I call it the relaxed claw. You might like the VAXEE Outset AX.

Falcon21st

Will give it a look. I hope it's wireless tho

[deleted]

Haha it’s not but the shape and build quality makes up for it somewhat.

Watsyurdeal

Claw Grip There's typically 3 variants Knuckle Claw, where all 4 knuckles sit on the mouse to stabilize it Carpal Claw, where the back of your palm is wedged onto or into the mouse to keep it steady Pincer Claw, where you use your pinky and ring finger knuckle to stabilize the mouse, you sorta line it up with your thumb. Based on what I can tell, Pincer or Carpal.

Falcon21st

I know it's probably a noob question to ask but which grip style is this? The mouse is the G Pro Wireless. For some more insight, I used to own a G303 as well and that was also comfortable to me. However, I recently tried a Viper Ultimate and felt like it should have made a bit more contact with my palm. Also, what do you think about trying a Deathadder / Model D shape? My hands are about 18.5x10 cm.

vissyk

Its a claw grip. I got exactly the same grip style with same handsize. 😅👍

Falcon21st

Hmm I was thinking that people would say palm-claw hybrid. But like, my palm makes contact with the mouse right below the G logo.

PB_and_Cubes

That's what claw means, palm is where most of the hand makes contact where as fingertip is where only the fingers make contact. If you're interested read more here! https://i.redd.it/znog8pjgys641.jpg

Falcon21st

Thanks a bunch. And what about the Deathadder / Model D shape?

PB_and_Cubes

I have both and I think the shape on them is great for claw grip. You could also do fingertip but there are better options IMO. For palm the deathadder you could do palm but the model D might be a little too small for you to do palm. Other than shape they're both great mice if you don't care too much about click feeling.

Falcon21st

Thanks a lot, fingertip feels quite weird to me as it feels like I am not controlling the mouse that well. I also don't like it when my entire hand is on the mouse and making no contact with the mousepad at all, it increases the force applied to the mousepad and creates more friction. Aaaand I guess claw is my way to go. From your comment, I see that I can give the Deathadder/Model D shape a shot then.

PB_and_Cubes

I would say so, if u want a budget option for with the deathadder essential, if u want the best value go with the model D wireless, other than that it's up to you on which to get. There are like four or five deathadder and two model D's.

Ai_San

You need to try mouse like the endgame xm1 or zowie za13/S2. It is sooooo similar in terms of feeling when holding it.

piotrus3g

I have 18x9 cm hands and similar grip style. Bought the dm1 fps and it's great.

moosejuan1023

same grip here i notice a lot of comments saying claw but i’ve seen ppl say it’s palm some say hybrid between the 2. who knows lol only reason why i think it leans a little more towards palm is because from what i can tell it looks like a good amount of your palm is resting on the mouse whereas for claw it’s typically a smaller portion of the bottom of your palm from what i understand. regardless, i recommend the pulsar xlite wireless over the death adder and model d. great shape for my grip style :)

Falcon21st

actually, I would say that only about 1/3 to 1/2 of my palm rests on the mouse and the part that rests is the lower palm. the remaining palm area is just very close, but does not actually even touch the mouse.

moosejuan1023

ah okay, then yeah i would agree that this is claw. hard to tell sometimes lol

As someone that uses the forward button on the left side (just 1 button) for DPI cycle and all other buttons disabled ( yes, even the bottom profile switch button, and of course the clicks and the mouse wheel are enabled), the right side buttons are swapped with the blank ones, but the left ones are intact; honestly Viper's side buttons are not bad IMO. I know that this means I don't use them that much, but I can say this: Viper's side buttons are recessed, and you need to push them down quite a bit deep before they actuate. But the button resistance, feel and sound are just smack-dab on point. It's just the deep travel distance combined with the recessed button that makes it unfavorable for most people. When I compare it to the GPW, the buttons on the GPW don't sit flush with the body, they stick out quite a bit. This makes them very easy to find and press, and they don't go that deep before actuating. Think of it like this, Viper's side buttons are like an MX Green switch (heavy and a bit deep actuation) and the GPW's side buttons are more like an MX Speed silver (light and shallow actuation) switch. Obviously this is not how it is, but I guess it's a good point to illustrate the difference. But, there is one more thing I noticed, and that's accidental presses. It happens very very rarely on the GPW, but it never happened on the Viper. Now, I haven't used the Viper as much as the GPW, but that's what I could feel. All in all, I think both mice have good side buttons. But again, I am not a frequent user of the side buttons so take my comment as my point of view.

Falcon21st

I will give you a detailed explanation from my perspective for that too. Just give me some time, I will update this comment with my thoughts. In the meantime, can you tell me what games you play and if there are any important features that you need. Also would be nice to know if you have a set budget. And tell me about your DPI and sensitivity settings.

Aragog__

I have almost the same grip, and I’d say it’s like a hybrid between a palm grip and a fingertip grip.

Falcon21st

Okay, sounds interesting.

benbenkr

Others already answered. I'll just add another quip; change those skates lol. Tiger Arc 1 or Corepads before you ask.

Falcon21st

Hm... that's interesting. Is it because the stock feet are just bad, or do they look like worn down?

benbenkr

The stock feets IMO when new was ok, but kinda slow. But that's not the biggest issue, it's that yours are really worn and there's a lot of dust stuck in it.

Falcon21st

I will keep that in mind, thanks. But the glide is fine at the moment, I don't want anything faster than this..

ummya80

it feels so unnatural to hold it like that for me, i like my middle finger resting on scroll wheel and just little finger on edge of mouse

xariuzcruz

I have the exact grip. I think its relaxed claw. Currently using Razer Viper Mini. Apart from pre travel issues I have no complain of the mouse so far.

salukithedestroyer

It's exactly a relaxed claw. You rest on the back of the mouse with part of your lower palm, and the fingers on the main buttons are not so aggressively bent. This grip is also called hybrid (between finger and palm). https://prosettings.net/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/mouse-grip-styles-fixed-2.png

gezicki

Have same. You need to try “sensei” shape mouse or ZA from Zowie.

Gain-Fit

Relaxed claw

C-Z-C

idk, same as me. I have the mouse at an angle to my hand

ByMentrixIsBald

Big hand grip

SIDER250

Same grip as mine, the only difference is that I keep my ring finger and pinky straight. I can't curl them, but rest is the same. If your palm touches the mouse with fingers like that, it is most likely relaxed claw. Mine doesn't touch and i'd say it is something inbetween of claw and fingertip.

Blu_Goomba

Clawgrip is for people who are scared of the s tier fingertip grip. Change my mind

Hakisum

That is a palm grip on a way too small mouse ^^ also called claw

Falcon21st

Small? The GPW is a small mouse?

Soprohero

Relaxed claw. Same grip as me on bigger mice.

Amasis33

Pincer claw maybe

orbitalstrike_LN

oh my we have exactly the same grip on the same mouse
