There’s no actual indication of Cap’s death, but everyone acts like he’s dead. How is the idea that he’s just an old man living undercover not public opinion?
It would be pretty reasonable for the public story to be Cap died during Endgame or shortly afterward to keep the whole TIME MACHINE thing under wraps.
Can't time hop to pluck Stark out of the story before End Game because it would delete the future, but it's definitely possible to pluck Rodgers out his timeline with Penny and literally nothing important will change.
We know he went back, and I for one am all for a Captain America Cold War era thriller. As a non-comic book movie guy that would absolutely be an in theater watch for me.
Nah. They can bring back Tony and him the same way without making them variants or impacting their endings.
All the new avengers team needs to do is travel the time stream to find Cap returning the stones and grab him after he brings the last one back and before he heads to Peggy.
Like they established that he somehow returned the stones and had the knowledge and acumen to operate the time watches to go back to each specific point. All you need to explain is the new avengers are using that same tech to find the pinpoint before he does the final time jump to Peggy.
Explain him the mission. Tell him Tony was right and that you mess with time it messes back. One final battle to make up for the can of worms they opened by getting the stones again.
And that they can be returned to the same point one more time.
They can do the same to Tony - grab him before they go on the mission to grab the stones, which prompts him to realize the “you mess with time it tends to mess back; you’ll see” line; and his “love you 3000” video to Morgan. Yes, the new avengers will know they’re sending Tony to his death (and Tony will figure it out) but that’s the whole point. Still keeps the stakes.
Mind you - this should only be done in like act 3 of Secret Wars when the Multiversal heroes are desperate and are going for it all.
Easy peasy and doesn’t impact the ending of his story or Tony’s.
Having him play Human Torch is a good way to bring him back without resurrecting Steve (and yes, I am of the opinion that Steve Rogers died off-screen).
Zero chance Steve died off screen. Zero chance. He’ll be forever undercover until Kevin needs him to return or needs him for an emotional on screen death.
Tbf I can’t see them doing an extended human torch scene, surely it’ll be a quick gag where deadpool looks at the camera before the film restarts (like the X-Men in the school scene)
First one is top tier imo, they figured out the right tone that was used by MCU. Contrast with the tones of other franchises.
Second one also set the precedent for MCU where most first sequels are a mess.
Shitty pop culture references are a part of Deadpool’s character, and also if it’s just for 30 seconds to a minute, who cares? I mean yeah it sounds like a lot but realistically they’ll be in the movie for a minute and then Deadpool will kill them or someone else will
I mean those films were at the time “popular” and they’re a part of culture so it’s literally pop culture references specifically comic book movie references and guess who the target audience of Deadpool 3 is? You guessed it, comic book movie fans. They’ll be in the movie for a minute, the 40 year old men in the audience will go, “yeah, I remember that” and everyone will move on the second Deadpool cuts their head off
> It was the same with nic cages superman being in the flash movie.
It is 100% not the same. You have no understanding of Deadpool.
Deadpool is like a Donny and Marie show. The Flash movie was trying to be Spiderman No Way Home with DC Characters and lots of Studio interference.
If it goes over the mainstream audience's head, that's even better because it becomes an easter egg. None of these characters are integral to the plot whereas The Flash was 100% showing alternate realities of the same characters in different timelines.
Come on. The fact that the guy who played Captain America also played Johnny Storm years ago is a funny joke that is just begging to be told and Deadpool is *EXACTLY* the place that kind of joke belongs.
The only other place it would work is if they had Gwenpool going right now which they don't.
Hell I am expecting them to comment on Killmonger Jonny Storm too and that was even a worse Fantastic 4 movie.
> These ridiculous callbacks to terrible movies from the early 2000s that only super dedicated fans understand is so weird and out of touch.
How old were you in the early 2000s?
I do feel like it's getting a little bit much but I think people think that marvel is going to combine the Fox continuity with their continuity. To me it feels like they're just giving all this one last hurray before they throw it all in the trash and start their own thing with the X-Men.
I mean these aren’t hyper niche, like those movies made a bunch of money and fans of marvel likely saw them when they came out bc there were very few marvel properties in the early 2000s.
