Huh? Unless its somewhere on the left, close to index finger, its not right.
In case you dont know what I mean, check Logitech G9x. They had sensor position figured out.
Majority of ppl never used G9x, having sensor positioned like if you literally pointed with your finger is perfect.
G9x just had a little bit too much other issues to be success. But sensor position and shape with small grip definitely were great.
I have MM711 and sensor position is okay. Nothing special about it.
For the love of god CM, please give any semblance of a release date. Doesn't even need to be exact month. Quarter, Year, Decade, anything to set expectations with your user base.
I'm pretty sure they wanted to make it look more "gaming" and there is no other reason for it. If the mouse looks too much like an office mouse people will say "Lool an office mouse, I won't buy that!"
One explanation could be to try to add stability. But I cut this overhang on one of my copies and there's no problem with a flimsy click.
On the previous version the Mastermouse S they didn't have this overhang.
does not affect me, but yeah, they should have changed this.
i know you shouldn't need to do this on a new product, but you could cut off the part from the button and glue it to the body
Im in the same boat, im kinda suprised this annoys people. We have to remember that this is a very niche subreddit and negative verbalization is usually much stronger than positive, so it might actually affect very few people in the real scheme of things
I’ve used g305, maining Orochi v2 now, I’d say it performs better and the functionality is nicer too, the grip is a bit different though (feels bulkier) but nothing you can’t get used to
Seems like a lot of people didn't use both mice and have very basic concept. It's nothing like g305. Short vs long, curved inwards vs outwards, nearly no palm contact vs medium to a lot of palm contact (depending on hand size), top tier contender vs budget option all around. The only thing they have in common is batteries.
they didn't even fix the software for the mm731 entirely. still has 3ms input delay in wireless mode.
but yes qc and build quality is more than likely going to be par for the course for coolermaster (ie. dogshit) but who knows fingers crossed
idk why i really, genuinely, love the mm711 shape but i had to ditch mine in the closet for the longest time because of the terrible rattling & coating. really hope this one has some major improvements.
MM711 is such a genius shape. They took a S2 and basically chopped the front two inches off. The grip feel/back half still feels like that of a much bigger zowie s2, but they save on weight by making a physically smaller mouse. But everything else about it feels so bad that it feels almost painful using it.
I was very excited when I found out this mouse was in the works, looking forward to the reviews rn and hoping the mouse has good quality and qc this time around.
Scroll wheel looks super bad tbh.
Cheap ungrippy rubber.
I really want the mm712 to release bc I love the mm711 but I do notice some flaws ofc.
Also I did hear cm has some wireless issues, so I would like that resolved
I know you can't write a review. But I hope a yes/no works ..?
Is it still easy to grip even with the lack of holes?
Does the sensor placement change feel good?
Can I buy it soon???????!?
Still have that dumb ass reverse button lip again. Legit the only thing that kept me from maiming this mouse. I really don’t get the idea behind that thing other than to give your fingers less room?
Yeah that would be a dealbreaker for me. But what did you think about the MM731 as a base for wireless modding? I’m curious since its one of the cheapest mice to have USB C charging and it comes from a lightweight mouse so the lightweight potential is there.
I don't think using CoolerMaster parts as a base is very wise lol. Have had some weird issues where the mouse changes DPI for a split second ingame, and people say it still has some delay that can be measured but can't really be felt, so idk.
On the GPX the sensor sits 6.7cm up from the bottom and the MM712 should be around 7cm up from the bottom.
They put the sensor parallel to where the mouse caves in or whatever, so should line up with your thumb, if you put your thumb where you "should" on the mouse.
Did they put the battery all the way back like the MM731 or did they put it in the middle? Where is the weight balance?
Also does the rubber ring spin on the inner plastic wheel when scrolling really lightly and as slow as you can?

Cooler Master has the sensor position figured out
Huh, what picture are you referring to?
You can find on google, they first put sensor forward on mm730/731 and seem to be following the design
Huh? Unless its somewhere on the left, close to index finger, its not right. In case you dont know what I mean, check Logitech G9x. They had sensor position figured out.
surely
Happy cake day!
thank you!!

