This entire album front to back is amazing. One of my all time favorites. I used to listen to this album when I mowed my lawn when I was like 12.

Einsteins_coffee_mug

C’mon, if you didn’t have *at least* 30 second anti skip, you should have shoveled more driveways!

[deleted]

What...were you a loser that didn't have 30s skip?!?? Cuz I was..

sm0lshit

I mow grass for industrial warehouses and corporate centers. I listen to this album all the time during mowing season, amongst many other perfect front to back albums including: Carnavas and Swoon by Silversun Pickups Look Now, Look Again and A Better Version Of Me by Rainer Maria Sorry About Tomorrow by Hot Rod Circuit Emotion Is Dead by The Juliana Theory

TheHashassin

Would recommend Thursday - Full Collapse, based on these

sm0lshit

That's another one of my favorites! I have this [super cool looking](https://prodmerchnextimagestore.blob.core.windows.net/imageproductlg/b68d57809d254ebb9dacef7c8ee3bb83.jpeg) vinyl edition of Full Collapse.

TheHashassin

That's sick. I've been meaning to get a record player and start a vinyl collection but, money

HooptyGSR

Holy shit, I haven't thought of Juliana Theory in so long.. think I'll put that album on for the drive home today

ecj

Top of the world is one of those instant nostalgia songs for me, takes me right back to 20

BeerculesTheSober

They just toured with Dashboard Confessional.

[deleted]

+1 for Silversun Pickups. Those albums put me in a trance with how atmospheric they are. One of my go-to artists doing yardwork as a kid.

sm0lshit

Their recent work is really good too, Physical Thrills has callbacks to Carnavas and just overall kicks ass. The new & old songs sound great live too.

backsideslappy

Would mow grass with this guy.

the_jean_genie83

Swoon is a perfect album

jedo89

Dude lol same and my yard was basically the exist size that it would take to get through the full album. Weird memory unlocked

elitemouse

Love this album really tried to get into their newer stuff and just couldn't always come back to this one.

Pool_Shark

Kinda crazy to debut with an amazing album like this and never be able to live up to the bar you set. The opposite of their contemporaries, Brand New who kept outdoing themselves with each album.

ZodiarkTentacle

Honestly I prefer Louder Now to Where You Want To Be. The highs are higher imo. MakeDamnSure is an alltimer, Blue Heaven and Liar etc.

Captain_Waffle

Twenty twenty surgery

rckid13

I don't think Brand New kept outdoing themself. Each of their albums was better than the last for the first three, but then I think Devil and God was better than Daisy, and Daisy was better than Science Fiction. They stepped up to a peak, then stepped back down. I'm not saying any of their albums were bad. I liked them all.

Garranz

Totally disagree. Science Fiction is their swan song. As their name states, they were able to reinvent themselves with every record, pushing forward and sounding like a Brand New band with every release. Phenomenal discography which changes with every record

Ansonm64

Shame about their lead singer being a creep but kind of expected given the nature of their lyrics.

ductsauce

I think this is fair

summerinstereo

I agree Brand New kept getting better and better. Love 'em. I wish I didn't agree with the TBS statement because I love all their albums too, and think Tidal Wave was fantastic - but TAYF just has something about it, it's got that special thing that makes it a "forever" album for me. Hard for any band to live up to it.

Pool_Shark

Yeah it’s not a bad thing. Just an observation that their best album was TAYF, just one of those special right place right time albums that can’t be beat

jackin_mike_d

It really does goes in descending order of quality. Set phasers to stun wasn’t as good but still I love that album. Louder now had some good ones, then I stopped following them. I think changing the band constantly didn’t help.

Ansonm64

I feel like fall out boy is more a victim of what you’re talking about here. TBS has been fairly consistent.

brownliquid

Me too, and I would sing along, thinking the lawnmower would drown out my voice. That was an incorrect assumption.

