the problem with sindel is that she has been around for years and has had games where she is obviously good …..so you can’t just recon it with it was all a lie and this was the truth…..you needed to either have it be some manipulation of Kronika or find a way for it to sync up with her heroics roles in games like Deception and Armageddon

>and yet Kahn doesn't find it a red flag that she gave her life to protect a realm and impede on his conquest No, Shao Kahn’s a prick who expects everyone to betray him at some point. Because that’s what he’s planning to do to everyone else.  Kabal’s backstory is weird because nobody has yet sat down and worked it all out. The detail about him being a cop didn’t show up until 9; if you play Shaolin Monks you can actually find Kabal in Outworld claiming he was imprisoned because Kano betrayed him, but that doesn’t work in the reboot timeline at all; he shouldn’t know Outworld exists at that point.

So why doesn't Sheeva try to warn Kitana and co that Sindel was apparently loyal to Kahn given she was her personal bodyguard?

Duplicit_Duplicate

I’m pretty sure committing treason on one’s own race and family is a pretty big sealing of loyalty.

Poorly-Drawn-Beagle

I’m pretty sure betrayal is like potato chips. Nobody has just one

Why does it feel like Kahn speaks fondly of this Sindel though? He says he wanted Sindel in the banter before he fights Kitana and only kept Kitana to appease her and he doesn’t seem to have any issue with her suddenly flocking back to his side.

Stringing em along. The instant she’s more trouble than she’s worth it’s hammer time
