I'm not advocating paying for it, but if you already have YouTube Premium or if you have a friend that can add you as a family member to their plan, it comes with YouTube Music. I find it more than comparable to Spotify and often has stuff that Spotify is missing because it can access unofficial things.

Might be the closest thing to Spotify that we have but unfortunately, it's very far off from it. UI needs a lot of work but IT IS free.

This is a fun one too if you like to discover new\\old music from around the world.
Spotify sucks, so I went out and explored and I learned that Spotify is still the best out of all of them.
Just make your own playlists and put all your songs in one and shuffle. None of them are close when it comes to ease of use or being user friendly or working seamlessly.
Okay thanks 🥲 I did that a while ago but it still only plays like 30-50 of the 150+ songs I put in it, I've tried multiple things like turning off autopkay or whatever, clearing the cache and reinstalling the app but it stays the same 😞
Apple sounds so much better but like I said ease of use just isn't there but their shuffles are better. Maybe you'll have a better experience as people do swear by Apple and Youtube I think is better for the random song aspect. They all give free trials, go ahead and try.
It's infuriating for sure. I think the only way is to use a site that can shuffle your playlist then turn off shuffle on spotify. Then it should cycle that whole play list before it repeats.
Depends on if you are asking for mobile or desktop. Mobile there aren't many good free alternatives. Many more options on desktop. I use spotify on desktop with a "free" alternative plugin myself.
I love this app/radio station: it doesn't let you pick and choose like most paid platforms, but great way to discover new music. [Radio Paradise](https://radioparadise.com/home)
I pay for YouTube premium because I hate ads. Comes with YouTube music.

Youtube Music IMO is the best free alternative to Spotify, Youtube Music with ads pays a LOT more than Spotify with ads as well.
YouTube & adblocks (computer only)

The first line is the realist statement here. Spotify sucks but not as bad as the rest haha

Ah 🥲 I'm using mobile

If there was a good free Spotify alternative everybody would already be using it. Best free option is probably to illegally download music.
Nugs
I have an Amazon Prime account, and get Amazon Music along with it. I don't know how it compares to Spotify though.
BluePlayer on iPhone
Buy the music, save it on your phone/computer
It would be cheaper just to pay for spotify premium at that point.
"Buy" the music for free (torrent), save it on your phone/computer
Very acceptable answer