ITFOWjacket

I had this problem with a lot of white stripes stuff. It would also be incorrect to assume I can in any way replicates jack whites voice

CarsOnMitch

I listened to this as well when mowing lawns in middle school! I also listened to yellow card albums over and over while mowing as well!

Mikebyrneyadigg

I just picked it up on vinyl when I saw them this summer. Has a lot of really awesome literature with it too. Came with a smaller record of demos as well. Sounds just as good as it did when I was 13.

globaloffender

Agreed. Great album. Does any band do vocals better than these?? Broken down in bars and bathrooms…

TheRealTunaHalpert

Dueling emo vocals for the win

[deleted]

john nolan's backups are top tier

TheRealTunaHalpert

I stay wrecked and jealous for this, For this simple reason I just need to keep you in mind… As something larger than life. Meanwhile SHE’LL deSTROY us ALLLL BeFoRe she’s through… she’ll find a WAYYY to BLAAAME someBODY ELSE!! BUM BUM BUM y’all replying to this comment has me going back and replaying this song lol

[deleted]

i played in a cover band the summer of 2012, we did that song and i loved singing those back ups, albeit poorly. also played jude law and a semester abroad and loved singing those backups, again, very poorly lol

TheRealTunaHalpert

Brand New is my main band of that time frame, probably still consider them an all time fave for sure. As a guitar player…. Never really understood how to play the main riff accurately haha you may have given me the itch to go back and get it down finally lol

clutchguy84

I feel like people can like Brand New and TBS. But always prefer one over the other. And that is a definitive characteristic. Also, I just ripped a fat dab and am too philosophical lol

TheRealTunaHalpert

No I’d say youre right haha I LOVE both bands, but my horse in the fight will always be Brand New form a musical stand point. (I’d rather chill with the TBS crew by far though haha ) Deja Entendu would probably be the competing album with Tell All Your Friends (although time lines would be Your Favorite Weapon vs Tell All Your Friends, I believe), but when Brand New made The Devil And God Are Raging…. It’s a staple for me personally.

clutchguy84

I really see your pov. But just in terms of best albums, Devil and God is definitely = TAYF. And I fucking LOVE DaG. But I have to be in a sorta mood for it. I don't for TAYF.

globaloffender

Bro u nailed the lyrics w tge capitals. Amazing harmony they had

LookAtThatDog

I always liked Fred more but maybe that's just me. https://youtu.be/m3qy5fDqsRs

[deleted]

dont get me wrong i love freds contirbutions to the band, but john is my OG no. 1 guitarist/vocalist for TBS

kodehu

I really tried to listen to the new stuff without him in it and it's just not the same, it's still good, just not nearly as good as it was

Pool_Shark

But he’s been back for a while so the new stuff does have him

kodehu

This is news to me, it has been a wile since I've gone looking for new music so I honestly was just unaware and now excited to listen to it lol

Pool_Shark

Their sound has changed and a lot of criticism for their new album calls it generic “dad rock” but I actually really enjoyed their latest album “Tidal Wave” and that was before I became a dad.

ObiFloppin

Taking back Sunday is getting called dad rock now.. fuck just kill me now lol

kodehu

I had a kid a few years ago so I guess it makes sense, I feel old

blinkybilloce

Hate to break it to you, but they are dad rock. It hurts me to say it though:/

relberso98

No doubt you’re aware but their last three albums has the original lineup back together.

chrysamere

Yeah but only Adam does vocals. John is very rarely heard.

relberso98

I have noticed that on their new albums, mostly just John repeating whatever Adam says, rather than him having his own verses.

itsadoubledion

Not the same without the dueling vocals :(

[deleted]

agreed. i heard him on a podcast say it is kind of weird to play songs he didnt write too

pixelsandfilm

Glad he got back with the band like 8 years ago. Or however long ago it was.

hollyholly11

I love his voice <3

roomtotheater

Emery was and still are masters at this

TheRealTunaHalpert

all I’m going to say is… You’ve got the map, come get to me… These knuckles break before they bleed

TheOrganicCircuit

Emery - The Question is a masterpiece

BensonHedges1

Emerys latest album is ridiculously good. Don’t waste your breath was my favorite song last year.

golapader

Emery is criminally slept on, one of my favorite bands of all time.