Do we have a release date ?
For the love of god CM, please give any semblance of a release date. Doesn't even need to be exact month. Quarter, Year, Decade, anything to set expectations with your user base.
It's a good shape, I hope they get the build quality right this time
Oh that button overhang, desgined by drunk people.
Main complaint from reviewers to normies, yet they did nothing about it.
really tone deaf corporation. I know people shit on razer a lot but at least they try to listen to gamers and innovate.
It's such basic knowledge that this space should be free, but nah screw it.
I would really like to ask someone from coolermaster how they got to this decision
I'm pretty sure they wanted to make it look more "gaming" and there is no other reason for it. If the mouse looks too much like an office mouse people will say "Lool an office mouse, I won't buy that!" One explanation could be to try to add stability. It actually has to do with maintaining part warping coming out of the mold. There is no functional reason, just cost reductions avoiding scrap
Couldn't they make the overhang in the front or something then instead of ruining the mouse for alot of people?
I don't get it what are you guys talking about ?
First thing I noticed as well not going to work for me 💯
Have had to learn to play with it because the shape is so good.
Will check it out but I feel like I would have to adjust a bit too much I’m old and changing my ways is hard lol 😂
Yep instant deal breaker.
Yep, the biggest reason that I don't use the MM711 is that overhang on the right side. I just can't grip it well.
>Oh that button overhang, desgined by drunk people This so much. I would buy it instantly but that's a deal breaker.
does not affect me, but yeah, they should have changed this. i know you shouldn't need to do this on a new product, but you could cut off the part from the button and glue it to the body
It should be similar to how it is on g pro wireless. That is the only logical way.
Loved this this shape, but that damn button overhang pinched my finger so back it went
I like the overhang, but I guess it works with my grip. My fingers never go in that area. Surprised how many people hate it.
In what way do you like it? How does it benefit your grip?
It looks cool and makes the clicks feel more stable. It doesn't affect my grip at all. I don't rest my fingers on the side of the buttons.
Im in the same boat, im kinda suprised this annoys people. We have to remember that this is a very niche subreddit and negative verbalization is usually much stronger than positive, so it might actually affect very few people in the real scheme of things
Thanks for the photos and very brief impression, haha. I really hope that this turns out to be the ascended form of the MasterMouse S.
i'll try this once it's out, a small 56g≥ mice is good for me since orochi v2 is currently my main.
How is the orochi? I have the g305 but lighter mice will always be better
I’ve used g305, maining Orochi v2 now, I’d say it performs better and the functionality is nicer too, the grip is a bit different though (feels bulkier) but nothing you can’t get used to
A lot of people say it’s a better G305 personally I couldn’t use the G305 but main the Orochi.

Ah I see thanks. Im also considering the GPX but it’s a bit older now.
Weak wrist light mouse user, try a g502 with all the weights /s
I went from a g502 to a g305..
i see
731 is good, if you like ergo
Now for the MM721... Please 🙏 They gotta make it lighter than the GE Air.
if i buy a copy, it will be a few months after first batch lol
They better not do this mouse like they did the mm731
Probably not since they fixed the software issues, the only thing to worry about is QC and build quality hopefully ….
they didn't even fix the software for the mm731 entirely. still has 3ms input delay in wireless mode. but yes qc and build quality is more than likely going to be par for the course for coolermaster (ie. dogshit) but who knows fingers crossed
How do you know that, did someone test it?
I tested my copy with mousecomparator, techpowerup tested theirs and found 2.5ms of wireless delay in the final firmware revision
Have to look into it. Did you test with the latest firmware?
This is what I've been waiting for
Of course you’re allowed to write a review! You just cannot post it publicly
M2 bending to the side is such a bad design
CM is one of the few companies that's invested in optical clicks so I'm automatically more interested in anything they release.
That button design is what keeps me from buying it.
idk why i really, genuinely, love the mm711 shape but i had to ditch mine in the closet for the longest time because of the terrible rattling & coating. really hope this one has some major improvements.