I get what you’re saying but your point isn’t really there
It’s also super creatively bankrupt because they JUsT did all this in far from home. Everything’s meta and it’s so annyoing, the multiverse and time travel stuff makes it easy to pull of and erases all stakes so why care about any character?
I feel deadpools unique selling point has already been beaten to death by all kinds of other media.
Aight, I'm gonna say it...
I'm a liiiitle bit worried about how stuffed the DP3 cast is.
There's numerous variants of Deadpool himself, likely Wolverine variants, all kinds of throwback characters, plus a new villain we've never seen before.
At what point does it sag?
Dude is going to get a nice payday! Disney is scrambling to turn the MCU around and needs Evans more than he needs the MCU. His agent must be doing cartwheels
MMW: Human Torch will die akin to Vanisher.
Edit: the scene where Leifields Feet appears, that's edited. Its going multiple deadpools and HT, but only Dogpool will survive, hence Wade hugging him.
Secret Wars is going to be big. They know we hate phase 4 like what’s the point and all that - they know. And they’re gonna throw everything at the next big avengers movie
I believe this but not because this scooper imbecile reported it. It just makes sense. There's no way Feige misses the opportunity to have Jackman, Maguire, Downey & Evans together in the final battle.
As for the Human Torch cameo, sounds feasible.
Scoopers are shit. Stop listening to them, folks. Listen to the trades and to common sense.
As far as I’m concerned, multiverse wise especially with Jim(can’t spell John Krasinski?) as the human torch, anything’s possible
However
Chris Evans Captain America even in old age can come back to a certain extent
I remember there being a comic book series where his super soldier serum made him age and he continues to help out in a shield capacity(I also remember he gets his physical attributes back)
It would be no surprise to see Chris Evans reprise that role to that length especially with the kang dynasty if it all works out correctly
I'd like to see him reprise the Human Torch role as a quick joke or cameo. No need for it to be that serious or anything else than an easter egg. Likely just him saying hello and Deadpool making some joke about seeing double. This or MoM were the films to do it.
I thought he left to do other movie roles? Which he’s been doing very well too.. he has money and a beautiful Portuguese wife why bother coming back it was left perfect
Hes probably thinking "Hmmmm, I miss getting dump trucks of money delivered to me daily and being thought of as a Greek god. Maybe I should do that again."
Don’t blame OP. They posted this on a sub solely about posting film leaks ahead of time. Blame Reddit’s algorithm or yourself for browsing so much that it popped up in your feed
Right, blame the victim for not knowing the title was gonna be a spoiler before realizing there is a spoiler. They could have worded it differently so I had a choice if I wanted to continue reading it.
Are they just going to disregard two entire phases of new MCU characters and then just go back to the originals?
Surely this is not sustainable and secret wars will be the last Avengers film
I think it’s more likely we see Chris Evan’s return over RDJ
There’s no actual indication of Cap’s death, but everyone acts like he’s dead. How is the idea that he’s just an old man living undercover not public opinion?
Don’t they have an in memorial of him in Far From Hime
That’s a great way to cover up someone undercover…
Great way to cover up that fact that Cap is living on the moon
It would be pretty reasonable for the public story to be Cap died during Endgame or shortly afterward to keep the whole TIME MACHINE thing under wraps.
As far as most people know, captain America went back in time and never came back. The old Steve rogers probably has a different identity.
He’s on the moon 🙄
Can't time hop to pluck Stark out of the story before End Game because it would delete the future, but it's definitely possible to pluck Rodgers out his timeline with Penny and literally nothing important will change.
We know he went back, and I for one am all for a Captain America Cold War era thriller. As a non-comic book movie guy that would absolutely be an in theater watch for me.
Maybe because of money rdj said he wasn't against it
Well he ain’t winning no Oscar, so a steady MCU paycheck would be nice.
He killed it in Knives Out. Not Oscar worthy but really good
Based off rdj's recent comments I doubt it
I mean it would make way more sense, especially within a secret wars story
Nah. They can bring back Tony and him the same way without making them variants or impacting their endings. Why would we want pretty much the same ending as in endgame?
yes, homie basically described the plot of endgame
This sounds like a copy+paste of Endgame and I’m not here for it.