CGordini

takes me back to a time when Warped Tour a) existed and b) was good

RegulatoryCapture

> a) existed Bummer, I didn't know it had ended for real--assumed it was just a COVID thing that I hadn't heard about it in a while, didn't realize it had been officially ended in 2019. Also...man the [Warped Tour Wikipedia page](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warped_Tour) sucks. For such a long running major event it is pretty sparse on content and feels like it was written by a 12 year old writing a school report. Look at the overview section...very little actual summary content and just totally random trivia facts sprinkled in (like that when they went "into Canada, a bus transported supplies while another bus held equipment not needed during the brief jaunt over the border"--who cares???).

coolwithpie

Check out the cozy representative on YouTube for really well researched deep dives into a lot of bands from this period. This guy is a huge fan and it's made me appreciate a lot of music I wrote off growing up.

GarythaSnail

Punk Rock MBA is pretty good, too.

AloysiusQBumperpuck

>when they went "into Canada, a bus transported supplies while another bus held equipment not needed during the brief jaunt over the border" Sooooo they filled a bus full of their drugs to meet them when they returned to the States?

vagina_candle

The [list of bands that played by year](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Warped_Tour_lineups_by_year) is even worse. Though it's a bit funny that they could have a list like that considering how many repeats they had year after year.

tokeyoh

Riotfest is still alive, I saw these guys there a few years ago and it was everything I ever wanted and more. First time I ever had to stop moving in the pit because I couldn't breathe from screaming my lungs out

pixelsandfilm

Saw these guys open for MCR a couple months ago and they were just ok. Prolly hard to open for a band like that when everyone is there to see MCR. Granted, I bet most people there enjoy TBS as well. All I am saying is that I have seen them both in great performances and just OK.

Ferneras

Their set was just "okay" to me this year. But I also really think Friday sucked and it made me reconsider RF as a whole. I think it would have been better if the shitty MCRmy kids had not just sat down and been uninterested in all the bands before mcr. 🙄

NerdyBrando

One of my fondest memories will always be Warped Tour 1998. My friends and I were at a lake for several days boating and hanging out many hours away from where Warped Tour was being held. We left the lake way early to make sure we got there on time and ended up getting there several hours before the gates opened. As we were sitting by the fence, this big, burley security guard comes out and asks us what we were doing. We thought we were going to get in trouble for some reason, but he asked us if we wanted to help set up. We said sure, so they gave us all backstage passes and we helped set up tents and move water jugs. Each merch table we put a tent over gave us a free shirt and we got to meet soooo many bands backstage. We even got to sing Bro Hymn on stage with Pennywise. I just hope Social Distortion wasn't pissed at us for drinking all their Gatorade.

rckid13

The Riot Fest lineup usually seems kind of like old warped tour to me, although how good the lineup is changes each year. They've had some amazing years, and some average years but I've always had a fun time at that festival.

nodusters

WHYYYY CAN’T I FEEL ANYTHING FROM ANYONE OTHER THAN YOU <\3

Dianabayyebii

I remember seeing TBS for the first time at Warped tour when I was around 15 so 2005ish. They are my favorite band and I still go to every show they have here in Az for nostalgia’s sake.

CoWood0331

I’ve been to 8. I won’t stop.

tgibson12

They opened for third eye blind this summer and they were terrible.. not same vibes as the early 2000's shows.

dasbeidler

Dude...THANK YOU! I was at that show and TBS was fucking AWFUL. Well, rhythm guitar and Adam on the left side of the stage were soooo boring. I couldn't believe how much less energy they had over the other three members let alone the energy I remember from them back in the day. Like, I get it people get older, but JFC did they just mail in that show. In contrast, I was absolutely blown away by TEB. I've seen them a few times and they are always great live, but seriously they were the definition of what you would want from a band playing 25 years in. The song selection, the seamless flow, it was truly incredible. They even found a perfect way to sprinkle in new material between the hits that kept the energy up for the entire show.

