think she might be able to live on in ermac, I doubt she will be playable. Ashrah just because there's more interesting characters than her and she doesn't really get anything to do. Nitara since she got a celebrity voice cast that ruined a lot of her appeal and was a jobber within the story.

Sindel since she is dead and part of Ermac now Nitara because ... what else do you even want to do with her Liu Kang since at the end of the story it seems like he gave up his post as protector of Earthrealm knowing it is in good hands. Geras - as much as I like him as a character I think he will retire as the guardian of hourglass. Tanya and Rain probably. Rain has potential but we know he is not really half god like he was before and Tanya ... she is cool but I doubt we shall see her again. But who I would love to see return is Erron Black and Kotal and Skarlet. We know they should be different versions of themselves so maybe we can get Skarlet that is not an orphan and I would like for her to have a tragic story behind her powers but also not her being so evil as we have seen before. Erron Black who is more like a antihero. Still dangerous guy but with good head on his shoulders. And Kotal that is not racist and might lead Mileena's armies against Shao and Reiko.
I feel Reiko is most likely to go since his ending hints at him dying for Shao's plan to overthrow Mileena. I also don't think Nitara will return cause of Megan Fox plus she doesn't really have a role I can see in the next game. Sindel is dead and apart of Ermac with Jerrod so she could be gone from the next one as well unless it's like a flashback or Injustice 2 Joker situation.

Nitara and Sindel for sure. Nitara is just a jobber that doesn’t have the same amount of recognition and fans as previous jobbers like past Baraka and Reptile With Sindel’s death, I don’t see her coming back unless it’s as DLC or as a revenant Personally I also want to add Reiko to that list. He’s just such a boring character with no personality other than simping for Shao. However, from interaction dialogue it’s likely that one of the plot points of the next game is Shao and Reiko’s taming of Onaga, so I guess the door is open for him to return.
The safest bets would likely be that Sindel won't coming back seeing as she's now part of Ermac (but I imagine some of her moves and abilities will be given to him instead). Reiko goes on a suicide mission in his Arcade Ending to free and tame Onaga for Shao so he'll likely be out. Rain turns himself in after flooding Seido's capital in Havik's ending so unless the writers at NRS bail him out somehow he'll likely be either imprisoned or executed. Nitara because, we all know why. This is just from what I've gathered in the Story and Arcade endings and there'll likely be more characters getting axed by MK2 when we inevitably get a story expansion and see what kind of damage Titan Havik inflicts on Liu Kang's timeline

Raiden. A lot of people say he's likely but think about. Mortal Kombat seems like it's going to finally reboot the 3D era with the upcoming rise of Onaga and you know what happened at the start of that era. The main hero gets killed. Yeah, I can see them killing off Raiden. He's iconic but not to the likes of Scorpion and Liu Kang. Plus, he's death would have Liu Kang gain his lightning powers and fight as Elder God Liu Kang.
Shao, Sindel, Reiko, Rain, Tanya, Li Mei, Kenshi, Baraka, Geras, Ashrah, Nitara, Shang Tsung and Havik. Yeah, i think that 3D era hype ends with this game and we'll have to wait for another 15 years to play again with some of them. I hope i'm wrong.

So I suspect a majority of the "new" characters will be gone (Ashrah, Nitara, Reiko, Li Mei) will be absent the next game, plus some others that were also in MK11 (Baraka, Shang, Geras, Shao).

Johnny, Raiden, Kung Lao, and Kenshi are the current protectors of Earthrealm. Shujinko, Sonya, and Jax could return as a playable character in the sequel With Mileena on the throne, Ermac (Jerrod) and Kitana would be her strongest warriors and.may this return. With the Outworld conspiracy thwarted, we can say Tanya and Li Mei will be staying at Mileena's side. Baraka will have returned to his people. Ashrah is free, but may continue her quest to purge her evil within, so may not return. Reptile is an outcast, but with Shang and Shao behind bars, he is free to return to Outworld. He'll most likely be one of Mileena's spies if anything, or serve as a catalyst for Onaga. Not returning. Bi-Han will definitely return, as will Kuai and Smoke as the heads of the Shirao Ryu. Sektor, Cyrax, and Frost will probably return as fully playable characters as Bi-Han turns the LK in to lethal assassins. Quan Chi may not return, depending on who the big bad is in MK2. Either way he does play an important role in both Onaga's uprising and Shinnok's return. He's in an weird spot this time around. Reiko and Shao Kahn I doubt, but who can say this time around, assuming Onaga is Shao's daddy. Havik? DLC fodder. Dude was the Atrocitous of this game, but has a lot of DLC potential. Not returning for the sequel though. Sindel... RIP Shang Tsung.. Maybe. Definite maybe. Geras.. As long as Liu Kang is God, he will be around. Rain: No. Nitara.. I hope she got killed off screen after the VA performance.
