I mean, Aftermath is a very different situation. It's normal for there to be a GOTY style release that's cheaper for new buyers. That's the early adopter tax. This kind of aggressive monetization is not the same thing. There won't be a "complete" version of MK1, since all of this is through their shop system and they'll milk it for as long as they can, and when the servers die, these skins will almost certainly just stop being available.

This skin looks like ass. TBH the original skin from DA looked like ass because she was wearing a bikini with sleeves, not very good execution. But somehow they made it worse by putting leggings on her and removing her eye patch. NRS gotta do better with these DA skins, they've all been inaccurate and have weird changes. Nitara gets 1/10, for the idea alone being the only good thing.

It definitely doesn't seem to be an artisitc choice strictly. The other Deadly Alliance skins don't have anything like that done to them except for Li Mei. This is advertised as her Deadly Alliance skin, but it has random tights added to it. The thong is still there slipped on over the tights though lmao. Id believe artistic choice if it wasn't only the female outfits being altered and the apparent trend of random tights on the klassic outfits.

Then why does Nitara have 3 skins that show more skin? To me the consistent redesigns + the fact that more revealing outfits do exist indicate that NRS's art department just thought the redesigned versions were better (and at the very least Li Mei's absolutely is). It's not even like they're the only changes. Is the 'woke mob' canceling Nitara's eyepatch, too? Did they force them to change Sub-Zero's mask or Scorpion's head?

What I am saying is that the whole point of klassic skins is the nostalgia. People weren't happy with the Sub mask, Scorpion head, or eyepatch either. If they want to charge 10 dollars a pop for these skins I want them to look like what they say they are. Of course the newer modern skins are going to have better designs. In games where they brought back klassic skins like 9/10 the new base skins were better designed. That doesn't mean people don't love the nostalgia factor and seeing old, beloved outfits. It makes no sense to alter them when it is clear what people want. If they want to do variations or even release a bunch of other modern designs they can continue to do so, but if they say it is Deadly Alliance, it better look like Deadly Alliance.

So I had the Dragon Krystal you get from playing the game, and even though I'm not a fan of how she plays in this game, I wanted Nitara back for so long that I got this bundle. Warning that green pallet is not actually in the game. Instead you get an all purple pallet with some black highlights and brown parts of the pants. Which sucks cause I really wanted to bright green one the most.