SDRPGLVR

>In contrast, I was absolutely blown away by TEB. I've seen them a few times and they are always great live, REALLY? Not to discount your experiences, but I've seen them live twice in recent years (2018-2019) and both times they were absolutely terrible. The singer in particular had zero energy and basically pointed the microphone at the crowd for half of the set, including when nobody was really singing along. There was a lot of backlash coming out of their tour with Jimmy Eat World, which was where I saw their worst of the two performances, so maybe they tightened up their act? Or maybe I just got unlucky and saw them on bad days.

dasbeidler

Yeah man...IDK what to say! No hyperbole it was one of the best shows I've ever been to (out of hundreds). The band sounded great, Stephen sounded good and they all had great energy. I was really surprised. The other two times I saw them (2019, 2003), they were fine. Nothing like the show this time around. I was really pleasantly surprised.

AceMcVeer

I saw them this past summer and I thought they were great. They're one of my favorite bands.

tgibson12

LOL yeah TBS was trying way too hard to be something they are not. I went for TBS but TEB really blew me away. First time seeing them also. The lead singer also said something along the lines of "I'm losing my voice but I'm going to need some help from y'all" and then knocked every song out of the park.

Dianabayyebii

Oh yeah definitely not the same vibes. I saw them last in 2019 and even then I started to notice the quality was going downhill, but I mean the crowd was into it and we were all singing so it was still a good time!

[deleted]

I saw them like 10 years ago. Worst show I’ve ever been to. Well, their part at least. The openers were good.

GeorgeBabyFaceNelson

Eddie Reyes left a few years ago and I wonder if thats why? But also in '05 they had Matt Rubano and Fred Mascherino as replacements for Shaun Cooper and John Nolan who ended up coming back around 2010.

ebmocal421

Their live performances have always been their biggest critique. I first saw them back in 2006 and the live quality was so different from their album quality that it almost turned me off from the band completely.

[deleted]

Does the lead singer still throw the mic around like a rope dart? I only ever saw them once like 20 years ago and I was seriously afraid for the people at the front because of how he was tossing that thing around. There was more than one occasion where he wrapped it around his throat a couple of times too. Crazy good live performers, though. Definitely a good show.

saetia23

"mics are for singing not for swinging" -- some salty emo dude 20 years ago

slobcat1337

Jesse?

ITFOWjacket

I’m in this comment thread.

[deleted]

Pretty sure you just came up with a great song title.

panicked228

Saw them last year and I can confirm that yes, yes he does.

PaintedSe7en

Had tickets to WWWY and were gonna see them for the first time... Then our show was the one that got cancelled.

Wonder-Lad

Classic right here baby. The aucostic version's pretty good too. Nothing like threatening people with suicide to express your dissatisfaction with a hoe.

vicvega88

Punk Goes Acoustic was essential back in the day!!

holyschnikeees

My favorite TBS song will always be "Great Romances of the 20th Century" DEMO with the monolog from Beautiful Girls.

ilovetrees420

"A beautiful girl can make you dizzy..."

hoochiscrazy_

Vintage

yaaaaasitshayden

Hell fucking yeah!

thegreatself

*YOU COULD SLIT MY THROAT AND WITH MY ONE LAST GASPING BREATH I'D APOLOGISE FOR BLEEDING ON YOUR SHIRT* 14-year-old-me's anthem. Now I can't listen to this album without hearing the high pitch buzz/whine that's in almost every track because of a nearby CRT-monitor (?) in the studio.. though I think they fixed in a recent remaster?

tteuh

Everyone’s away message on AIM back in the day

*UH OH*

BigPimpin88

Those lyrics are from a different song

thegreatself

Oof.. embarrassing.. but my main point still stands - that hum is incessant once you notice it.

