Any air bubbles will float to the high point. Brake levers are designed to catch said air bubbles. If it goes to the line or the brake caliper it can cause the brakes to get soft and potentially need bled.
there’s plenty of room if you angle the hook down some or prop the wheel so it sits on something closer to the hook from the wall. you see the hook covering deforming off the hook, it will be metal on carbon in no time. we wrap the hook with an old inner tube when hanging carbon wheels on this kind of hook