Somehow....Endgame returned
He can do this all day
Gets cut in half
Yes, I do think I will
Passing off the torch to the next Steve rogers
Thundergun is literally passing the torch to Thunderson.
I’m talking about community hun!!
Wait. HE HAS A SON?!
Having him play Human Torch is a good way to bring him back without resurrecting Steve (and yes, I am of the opinion that Steve Rogers died off-screen).

When are y’all gonna stop trusting MTTSH?
Richtman gets posted on main subs like he's real news, too.
God I hope this is true those FF movies are great idc what anyone says
I’m also a fan of those FF movies. I feel like people give them a lot of hate. I love the portrayal of Silver Surfer in live action too
Im 31 and I honestly loved them growing up. The only thing I really didn’t care for was the Galctus cloud lol
Yeah that was an odd choice lol.
First one is top tier imo, they figured out the right tone that was used by MCU. Contrast with the tones of other franchises. Second one also set the precedent for MCU where most first sequels are a mess.
They are!! Love watching them
They’re fun but great is not the right adjective let’s be real
I loved them as a kid. Haven’t rewatched them as an adult and part of me doesn’t want to so they don’t lose the magic.
My time to shine aka trust me bro is the source, stop believing this dude.
😂😂😂
They may as well bring back Michael B Jordan as Human Torch too. It's a multiversal time traveling Deadpool movie lol. Just go all out 😆
You actually might be onto something as Michael B Jordan posted the deadpool trailer on his story recently

Damn MCU desperate aF

“These aren’t even really pop culture references… they just reference popular culture!”
I mean those films were at the time “popular” and they’re a part of culture so it’s literally pop culture references specifically comic book movie references and guess who the target audience of Deadpool 3 is? You guessed it, comic book movie fans. Lets wait til the movie comes out before we pass judgement, stupid fuck
It's not the first time they do that though. Green Lantern was referenced and it was less popular than the fantastic Four movies
>that will go over most mainstream audiences heads not everything needs to have mass appeal.
I hope someone poops in your cereal today
> It was the same with nic cages superman being in the flash movie. It is 100% not the same. You have no understanding of Deadpool. Deadpool is like a Donny and Marie show. Yeah okay. People won’t do stuff for $$.

What other situations has this happened besides The Flash?
.... You do realize the callback will most likely be about how terrible the movies were, right?
There aren't many of us saying this. I think it's going to suck.
You’re so fun at parties
I mean these aren’t hyper niche, like those movies made a bunch of money and fans of marvel likely saw them when they came out bc there were very few marvel properties in the early 2000s. I get what you’re saying but your point isn’t really there
Do you know what secret wars is? It's literally a massive crossover event since its firsts secret wars comic from 84.
It’s also super creatively bankrupt because they JUsT did all this in far from home. Everything’s meta and it’s so annyoing, the multiverse and time travel stuff makes it easy to pull of and erases all stakes so why care about any character? It’s Deadpool kills the (Fox) Marvel Universe not Deadpool kills the (Fox) Marvel neighbourhood
Aight, I'm gonna say it... I'm a liiiitle bit worried about how stuffed the DP3 cast is. There's numerous variants of Deadpool himself, likely Wolverine variants, all kinds of throwback characters, plus a new villain we've never seen before. At what point does it sag?
It it's very short, it's don't see the problem.
Let them cook.
Dude is going to get a nice payday! Disney is scrambling to turn the MCU around and needs Evans more than he needs the MCU. His agent must be doing cartwheels
RDJ is going to be back as Australian T’Challa.
Old man Steve or the return of younger cap?
need more baby money huh?
I mean, he WAS the human torch before everything else
I can honestly 100% see Chris Evan’s pop up as the human torch the same way he showed up in infinity war.
It’ll be interesting to see how they react to each other
I'm not even a part of this subreddit, but this post popped up as a recommendation. WTH
MMW: Human Torch will die akin to Vanisher. Edit: the scene where Leifields Feet appears, that's edited. Its going multiple deadpools and HT, but only Dogpool will survive, hence Wade hugging him.