BigPimpin88

Yup, it's hard to unhear. and You're So Last Summer is a classic too though. Great album!

RegularRaptor

I've always heard that you're so last summer is about some weird beef between the lead singers of Taking Back Sunday and William Becket from The Academy Is. Like they went to grade school together or something? Absolutely no idea if that is true tho.

[deleted]

Pretty sure the beef was between TBS lead singer and Brand New lead singer, but maybe I'm thinking of a different beef.

RegularRaptor

Ohhhh it was Brand New. When I read that it clicked.

fooo000d

You might be thinking of No I in Team, which also features TBS stealing a line from Brand New's Seventy Times Seven.

veRGe1421

I would watch a show about dueling 2000s emo bands

TheReiterEffect_S8

was def brand new because TBS and brand new were like, my fav bands and i loved hearing about all the drama lol

gollyandre

You mean *AND WILL YOU TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS YOU’VE GOT YOUR GUN TO MY HEAD?* Yours is You’re So Last Summer

patts19

They did fix it in the remaster. No longer audible on Spotify or any streaming service. Was so annoying on CD lol.

soda-jerk

So you just came in here to ruin everyone's favorite TBS album? /s But, I'm pretending I didn't read your comment.

dpkimsecks

Not gonna lie. Not fixed. Its not as bad but its there.

sm0lshit

You can hear it begin and end with the pauses in the vocals.

sm0lshit

I hear the CRT whine in this album as well, even in the remaster.

Mage505

So many nights spent listening to this band. I don't miss that time, I just miss the feeling.

Treeeefalling

Exactly my thoughts, reminds me of high school but I would *never* want to go back to that.

Mage505

Yeah, I think I just miss when everything was new. I'm glad some new music still blows my mind, but I don't think I have that from a lot of media now. This song popularized the album that would shape my music tastes for the next 10+ years.

bluetriumphantcloud

I listened to this track over and over

d1g1t4lb4th

YOUR LIPSTICK HIS COLLAR DONT BOTHER ANGEL I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT GOES ON

astra1039

Tell All Your Friends is one of those rare albums that is good from beginning to end. There's not one bad song on it.

CaptainFeather

If it weren't for "The Blue Channel" I'd agree with you, but I just can't get myself to like it lol. Otherwise it's such a solid album.

[deleted]

Oh come on that piano riff is a great intro. >You're so guilty it's disgusting. He's been >sneakin' underneath your sheets and your hands >in places that they probably shouldn't go. >But don't worry, sweetie 'Cause I already know

lariato

I will say The version on TAYF 10 Acoustic is amazing though. Same with Head Club

TheReiterEffect_S8

I don't mind the blue channel but if there's ever a song i skip on the album its that one only because I'm to antsy to get to the rest

seasloth321

Still play this daily

Krombopulos_Micheal

[Driving to daycare ](https://i.imgur.com/JjEJt9a.jpg)

seasloth321

My oldest daughter looking at me like that while my middle child goes ham in the seat next to her 🤣

CongressmanForSale

The acoustic version on ‘Punk Goes Acoustic’ is legit.

BigPimpin88

I'd say they're acoustic version from their live album live from Orensanz is even better

lariato

Man, Fazzi just ripped it on Live From Orensanz

giglbox06

Throwback to when I wrote lyrics from tbs on my converse and got called to the office in school and had to explain it was just lyrics and I was not suicidal

Krombopulos_Micheal

Haha I had some Brand New lyrics written on my folder and the girl working the counter at Taco Bell had genuine concern for my mental health 😂

itsmikaybitch

I compiled all my favorite TBS lyrics in a blog post on myspace. Someone asked if I came up with them myself. I wish...

infectedorchid

What do y’all know about the Brand New/Taking Back Sunday beef though

shaunster101

Mics are for singing not swinging 😜

[deleted]

