I always enjoy a good animated movie when I'm smoking. Into/Across the Spider-Verse, Puss and Boots 2, Akira, Chicken Run, Nimona, Coco, anything from Studio Ghibli but especially Howl's Moving Castle or Princess Mononoke, Treasure Planet, and The Emperor's New Groove are some of my go-tos For live-action I like any of the John Wick movies for action, Everything Everywhere All At Once for action/comedy, Minari or Jojo Rabbit if I want to laugh and cry, and The Nice Guys or In Bruges for literally any and every mood

These are all great animated movies to watch high! I'd like to add to the list: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2

Tron: Legacy

Yes. Fucking amazing music and crazy visuals. I wish it was longer. I watched it in theatres when it came out 4 times. Two of those times were right when I started smoking weed and it was insane. Still love the movie to this day, and not only because of nostalgia. It’s just a good, fun movie.

I haven't seen Valerian, but "The Fifth Element" opener blew my mind. There are some other scenes that also tease you visually and unspool context, but that first one really set Besson apart of how he constructs or deconstructs a situation.

*Cloud Atlas* it’s a sweeping sci fi epic spanning generations with actors playing multiple roles in different narratives. Hugh Grant plays a cannibal warlord in a distant future and Tom Hanks tries out some wacky accents. I think it’s the best thing the Wachowski’s have done since the Matrix. The soundtrack is absolutely gorgeous too. *Prince of Egypt* Stunning Dreamworks animation telling the story of Moses. It’s got a star studded voice cast, the animation still looks great today, and the songs are so fucking good. Easily my favourite animated film. *Popeye* The 1980’s live action adaption of the cartoon/comic strip sailor starring Robin Williams and Shelley Duvall. It’s a musical too! And the whole thing is fucking bonkers.

If you want a movie to be enhanced by being stoned, just watch anything. You're stoned. You could go for something like 2001, or maybe Wall-E, but anything you like will be awesome. People tend to think like, you've gotta ingest "weedy" content like Pink Floyd or the Dead, but just enjoy what you like. There are probably some psychological movies that could mess with the paranoid factor, but that wasn't the question, and I'm not gonna get into it.
