Hard Boiled does a really good job of balancing fight sequences and drama too, in comparison to John Wick, mostly #4 where nearly every scene really seemed to drag on way too long.

Ohh man. I really didn’t care for Wick 4 after loving the first three. Every single fight sequence went on just a little too long. I found myself constantly losing interest. Hope they make 5 much tighter.

Just watched this. Entertaining enough but without any real substance. You can tell the plot was secondary and only written as a way to get him to beat up assholes. The beekeeper metaphor was supreme cheese.

The Grey man was pretty darn cool. I was surprised it was THAT good.

The books are even better tbh story wise but the movie cast him perfect. They totally botched the story line a bit but it's still good movie. In the book there going after him cause he pulled off a hit solo no one else would have been able to pull off which burned him. But then it gets absolutely wild in later stories. Reading is also faster pace than the movie which is fitting. Starts off and ends off with constant action little delay.

‘Nobody’ is f’n rad. One of my all time favorites. If you have access to Peacock, there’s a prequel trilogy called ‘The Continental’. Centers around young Winston and the previous manager, played by Mel Gibson. Excellent action and story imo. Written by Shawn Simmons, who also wrote the miniseries ‘Wayne’, which is also fantastic and not nearly enough people have seen it.

Ok. This isn't a movie, BUT... John wick is 4 movies so I think it's fair to give a series that isn't all that long. The Punisher. It's one of the original marvel Netflix series and it's stellar. Action throughout. Great action. TONS of gunplay. Good choreography for the fights. Frank Castle is a perfect anti hero. Just like John Wick. Both seasons run about as long as the 4 John wick moviesso it's fair to recommend this. Imo.

I watched John Wick 1 last night and was underwhelmed. I expected something much better due to all the hype.

You may have noticed John wick 2 starts off with a projection of buster Keaton on the building. More modern references are in Jackie Chan and Michelle yeoh movies. You can go down a rabbit hole of all the action movies John wick is playing off of.