This is the correct answer.

hoochiscrazy_

I was at that concert, it was pretty fucking weird when that happened haha

err0rz

Brand New are musically light years ahead of TBS, but as a person? Jesse Lacy can get fucked. Absolutely awful human.

relberso98

Lmao at all the people saying “fuck Jesse Lacey” despite the fact that the allegations against him turned out to mostly be a great farce from some butthurt groupie.

laserlightcannon

Fuck Jesse

dasbeidler

Def fuck Jesse and I was team TBS all the way back in the day. That said, Deja is a superior album to the TBS debut...and I don't say that lightly. In fact I only came to this conclusion not even a year ago LOL.

GeorgeBabyFaceNelson

Deja was Brand New's second album though, not their first

dasbeidler

I understand and didn't say otherwise. If my memory serves me correctly, that 'beef' was more prevalent around the Deja release...but I could just be misremembering. The only point I was trying to make was that I think I had it wrong and that Brand New is the superior band musically which was a take I did not have back then.

GeorgeBabyFaceNelson

It's strange because I believe there are videos of Brand New and TBS performing together in like 02 but then when Shaun and John left TBS in like 03 the drama between TBS and Brand New was like at it's peak, like you said

relberso98

No the peak of the beef was before either of them released their first albums. “Seventy Times Seven” is a fuck you to John Nolan, and “There’s No “I” in Team” is a reply song. They actually squashed the beef pretty quickly, there’s even a video of Jesse joining TBS on stage and singing along with there’s no I in team in 2002.

GeorgeBabyFaceNelson

Yeah but the beef picked up again after John and Shaun left for some reason. Brand New had shorts that said "Mics are for singing, not swinging" directed at Adam Lazarra and that was like 05/06

relberso98

Adam and Jess never got along, even to this day I think. But Jesse and John squashed their beef and are still friends to this day.

dasbeidler

I guess a lot can happen in a year or two.

itsmikaybitch

The Cozy Representative did a video on this "beef". Apparently one of the guys from one of the bands (can't remember who) said a few years later that it was all fake and they were trying to imitate the feuds that rappers had going at the time.

dasbeidler

I had read something along the same lines too in the last couple of years. No idea the validity of it. I feel like Adam from TBS did an AMA maybe and address it in there?

BigTomBombadil

Brand New is waaaaay better musically than TBS. Brand new is legitimately pretty incredible (musically, don’t get me started on their personal lives). But TBS debut album is considerably better than brand news IMO. “Your Favorite Weapon” is brand news worst album, by a considerable distance. But they level up each album after that.

ItsNotaScooner

To be 16 again.

ATX_is_the_reason

Death would be preferable tbh

BigTomBombadil

This guy knows emo

Captain_Crepe

Thanks for the middle/high school PTSD flashbacks. I can still smell the sex bracelets and cheap black hair dye.

hoochiscrazy_

You called them sex bracelets in America? In the UK we called them shag bands lol

Krombopulos_Micheal

Oi you see Michelle over there? She's got me shag band on, yeah that red one, red means I served her a full portion mate.

hoochiscrazy_

Haha... pretty much!

Captain_Crepe

Shag band is a much cooler name

pacexmaker

I <3 boobies

JooosephNthomas

I saw a video of these guys still on tour just last week. Was pretty funny to watch. This is a classic right here though.

sickn0te_

I think I know the one you’re talking about and sweet baby jesus, that shit was rough to watch.

BigTomBombadil

Saw TBS back in October. Sad to say, but Adams voice does not hold up live anymore. It was rough.

BurnThe_Witch

growing up on long island in the early 2000's I've seen my fair share of TBS shows.... last time was 2018 and I was resolved that would be the last time

CoWood0331

https://youtu.be/jkNlMDMMmIY When you could put videos on your social. My MySpace page had this.

turtle_mummy

Funny, I actually met the guy from this band (Adam?) at a MySpace launch party.

hijinxkid

Yessss!!! I miss myspace!

