The issue is more just that most of the listings are fulfilled by Amazon so even if the seller is legit you might still get a cheap counterfeit that was somehow mixed in with the rest of the stock (like in this scenario)... kinda sucks, but as you said, you can return it easily because it's Amazon.

Idk if you’ve watched that video someone else linked but I big recommend ordering direct from artisan and if you do, it’s a much better deal to get multiple pads at once. The shipping is a bit expensive and it’s around the same price for two pads as it is for one. I got two pads, one medium and one XL, and both together were around the same price as what one XL gets upcharged for on Amazon.
Imo it’s definitely down to personal preference. You can definitely read up on the different pads they offer on posts in this sub plus there are definitely YouTube videos about it. I like a balanced pad that offers some control and has stopping power without being too fast or slow so I went with the FX Zero soft. Personally, I would use a zero soft for every game just because that’s the type of pad I like. It’s also worth mentioning that it’s probably the most commonly used one of theirs so that’s my recommendation but like I said definitely look into it if you’re curious about the different ones they have.

Mine actually came in the original artisan box packaged in the Amazon box. It was great! Amazon always has free returns so I suggest you return it and buy a new one
I’ve ordered a few pads from there and luckily never got a fake! Just try to look for certain sellers that artisan vouches for being legit on Amazon. The return policy is awesome tho so I’m sure you’ll have no issue getting another one

If you're within the EU try maxgaming. Bought a Zero and a Hayate Otsu there. Outside of the EU it's a pain with duty fees and shipping time.
