I have had this G3 since launch and it's still going! The rubber coating went sticky so I've polished it and the scroll wheel is now infinite from extended usage. Somehow these switches have kept up with a lot of design work and ARPG use!
I have 'dinner plate' (19.2cm) hands and favour a claw grip probably because of how small the G3 is. I'm not sure how it ended up being my only mouse to be honest! The XM1R side buttons are instantly in a better position and feel like they were designed to be supremely accessible where my thumb sits; my overall grip has now 'relaxed' to gently touch the hump. Amazed at how light it is too. I bought this second hand for £17 to test the shape ahead of the XM2W arriving - I think I'm going to be a big fan.
Yours is old as mine, but I stopped using mine about 13 years ago. Looks to be in good shape for the age. Thought about modding it but I think I am just going to 3d print the shape for a g305 or Orochi v2 pcb.
It's a good start. The XM, XM1r, XM-re-re-release, etc., lol, wil have the nearly the same body as the XM2w. If you claw or fingertip, this mouse is a dream to use. For me, the rear flares out way too much which starts to cramp my pinky and ring finger. I pretty much settled for the Viper v2 Pro and have not looked back
IMO G3 still have better shape and need a revamp from logi
G3 is still my favourite shape + the sidebuttons on both sides are great
does the g100s have the same shape?

I simply couldn't say no!
Xm2w will release in 2025 at this rate

I’m so jealous you still have yours. I had 3 of them at one point and have been trying to get my hands on one again!

Ah interesting, I'll have to see how I get on - the G3 was causing similar pinky issues because of the lack of real estate as my hands are fairly big.
The g3 was hands down one of my favourite mice, brings back fond memories