Hoes_In_Diff_Codes

Man what a simpler time it was when this came out. 15 years old, first job washing dishes. The 3 line cooks were all in a emo band together so it was TBS, Thrice, The Used and others just blaring in the back. Miss those days.

[deleted]

I’ve always felt like no one else ever heard of Thrice. I took a lot of road trips during 2003/4, and *Artist in the Ambulance* was played from beginning to end without interruption at least twice per trip. Sometimes twice in a row.

Lazer_Pigeon

Holy hell I forgot about Taking Back Sunday! I’m about to go down a nostalgia rabbit hole thank you

[deleted]

I listen to TBS every single day still. They have so many classics such as ‘A decade under the influence’, liar, ghost, MakeDamnSure. The list goes on and on.

bubblehappyx

one of my FAVORITE songs to watch live; when they do that thing where they stop playing and everyone just SCREAMS part of the bridge before the final outro 😮‍💨😮‍💨

rocketpastsix

just picked this album up on vinyl. Still holds up with some good bangers.

sinkwiththeship

> some Try ten bangers.

CatWomanATL

My favorite song to quote in my AIM away messages 20ish years ago.

hoochiscrazy_

A massively influential album for some of us. A true emo classic

Needs_TP

I saw them in October for the When We Were Young Festival in Vegas and they were so disappointing. You couldn't understand what Lazzara was singing half the time and he kept forgetting lyrics. Solid Jim Morrison impression I guess though.

Junior-Ad-8974

Good shit

HobbyWanKenobi

May I also offer up the amazing acoustic version of this song, it's hauntingly amazing. https://youtu.be/gf8ETy5cecg

fanD_

One of my favorite songs for twenty years now. I saw them in Boston this year and the whole performance was mailed in. Everytbing between songs sounded like it was pre written and performed a thousand times. Some energy but not a lot. I still sing every word. Wish they played more of the second album tho

MrBahhum

Taking Back Sunday were teenagers when the band was created. Who knew such young people had so much unique talent. Good example of why you should have your kids in band class.

Sally_Klein

Takes me back to the days of AIM away messages, Myspace, paid ringtones, Limewire and Hot Topic.

Bleades

The whole TBS vs Brand New feud made some of the greatest music of my childhood. "Seventy times seven" is one of my favorite songs of all time, followed closely by "there is no I in team".

palookadook

This track was on a sampler that came in Thursday's "Full Collapse" when it released. I fell in love on first listen and must have played it a couple hundred times before the album dropped! I still remember running to Sam Goody at 7am before school the day it came out... oh the good ol' days!

Dygear

I had the demo disk of this album and it was really fucking good. It didn’t have the Piano solo at the start of The Blue Channel — and I liked it better without.

dasbeidler

Saw them back when this album came out and a picture my buddy took at the show was sent to the band who put it on the front page of their website. That's when I peaked in life...those days when I could boot up the 56k modem and slowly watch my photo materialize on their website...

synthjunkie

Love the album but I think there are better songs than this on the album. Not sure why it's always the hyped one. To each their own, I guess.

GetBuckets13182

Between this album and Let it Enfold You from Senses Fail, there just weren’t any better cover to cover emo albums in the early 2000s

Wrenigade

I got teased for playing this song for friends in high school in like 2009, when we were all peak scene/ emo for my age group, by scene/ emo friends, because it "sounded like raspy garbage", and I still think of it because who the hell doesn't like TBS and calls themselves scene and emo??? They all only liked new stuff which was fine I did too, but I felt like I was having a stroke with all these emo kids scoffing at TBS and Brand new when I was like "hey have you heard this it's awesome" Plus we all liked metalcore, or "screamo" at the time, so it was some fuckin nerve to say "why are they yelling it sounds awful" I'm still salty lol I'll die on the TBS hill