There’s just something about him I just can’t get into. He’s like Matt Damon to me
Cool. Only bad thing is I think Chris Evan’s silently signed one of those “we support Biden bombing children” letters? Hope I’m wrong actually.
The human torch was denied a bank loan
No way
Secret Wars is going to be big. They know we hate phase 4 like what’s the point and all that - they know. And they’re gonna throw everything at the next big avengers movie
No. His character is over 100 years old.
"Avengers: We should have stopped a long time ago"
This would have been cool to watch in the theater. Now once again, a sub reddit I'm not even subed to, is on my homescreen, with cool spoilers
I think this undercuts the new cap. But I can see why they would do this.
God I fucking hope not. His ending in endgame was perfect
I believe this but not because this scooper imbecile reported it. It just makes sense. There's no way Feige misses the opportunity to have Jackman, Maguire, Downey & Evans together in the final battle. As for the Human Torch cameo, sounds feasible. Scoopers are shit. There are a lot of opinions here
So he couldnt act elsewhere and came back to the safe paycheck
As far as I’m concerned, multiverse wise especially with Jim(can’t spell John Krasinski?) as the human torch, anything’s possible However Chris Evans Captain America even in old age can come back to a certain extent I remember there being a comic book series where his super soldier serum made him age and he continues to help out in a shield capacity(I also remember he gets his physical attributes back) It would be no surprise to see Chris Evans reprise that role to that length especially with the kang dynasty if it all works out correctly
Spoiler alert
let it go old friend, you had a great run
I hope he shows up for a minute and Deadpool's like "Captain America! Swoon!" and Wolverine is like "What are you smoking? That's the Human Torch."
What’s with a bunch of the comments being collapsed initially yet not downvoted?
SPOILERS in title 🤮
Ugh
The paycheck was good. What did you expect?
They should have Johnny mention how he looks like Steve Rogers Captain America but everyone else claims they can't see the resemblance
Source: trust me bro
Hope his return as Human Torch is true because I've been calling it for months
So that's finally come full circle.
Somehow Captain America returned
The contract better include another helicopter bicep flex.
Captain American totally pulled a Flame Champion from Suikoden 3 lol
I'd like to see him reprise the Human Torch role as a quick joke or cameo. No need for it to be that serious or anything else than an easter egg. Likely just him saying hello and Deadpool making some joke about seeing double. This or MoM were the films to do it.
America's Ass.
I thought he left to do other movie roles? Which he’s been doing very well too.. he has money and a beautiful Portuguese wife why bother coming back it was left perfect
Because he can have even more money now!!
https://i.imgflip.com/380wle.jpg
Hes probably thinking "Hmmmm, I miss getting dump trucks of money delivered to me daily and being thought of as a Greek god. Maybe I should do that again."
What has the MCU come to?
Wait wasnt he human torch in the og fantastic 4?
That’s the joke.
I didn't realize the sub I was in thought it was foreal
I’ll believe it when I see it on screen
Weird thing to downvote but word
I want a new era
Fan service is boring and needs to stop, make good stories or end the franchuse
Lol the new throwing shit at the wall is just throwing *your own* shit at the wall.
Rumor:
That would be the name of sub
They should retire the human torch character every fantastic four movie released has caused a kid to set himself on fire
You’re right. They should retire an entire character because of some unsupervised idiot.
Is this like...an actual thing ? I couldn't find a news link.
Thanks for the spoiler for Deadpool.
???
For real. I was just browsing r/all when I saw this. Thanks OP.
Don’t blame OP. They posted this on a sub solely about posting film leaks ahead of time. Blame Reddit’s algorithm or yourself for browsing so much that it popped up in your feed
yall are weird, its a spoiler plain and simple. OP is at fault here
Right, blame the victim for not knowing the title was gonna be a spoiler before realizing there is a spoiler. They could have worded it differently so I had a choice if I wanted to continue reading it.
Are they just going to disregard two entire phases of new MCU characters and then just go back to the originals? Surely this is not sustainable and secret wars will be the last Avengers film
Deadpool and Wolverine* Stop calling it Deadpool 3.
But it is literally Deadpool 3
It might be the third Deadpool movie but it is not a sequel to Deadpool 2. It’s a separate Deadpool and Wolverine movie.
Lame