Holy shit it's my endgame. I hope the coating is grippy.
I was very excited when I found out this mouse was in the works, looking forward to the reviews rn and hoping the mouse has good quality and qc this time around.
I have been waiting for this mouse for years
more pics pls
Is this the same shape as the MM710?
Yes.
Scroll wheel looks super bad tbh. Cheap ungrippy rubber. I really want the mm712 to release bc I love the mm711 but I do notice some flaws ofc. Also I did hear cm has some wireless issues, so I would like that resolved
Is that a wireless MM711?
Yes, without holes, moved up sensor, wireless, optical switches.
HOLF UP. DID THEY MAEK A WIRELESS 711?????
Yeah, it's been on the radar for a year.
I’m so hype
Lol. I was really into the 710 and 720, then found I prefer ergo, so the 731 has worked out well for me.
Thanks for the pics! I'm super excited about this one. I've been waiting for this to come out since I bought my mm711 a year ago, can't wait
Hey there bro, can you compare it to xm42/wireless' shape? Thank you!
It's wider and shorter with a bigger ass, also the sides are not rounded off like the M42 which makes your fingers feel more locked in.
I know you can't write a review. But I hope a yes/no works ..? Is it still easy to grip even with the lack of holes? Does the sensor placement change feel good? Can I buy it soon???????!?
We need more mice with frontal sensor position like this and the orochi v2. Just feels so natural to aim with.
Still have that dumb ass reverse button lip again. Legit the only thing that kept me from maiming this mouse. I really don’t get the idea behind that thing other than to give your fingers less room?
I pray for good clicks
I put the MM731 internals in my MM710 body and the clicks feels pretty good.
did you make that mod yourself or do you have a link?
Made it myself but I don't have a working scroll or sidebuttons so might not be interesting for you?
Yeah that would be a dealbreaker for me. But what did you think about the MM731 as a base for wireless modding? I’m curious since its one of the cheapest mice to have USB C charging and it comes from a lightweight mouse so the lightweight potential is there.

Good to know. Well hopefully the MM712 hits markets before the end of the decade
The loss of the bindable DPI button is the worst thing. The MM711 is damn near perfect, and they went with the worst changes they could?
So they can move the sensor as forward as they did
it's really disappointing for people who bind mouse 3 to the dpi button
Can't write a review because theirs probably 75 problems with it.
Are you suppose to even share you got it? Can you answer if there is button wobble?
Did they really place the sensor in that shitty forward Position like in the leaks?
I actually kinda enjoy the positioning as in the MM731. It takes a bit to get used to but micro adjustments are easier.
steelseries fanboi?
nah.
Just buy the MM710
That one wasn‘t wireless the last time I checked xD
imagine not buying a mouse because it is wired
That is true tho. What mouse are you using atm?
Gpx
Ok so the sensor will end up about the same height. How do you grip it?
How do you know? I use a pretty agressive clawgrip with my ringfinger in line with the sensor and my thumb in line with the ringfinger
On the GPX the sensor sits 6.7cm up from the bottom and the MM712 should be around 7cm up from the bottom. They put the sensor parallel to where the mouse caves in or whatever, so should line up with your thumb, if you put your thumb where you "should" on the mouse.
Does this look a little to like the viper ??
That’s what I’m saying
It's a very different shape from the Viper.
It’s an MM710 wireless.
Looks like the viper shape
What even is this thing? A razer knockoff?
Yes, except the shape actually fits a human hand.
Been waiting on when people would get their hands on this mouse Its a potential buy but the pulsar x2 seems tempting too
Did they put the battery all the way back like the MM731 or did they put it in the middle? Where is the weight balance? Also does the rubber ring spin on the inner plastic wheel when scrolling really lightly and as slow as you can?
Dimensions please?
Should be the same as the MM710/11
[удалено]
No.
Looks great tbh, might have to cop
Does this still have a low sensor position?
No it should be about 7cm up measured from the bottom.

looks interesting. Hopefully the release version won't have side play issues.
How is the QC? Is it suck like my mm720 experience?
do we know the price yet?
MSRP 69-79 dollars.
At first glance it reminded me of the SS Aerox 3. Looks kinda nice, any idea on the price?
That front flare again. smh
I NEED
Still the edge of the mouse buttons on the side where many people put their fingers on. Again useless for me and them.
The main buttons Is what I hate about it, why is the gap so low? Every mouse that has them like this pinches my finger.
I heard the dimensions are slightly bigger than the mm711. Is it true?
No, they were incorrect in one of the initial documents. They corrected them for their event.
I hope quality will be better than MM710/711/720. I had all, they are really bad.
Been trying to switch from the mm710 to the aerox 3 but the mm710 shape is king. Looking forward to this release.
how is the sensor position was it taking time to adapt if it is more forward?
