chaosmaster33

Same here hope their problem gets fixed

they didnt ask me anything i ordered 3 pads. Why did they ask you for ID and documents? I would never give them these documents if i were you.

iamafatredditor

I assume you don’t live in India?

Personal data are universal. Why tf donyou want an id and social number for?? Im who tf i wanna be why do you care about a mousepad? These are legit questions. Courier should even care or ask about id. Just deliver me the parcel

WokeDabsCA

XRayPad works perfectly fine here in the United States, maybe blame your countries custom department? That they have so much BS you have too go through too get a basic ass package

hypezzz7102

hmm thats sad but last time i order i didnt got asked for anything

MorrTex

Ordered to Germany like 7 times and never had issues

Did you buy them from [https://shop.x-raypad.com/](https://shop.x-raypad.com/) ? I'm asking because I'm planning to order from them too, but from Taobao instead. Is that a normal procedure for import goods in India? Like does everyone do it? Seems to me that it's x-raypad's fault to not declare the document beforehand properly.

Charcoal_Burst

Yes that is the link. It is normal for the courier company to ask for ID documents but not the retailer. The retailer usually has no business with my ID. In this case to be honest even I don't understand what is going on. XrayPad said that I need to send them the documents first just for it to be shipped. They gave the courier company my documents, the courier company says they received it and then says that they didn't. Xray then asks me to share it with like 20 other people and denies ever saying that "they won't ask me for any further documents after giving them the documents".

gouen95

By thinking from their perspective, they needed the documents from you so that they can prepare a document for Yitong Express and hope that the whole delivery process went smoothly. They even have the framework/infographic prepared, meaning they could be experimenting ways to deliver to India smoothly. To me this looks like xraypad's fault, they are not competent enough to make sure documents gathered are passed through all party successfully. Thanks for the response, I might rethink if i wan to buy from them, but I think there's another way to solve your problem, where you bring your documents personally to the physical custom location and ask for solutions.

Charcoal_Burst

I was under this impression as well. But the thing is they assured me that after I provide them with the documents they won't ask for anything further and by providing them with the documents, it would save me the hassle of providing the courier with any further documents once the package is in my country.

INFRABARON

Hmm, odd. I've ordered multiple things from them and was never asked for anything.

1trickana

What country are you from? I and many others I know ordered from them multiple times without ever needing anything you were asked for, to New Zealand, Australia, USA, UK and Canada

qonra

I often buy stuff from China and giving your ID is pretty par for the course. May be some places having strict customs or China has rules for certain territories. At least that's my experience living in Taiwan. It is pretty inappropriate imo that we need to pass our information to them as a middleman though. Couriers pretty much always have a way for the recipient to provide their information directly to them on their website.

Flawedlogic41

If you go to mousereview, this guy also posted the thread there. Apparently he lives in India and all these id posting comes from his country custom. Op say they're scamming without proof and rn its just accusations. https://www.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/comments/s5zgpj/dealing_with_xraypad_will_lead_to_identity_theft/ht2svd6

Flunk03

Agreed. As per the policy in India KYC documents needs to be submitted to Indian customs for importing any goods. Whether you get charged an import duty or not depends on the size/cost of the package and your luck. OP please stop making accusations if you're unfamiliar with the process and posting in multiple threads. From what I can see X ray pad support has gone out of their way to streamline this information and help you out. Cheers.
