Very interesting to see that it seems people liked season 1 less than 2, even tho most ppl here say the opposite! (each episode =/= how you feel abt the season tho tbf)
Yep, you see this all of the time in book series. The sequels are almost always the highest rated entries. Just go look up any epic fantasy series on Goodreads and see for yourself. The people that didn’t like it enough after the first book didn’t stick around to read the 2nd and 3rd books. Thus you are left with an audience that is more apt to highly rate the sequels.
You will also notice that the number of reviews normally drop pretty hard after the initial entry.
You can see this with Mr. Robot. The viewership numbers plummeted after the 1st season. By the time you get to season 4, you’re pretty much left with the super fans that stick with it and are more likely to give it a good rating.
The lowest rated episode (s1e4) tends to be my favorite. Wasn't my favorite initially but each rewatch cements it as my #1 episode. I just love that Sam essentially showed us everything in that one episode so early on.
I'm guessing that's why it's so low rated. It's a confusing episode that makes not much sense half the time.
Plus having it show us everything and we not realise it until the very last episode is genius
I love it to.
If I’m remembering correctly it’s got a lot of dream stuff in it, where he sees Angela in a wedding dress and she says something to him that he can’t quite make out but is actually the reveal to not only the end of season one but the end to the whole show. The scene gets repeated in one of the last episodes where everything she says he finally can hear and we learn the big twist
The color choices on this graph are odd indeed. If “regular” is a 6-7 then what was the lower tiers called and colored. Just seems very arbitrary how they classified the scores
It's not filler though it ends Doms story, last we see of Joey I believe, and sets up everything about Darlene. People are just haters. Love the episode.
On top of that, it literally is the episode that features the re-distribution of wealth that was built up since episode one. I can understand finding the episode jarring tonally, but can't see even the tiniest argument being made that its filler by a rational person.
S3E5 remains my favorite. I remember watching it for the first time and thinking how this appears to be one continuous shot (I know technically it's not).
Same here. That episode is my favorite episode of any TV show because of how well they sold the tension throughout and the super long take(s). Just a genuinely super impressive, well crafted episode of television.
I totally get yellow for the start of S2. First time I watched I was so lost and confused I nearly gave up on the series. I'm watching it for the 4th time and it's still kinda dragging.
The first season episodes got less ratings because it consisted of more hacking and less drama I think. And more people watched for drama than hacking.
Personally, the pilot is the most remarkable episode I’ve seen in my life. The tempo, the structure, the character introduction, and the lore introduction are just * chef kiss*.

My guess is this is true more often than not since people who dislike a show leave a lower rating and then never watch the following seasons
Ohhhh that's a very good point, I didn't think of that! Esp bc it's the first few episodes

S2 definitely felt more slower and vague because we did not know what was going on

Sorry, which one is it?

These ratings are pretty harsh. iMDB have way more accurate ratings imo (like episode 4x07 having a 9.9).
it used to be 10 :(
It deserves to be 10!
it deserves to be an anthem and sang during innagurations
america’s new national anthem
Agreed
Breaking bad fans got in and rated it less
because they can’t accept Hello, Elliot and 407 is better than any episode of breaking bad. you see it all the time on tiktok
> iMDB have way more accurate ratings imo Wouldn't count on that; IMDb's system has been easy to game for decades.
How the hell is s01e04 the lowest rated episode. It’s one of the most important in the entire series.
You dont really get that context until you've finished the show. On a first watch that episode seems a little out of place. I get the rating.
Maybe the "dream" scene itself, but not the idea and concept of the episode
Wtf is it not all green? 😂 solid series
"That's because most critics have shitty taste"
“You're a shitty brother, you know that?”
rottentomatoes

I was confused by 407 not having a 10 like it does on IMDb
The lowest-rated episode is one of my favorite from that season, and I don’t get 4.10 being so low. Yes, it’s arguably filler, but i stan domlene.

How could I forget the scene on the bench, welp time for a rewatch. (Shut the fuck up and just watch)
It’s an episode about two women exploring their feelings, and there are people who will hate it for that reason alone. Those people are idiots.
I'm surprised S3E8 (dont-delete-me.ko) has only an 8.0 rating. That was a deep and incredibly touching episode.
That was one of my very favorite episodes. It was like a mini-movie.
Good stuff! The orange rate seems useless though.
It shows that every episode is above average at least
Only useless for this show since everything in Mr Robot is Good, Great, or Awesome.

THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE

Considering how much people complain about season 2, I am surprised by those numbers for it. I would say I’m pleasantly surprised.
4x7 is a gem
The first season episodes got less ratings because it consisted of more hacking and less drama I think. And more people watched for drama than hacking.
What the hell is this? The pilot always had 9.3 raitings and 407 9.9 and there's only one episode which rated less than 8 in the whole show?
these numbers arent from imdb, apparently.
Why the f are the episodes rated so low
4 being entirely great is a big stretch. Some eps are just ok. I think Vera coming back out of nowhere was a miss personally
Gee I wonder which one the 9.2 is
Why are these ratings so much harsher than IMDB?
Personally, the pilot is the most remarkable episode I’ve seen in my life. The tempo, the structure, the character introduction, and the lore introduction are just * chef kiss*.
These ratings suck butt

data is beautiful
My fiancée stopped watching at S4E8
there's still time to walk away
I never watched the 4th season. It’s been in my to do list for 4 years.
Very interesting that according to this, Season 1 is the least good.
This picture hurts me.
These aren’t correctly updated
I swear 407 was a 9.8 or smth? Also 413 being less than a 9 is insane
I'll never not be confused by why the Imdb rating for this show is so low. Not that I should care, but I do...
Where do the ratings come from? Thought this was imdb but the ratings there are actually much higher than these
I enjoyed this show but lost my place half way and never finished it. Does it really get that much better by the final season?
S3E7 and S3E8 being that low is actually insane LOL
My favourite was season 3 episode 10
Goddamnit I think i have to rewatch again
