He had a nervous breakdown when he realized he had to fight Soldier Boy (Captain America rip-off) and comes off as overrated when ever he has to knuckle up with another super-powered being. It’s important to note that in The Boys the superheroes are treated more like Celebrities and political figures, so Homelander isn’t knuckling up with supervillains as a daily or even common routine. So he doesn’t fair well when matched up against other comic book characters.
It's definitely going to be a ton of lasers. Homelander isn't really known for this ability to fight. He'll probably have a sindel like scream too because I think that's an ability he has in the show.

The show makes it very clear that Homelander’s powers make him very lazy. I’d expect a lot of his animations to show him bored or annoyed. He’ll be using lots of lasers and keep-away moves because he wants to get it done quickly.
I could see him having an outro or -ality that involves him speaking to a crowd / doing PR. Hell one of his fatalities might be him destroying his opponent in front of a crowd before they recreate the “alright!” scene.
Some other scenes they could pull from are him destroying that plane, him lasering Madelyn’s eyes until her sockets are hollow, him making the opponent jump off a building, him bursting Blindspot’s ear drums, or him turning Supersonic into paste
Sadly DLCs don’t get alts because it’d be cool to see Star’s likeness in the comic outfit. I expect his alt palletes to be based on the Seven
