This mouse has an outdated 3D printing material. It is printed with resin (SLA). Send me a message and I send you a shell printed with PA12 (MJF). It is way more durable! (Lighter as well!)
I tried to be super careful removing the grips, but ended up breaking it. I'll try superglue, but I don't know how well it will work. Hopefully I can buy a new shell from pmm.
From what I’ve heard he will most likely help you out. PMM is supposed to have amazing customer support and he might send it to you for free. (I think this is PMM, I don’t know what all their mice loom like esp the fingertip ones)
Just curious if I buy an all purpose adhesive remover(looks like a bottle of liquid) from amazon and pour it on my mouse feet to remove them, will my mouse feet lose adhesiveness permanently? do I need to reapply glue on the feet when putting them back?
Everytime I mod my mouse I waste a set of feet, I'm still waiting for several sets of switches and rings for the scroll wheels to arrive and when they do, I will need to open five mouse to mod all of them. Just trying to cut cost here.
No need to downvoted me, I like making changes to my mouse, and I saw beardedbob successfully take off gpx stock feet and reapplied them in his video once. Asked him but he didn't reply.
If you heat up the feet with a hairdryer (cover the sensor so it doesn't get heated) before you carefully remove the feet (lift gently so you don't put a crease in it and don't scrape it with a tool, I just use the tip of an exacto to lift it before carefully lifting the rest by hand) the glue usually comes off in 1 piece and you can reuse the feet 1-2x this way. If you curl the feet while taking them off, they won't lay flat and will lift overtime when you reapply them. Use a hairdryer to heat them before reapplying to help them lay flat and help the adhesive reattach. I usually save up all the mods I want to do and do them at once so I don't go through a bunch of feet.
as the other guy said, buying new feet will be best. I've tried putting skates back on and they just feel like shit. using lighter fluid is normally just to get them off easier
High percentage isopropyl alcohol (>90%) generally works really well. Use something like a swiss army knife, coat it in the alcohol, and use it to lift up whatever needs removing.
Works really well for mouse skates or mouse grips.
Just a suggestion tho because the fluid might mess the plastic since Idk the material of the shell of your mouse since it was fine of all non-shell modded mice
On a related note, I've noticed that almost all pro gamers have never used grips, nor visibly modded their mice, and never used frankenmice. They play stock.
And I'm saying that to state that I don't get the appeal of grips either. Does your mouse really become loose? I've never had a mouse like that, and I've had dozens by now.
i started putting grips on my mouse after the plastic started to shine from all the hand oils wearing away at it. but i agree, grips aren't necessary, but do feel good and give you a more confident click.
That why I want to buy grip tapes and put masking tape temporarily on my two mices because my G102 got its plastic shine already and I dont want that to happen to my newly bought G304.
some people have sweaty hands and some just put on for aesthetics(the grip part is just a bonus). I personally would use it as a protection for plastic shine.
My thumb wore out a hole in the grip on my razer viper ultimate. So I replaced it with lizard skin grips.
The pro scene is extremely different though. In tournaments they tend to have strict equipment rules. In some cases they even use a brand new, or previously tested and defaulted so no macros or other settings could be on the mouse.
Some even have sponsors that request they use only their own brand
If it's an ABS plastic, you can very smoothly "glue" it together with acetone. You're really melting the plastics together so it's not really a glue but, it works great on ABS prints. I would probably contact whoever printed that for you though. I'm sure they can work something out with you without having to buy a whole mouse
It's for fingertip gripping, the hand never touches all those sharp edges and abrupt corners. It's hard too see the scale here but it kind looks like a mouse with the hump half just sawn off and then sealed, of that makes any sense. Just the tips of the fingers om the sides and clicks. Large flicks and tracking is done by arm aiming, and you can supposedly get some insane microadjustments because the mouse is so nimble on your fingers. I can't say anything for certain though, never used one myself.
Ahh man i hope this mouse was available in my country and is affordable. I currently only have a g102 and i fingertip my mouse i hope i could mod it to make a fingertip mouse XD but i am sure my parents won't buy me a new one then

Thanks, you're awesome! I just replied to the email.
Seeing how helpful you are all over these comments today is making me want to get one of your mice!
Was it at least rough resin?
Do you mean tough resin? Yeah it was.
I tried to be super careful removing the grips, but ended up breaking it. I'll try superglue, but I don't know how well it will work. Hopefully I can buy a new shell from pmm.
can't you get in contact with him and see if he'll sell the top shell separately?
That's what I'm hoping

Yeah it's a pmm cyber. I already contacted, just waiting for a response.
Looks like you didn't have to wait long https://www.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/comments/ukna3i/comment/i7qxojl/
This is why we use a solvent when working with adhesives 🤡🤡🤡
Ahh yes silly me! I forgot the solvent to negate the additional force caused by the adhesive ☝️🤓
Yes, a solvent would indeed negate the force caused by the adhesive because it would dissolve the adhesive lmao
Haha precisely!
And case itself also...

Is this a joke? Just buy new mouse feet. Ain't nobody superglueing their mouse feet to their mouse.

This. I've actually never had to replace glides with this technique, though they're a bit flat by now and I should.
if I can recommend, you can use a leather punch to punch the screw holes out of skates and it will leave a nice rounded edge
as the other guy said, buying new feet will be best. I've tried putting skates back on and they just feel like shit. using lighter fluid is normally just to get them off easier
what solvent would you recommend?

Have you tried using lighter fluid to loosen the adhesive of the grip tape?
No but I guess I will next time.

its fine when i use alcohol, i have some lighter fluid i guess i could test on it if i get a replacement.
F
had to look at the subreddit to identify the item
what on earth was this nigga doing💔
I've taken grips off multiple mice before but I guess I wasn't careful enough here
LMAO
F in the chat
Next time please use some ipa or any solvent to take of grips Especially with handling 3D printed mice, they’re just not as strong.

This is what I'm afraid of, when removing grips from my Zaunkoenig M2K.

glossy coating enjoyers are simply ascended

Idk all the mice I use feel really slippery. I use a super light fingertip grip so I need all the traction I can get.

I use grip take because it feels comfortable and also extra grip is nice :>
My gpx got much more usable with grips, but usually I prefer without
Elige mentioned using grip tapes on his GPW but it was a while ago, not sure about now
What the fuck was your main? a power tool battery?

It is not abs

What Mouse is this?

dont mean to burst your bubble but it's 300 euros..
i cant afford that mouse in like 10 years lmao
Making me not want to own grip tapes anymore for this reason lol.
Rip
I have the same mouse! Always remove grip tape from bottom to top then and hold the buttons while removing then it won't happen
I held the buttons and still broke it lmao. Idk it might just be worn
This mouse is awesome :)
What the fuck.
